ข้อความThank you for such a wonderful and relaxing holiday experience. I would especially like to thank all the lovely staff members. Dern is truly talented and knowledgeable in many different activities, especially the stretching exercises and techniques that I had never seen before. It made me feel incredibly relaxed and refreshed. It’s such a pity that I had never known about Thai Stretching before. Thank you for providing such great activities and for having staff who truly pay attention to every detail and take such good care of the guests.

    Expensive soul-less resort.

This is a massive resort with no “Thai-feeling” whatsoever. Honestly, this resort could have been in Greece,Spain or anywhere. The pool areas are nice- crowded but nice. But the prices at the pool bar/restaurant was insane. Same prices for coffee and water as in Denmark. Every other place we’ve stayed in Thailand they offer complementary water by the pool or beach, here you pay 10X the price for a bottle of water as you do in 7/11. The food wasn’t impressive either. You cannot swim at the beach due to rocks and strong current or marine hazards. You can’t walk along the beach anywhere. Honestly,in Thailand you can’t walk do SO much better than this place.

OK but could be much better

The hotel itself is very nice, lots of facilities and several pools. It’s west facing too so sunsets from the pool. Also has a great breakfast with loads of choice. Lots of activities including table tennis, pools and gym (although this has no aircon and no water available in the gym itself!). The hotel is also very family orientated so great for kids (has a small waterside in the main pool). There is also a spa onsite too. On the downside, there are way too few sun beds near the main pool and no enforcement on sunbeds being ‘saved’ all day with nobody actually using them. The staff have meant to enforce against this type of action but it doesn’t happen so ‘sunbed wars’ if you want to get a sunbed for the day! Swimming in the sea here is difficult too as very rocky so you need to travel to visit decent sandy beaches where you can swim (Long beach is highly recommended). A minor issue but something you expect in 5* hotels is there is no bell system from poolside sunbeds (if you are fortunate enough to actually get one!) so no way of ordering door or drinks apart from at the bar. One tip is book a garden room. Would advise against the Tropical rooms as these are upto a 10 minute walk from the facilities. The hotel offers a buggy to these rooms but not ideal. Garden room is very near the main pools and restaurant. So to conclude, it’s a nice hotel, has many 5* features but some annoyances too. Would I rebook? Probably not as would want to see what other high end hotels there are on Koh Lanta. Think this is

Up to date and honest review from family trip

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Family Stay at Rawi Warin – Wildlife, Warmth & a Few GapsWe’re frequent travellers and regularly explore the world with our children, so we feel we have a good benchmark when it comes to family-friendly resorts. We spent two weeks at Rawi Warin Hotel (March–April 2026), and overall, it was a memorable stay with plenty of highlights—especially for nature lovers.🌴 The Good StuffThe grounds are absolutely beautiful—lush, well-maintained, and full of wildlife. Waking up to monkeys on the balcony was a daily highlight! We also spotted squirrels, cicadas, butterflies, lizards, frogs, hummingbirds, herons, and even a pair of sea eagles by the beach. The large pond is fascinating, home to carp and catfish—but the real stars are the Asian water monitors (around 4–5 of them). Watching them appear at fish feeding time (10:00) to grab bread—and occasionally a fish—was incredible. The hotel really makes an effort with families: • Ice cream, popcorn, and candy floss treats for kids 🍦 • Bikes available to ride around the resort 🚲 • A lovely Friday movie night on the beach 🎬Breakfast was excellent and varied, with plenty of choice. We mostly ate lunch by the pool, which was consistently good. Evening restaurants were also nice, but very expensive compared to local options—you can easily feed a family of four outside the hotel for £20–£30 including drinks.Staff were fantastic throughout—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Housekeeping kept our room spotless, and the rooms themselves were clean, comfortable, and had a nice balcony. The resort has 2–3 pools, including a children’s pool with a slide, which became the main social hub for kids.Other highlights: • The Lanta Lanta Festival was great fun • Thai culture is incredibly welcoming to families ❤️ • Beautiful weather throughout ☀️ • The beach is soft and scenic, with great snorkelling (though you’ll need sea shoes due to rocks and sea urchins)We had no trouble getting sunbeds in the first week, though it got busier in the second. The gym is well-equipped and open all day. The spa looks lovely but is pricey—especially compared to beachside massages nearby (~£10/hour and excellent quality). There’s also: • A handy gift shop (including sun cream) • A dive/snorkel shop with helpful staff and trip bookings • Reliable (though slightly pricier) hotel transfers⚠️ The Not-So-GoodThe biggest downside for us was the lack of a proper kids club. There’s a small play area for younger children, but nothing structured or staffed—and nothing at all for older kids (8–15). Our children were even turned away from the pool room because it’s 16+, which felt like a missed opportunity. The local area is very quiet. We’re not sure if this was due to wider travel issues, but we often had to take taxis to find some atmosphere. Even Lanta Old Town was quieter than expected. While there were some activities available, many came at an extra cost, which added up.And while not the hotel’s fault—mosquitoes were relentless, so pack strong repellent!🌏 Other NotesWe booked trips via Viator: • Koh Ha / Koh Rok – stunning and well worth it • Phi Phi Islands – beautiful but extremely commercialisedKoh Lanta itself feels quite different from other parts of Thailand: • Strong focus on diving and snorkelling • Fewer temples or cultural landmarks • Around 80% Muslim population, so some restaurants are halal and don’t serve alcohol—but the food is still fantasticThe hotel had a good mix of nationalities—French, German, British (more in week two), plus Scandinavian and Australian guests. One final note: the evening humidity is intense, so pack accordingly or plan to do laundry regularly!⸻⭐️ Overall we have to scale at 4 stars due to:A beautiful, nature-filled resort with excellent staff and family-friendly touches, but let down slightly by the lack of structured activities for older children and a very quiet local area.Would we return? Yes—for the setting and relaxation—but with adjusted expectations and for a much shorter period.
