Originally booked for 4 nights. Extended for another 2 days. Good comfortable stay. Nice breakfast. The hotel is located in central pattaya, but still walkable distance to beach road, shopping malls, nightlife areas etc. Has a decent gym & pool area on the terrace.

Excellent value hotel

I stayed with points redemption. Platinum status was acknowledged by the staff at check in. Check in process was very smooth, with a fully paid points redemption they didn't even need a deposit. The room was clean and simple. The bed was comfortable and there were pillows of different firmness to accommodate different preferences for sleeping. The TV was a smart TV but the channels were not in HD. The bathroom came equipped with standard amenities. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but functional. The shower was on the small side, no tub, with a shower curtain than made it feel even smaller. It was fine though. The desk area and the chair were not especially comfortable and I would not fine it comfortable to work here on a laptop. The refrigerator worked well. Enough closet space for a short trip. There was a sitting chair and a small table in the room that were far more comfortable than the desk and desk chair. Everything was very clean and the room service was on point with the cleaning. Air conditioning worked very well and was adjustable. Sleep was good - I didn't hear any noise from the hallway or other rooms, and there wasn't loud music from the street either. Very impressive for the hotels in Pattaya that tend to have hit or miss sound insulation. The location of the hotel is a little farther down Soi Buakhao, but was along the baht bus route so it wasn't difficult to get around. It wasn't in the best location for those who want to be in the heart of the action, but I would trade the few baht it takes for baht bus rides for the peace and quiet when trying to sleep. Plenty of massage shops around outside the hotel, a few places to eat quite nearby, and a 7-11 very close, turning right outside the hotel.Breakfast was included and was surprisingly good for this class of hotel - I would not compare what a Holiday Inn Express in the US offers. There were plenty of hot and cold options, bread, egg station, fresh fruit - very impressive spread for something that is included for all guests. Nothing was truly exceptional here, but for something that is free and for this price class of hotel, it definitely punches above weight class.I was honestly really surprised by the quality of this hotel - even though I stayed on points redemption, for those paying cash, it represents excellent value for the money.

Not happy at Holidayinn express pattaya

Hotel basically without manager. I had few issues and didn’t got to talk with manager. Asked at reception , lady told me she was the manager. Not true . She just needed to back up one colleague, at bkf that made an issue. This is the first time in 25 years something like that happened. Nobody said to me was manager and wasn’t..not IHG policy. This hotel has few problems. No manager. Bad location, it is at one of the worse street pattaya. Some noise rooms . Service is not controlled , no manager on bkf . No manager housekeeping, basically no control. Staf does what they want. Don’t speak English, or very bad.. just few staff. On top of that the price is much more then similar hotel are. The distance to the beach is more than 6/700 meters.Just justified the price as IHG service and quality. But is not there….

Pattaya Weekend Done Right: Holiday Inn Express Pattaya CentralForget those exhausting long-haul flights. Sometimes, the best summer reset is just a short drive from Bangkok. Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central has become that perfect "base camp" for anyone wanting a mix of city buzz and coastal chill without the usual travel stress.Living that Central LifestyleThe location is a total win. Being right in the epicenter of the lively district means the best local spots are only minutes away. The best part? A quick 10-minute stroll lands you right on the beach, so there’s zero hassle with parking or fighting traffic. Plus, having Central Festival practically next door makes shopping or grabbing a legendary local meal way too easy.Sleep, Eat, RepeatThe rooms here strike that sweet spot—modern, super photogenic, and actually functional. Even though the hotel stays busy, the rooms feel like a private little sanctuary. The signature bedding is a lifesaver; being able to choose between soft or firm pillows pretty much guarantees a deep, restorative sleep. The food situation is where they really nail the lifestyle:Grab & Go: Perfect for those mornings when the beach or a tour is calling and there’s no time to sit. Just grab a quality bite and head out.The Signature Brunch: For the slow-starters, this is the highlight. From 10 AM to 3 PM, the chefs put out a spread that’s way more refined than your average hotel breakfast. It’s the ideal spot for a relaxed, late-morning hangout. The 9th Floor EscapeWhen it's time to tune out the world, the 9th floor is the place to be. The Rooftop Pool feels like an elevated oasis, especially around sunset when the city views start to glow. Right next to it, the Fitness Center is decked out with state-of-the-art gear, so staying on track with a workout routine feels effortless even on holiday. It’s these little things—the IHG standard of hospitality paired with a prime location—that turn a simple weekend trip into a proper summer highlight.
