Location

This resort is set on a 200-metre-long, wide beachfront area, on the best white sandy beach section of Chaweng. The beach is ideal for swimming around the year. The centre of Chaweng Beach is around 1 km away and there guests will find tourist attractions and shops. Nearby attractions include the Big Buddha Temple and the Grandfather and Grandmother Stone Formation, which are both approximately 5 km from the hotel. The local airport, Samui Airport, is roughly 15 km away.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 32 villas/houses. The following room categories are also available: 79 rooms, including 47 double rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk are on hand round the clock to assist guests with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning ensures comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. For guests' convenience, units include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a tumble dryer. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a CD player, a DVD player, a plug adapter and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The complex has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. A variety of activities are available at the resort, for example cycling/mountain biking, beach volleyball and fishing or, for a fee, golf and horse riding. With snorkelling or, for a fee, water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and a solarium. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a café and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the non-smoking restaurant, which features air conditioning and a separate area for smokers. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Recommend this resort for a relaxing beach holiday. We stayed at Resotel for 11 nights over Songkran and Easter, and although the hotel was busy the staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the pool and bar facilities, and the buffet breakfast options were good. Recommend staying on a high floor if not in a pool villa, as we got a balcony with a sea view.     We had a wonderful stay at Samui Resotel Beach Resort. The location is perfect—peaceful and not too busy, yet still very close to everything. The staff were amazing, from the reception team to the cleaning staff who looked after our room so well, and especially the lovely shuttle driver, Chao, who dropped us off at the airport.     The Samui Resotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff especially the lovely cleaner we had were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. Having the pool access room made it even better. It was close enough to the centre of chaweng 100baht per couple.Very close to good eateries.
