    Lovely Sai Daeng

    rating18 Feb 2026

Amazing hotel with outstanding views. Rooms are great. Fresch and clean. Good food and drinks. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Lots of offers like yoga, Muay Thai, massage etc. We booked their longtailboat for a whole day, went to Koh Tao 5 most amazing snorkelingsites, amazing experience with a super guide. - for lots of steps and hills. Think twice if you have back or kneeproblems. Not for disabled people. +would love to go there againAbsolutely recommended!

Definitely not for you if you enjoy white fluffy towels and a little bit of luxury!!

    rating11 Feb 2026

I feel it is only fair to point out that we visited the Sai Daeng Resort towards the end of our holiday, having previously stayed in some amazing hotels. If this had been our first stop, perhaps we wouldn't be so critical, difficult to know. Firstly, the many positives. The setting is incredible, literally right on the beach. The snorkeling (the reason we booked here) was amazing - you can swim to the coral reef right from the beach, and we saw a huge variety of colourful fish, a turtle and some sharks! It is incredibly peaceful, and listening to the waves whilst in bed (which was very comfortable) is a great experience. The air con is effective so had a good night's sleep. The staff are all so lovely, friendly and polite. The pool is attractive with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The cocktails are absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, especially during Happy Hour. We enjoyed some of the many complimentary activities, especially the bead craft. So why only 3 stars? Our room (a superior sea view with balcony) and the part of the hotel that we were situated in, was very dark and dingy, in fact my husband likened the grey stone corridor to a prison! It was in desperate need of redecoration and a general make over. I REALLY didn't like the bathroom and I think the attached photos will show why. Maybe the grey concrete walls and floor might have appeared stylish when the hotel was first built, but now it is very grim indeed. After reading other reviews and speaking to a guest who was staying in a different part of the hotel, we are wondering if we were unlucky in the room we were allocated. I just know that after four nights, I was relieved to be leaving, which is such a shame! Even the wooden chairs on the balcony were so uncomfortable, even though it was easily big enough for nicer chairs or even sunbeds. There weren't even any cushions in the room to help us enjoy the amazing view. Breakfast was ok, not quite up to the standard we had started to get used to in some of the bigger hotels, but not a problem. The sunbeds on the beach were very old and worn, but again, we weren't too worried by this.Great memories of the snorkeling, but generally disappointed.

Magical week at Sai Daeng Resort

    rating02 Feb 2026

Truly a magical place run by warm people with love in their heart. The location is unparalleled in beauty. The service was exemplary in very way. The yoga was my personal favorite. I did yoga every day for 7 days. The restaurants food is excellent and offers a good variety of dishes to suit all tastes. I highly recommend

Quiet slice of heaven on earth.

    rating02 Feb 2026

A slice of heaven! Graciously built into the natural granite formations and a huge natural sandy beach this resort is an ideal zen location. We have an amazing two bedroom villa with an infinity pool to which it seems many of the villas came with pools. The main pool was perched on a cliff that was a dramatic infinity pool so definitely check out their videos as hard to imagine the expanse. Coupled with the best service and most polite staff. The rooms were very clean and well appointed with very update to fixtures. Great value and quite serene!

    5* Location - 3* Hotel

    rating29 Jan 2026

5* Location - 3* HotelThis was our last stay in Thailand and we were really looking forward to it... Sadly I felt it lacked in so many areas - staff are young and poorly trained, usually had to ask 3 times for a drink. Moved room after day one as no balcony or even chairs in the room - hefty upgrade charged.Generally a very uncomfortable hotel - hard chairs everywhere apart from the pool. Sunbeds on the beach need changing - like something from the 80s! Food is average at best. No management around to check on staff - I saw staff daily taking photos to obviously send to the boss.Pool sunbeds not opened until 10.30 unless you help yourself.Felt generally quite grubby and unloved.500bht for a taxi (supplied by hotel) is ridiculous for a max 10 minute journey so other than getting the shuttle we felt quite trapped. It was 500bht in Bangkok for a taxi from central hotel to the airport (45 minutes) as a comparison.
