  I have read many of the reviews regarding this extremely quaint and beautifully situated collection of apartments, and having stayed in different classes of hotels from Bangkok to Beirut, and Bahrain to Boracay, and also being almost 60, having suffered 3 bouts of cancer, I did not find the unexpected multi-flights of steps up to these apartments an issue, even in 32⁰ heat. I absolutely detest mosquitoes and any sort of annoying parasitic insects which there were plenty of externally but I never experienced one inside the room, nor did I experience other problems of any kind with the room, or facilities, and I am extremely difficult to please. Also nothing but instant help from the reception and dining room staff. I was accompanied by my Thai fiancée, who agreed the small exertion of the 165 steps is more than compensated for by the beautiful views, will definitely return!!

  Hipps a major disappointment

  The hipps hotel is a very isolated hotel around a 45 minute walk into main area. It can only be reached otherwise by boat. We got the long boat to the hotel with our cases only to be met by around 180 steps to reception. After checking in we proceeded to our rooms which are small, dingy and worse for wear. The view is good. We tried to complain only to be met with shrugging shoulders. We had to book another hotel for the 3 days we were there and took the next long boat back to the Harbour My suggestion would be not to book or go, absolutely terrible customer service and hotel.

  I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. We booked 3 rooms with a partial sea view; we received two such rooms, but the third one was far away from the others and had a garden view. We went to the reception to find out why this happened, and we were met by a very unpleasant administrator who kept yelling, rolling her eyes, and insisting that this was exactly the room we were entitled to. When we opened the photos on Booking, it was clear that the room given to us was photographed and listed as “garden view,” but she disagreed. When we asked to be given the room we had paid for, she said that if it didn’t suit us, we could sleep on the street.When we asked for the documents we had signed, it was visible that for one of the rooms something had been covered over with a white marker; after rubbing it off, the room number appeared — the one that should have been ours, next to the other two rooms. This means they gave away the room assigned to us to someone else for a bribe. When we asked for the manager’s phone number, it was not provided, and they hid the contact details of the responsible persons. I strongly do not recommend staying here if you don’t want to ruin your nerves and your vacation. And judging by how many negative reviews there are about this administrator, maybe it’s already time to change something?

  Great buget hotel with everything you need away from phi phi but also near enough to visit

  Great little budget hotel well worth the money. 165 steps up from the beach so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems/ heart conditions!Great clean room with beautiful viewsBasic breakfast but plenty of it and presented nicely Resort accessed by a long tail boat and plenty of nice restaurants and bars on the beach No private beach but 100 baht can rent you a sunbed for the day 10 mins on the long tail boat gets you to into phi phi which has loads of shops restaurants and bars Great for a few days stay with a young backpacker vibe!

  Quiet, chilled and peaceful bungalows close to all the Long beach fun

  A lovely very cute and quiet accomodation choice. High on a hill and I mean high - see photo of the stairs. It's very low key, lots of wooden bungalows with many facing to the sea and getting fab views. Very basic in the bungalows but all you need. Great bed, very comfy, good modern space and decor. Needs a bit of an update but really manageable considering the cheap price. Nice outdoor seat to sit on balcony and watch the sunset. Large communal eating area and bar which seems very quiet due to all the choices down on the beach but has the best view. Lovely staff, so kind and friendly and made me feel very welcome. Good breakfast included - eggs, toast, fruit, granola etc and the coffee is strong. Easy access to the Long beach and all the bars and area. Great compromise as you have access to the beach and all the fun stuff but you can sleep far away and chill. It's so quiet here you would forget you're on Phi Phi. Cheaper than Phi Phi resort next door - well worth the dollars you pay and way better than some of the other cheap budgets ones along the beach.TIP: when staying on Long beach check the Tides on a daily basis as they do make a huge difference to the beach experience as nearly comes right up to the hotels and no beach to lie on at hide tide.If you have any mobility issues then do not choose this place as it's a steep walk up a lot of steps otherwise book now!!
