XANADU Beach Resort – Coral Island 🏝️ (Koh Larn Island 🇹🇭, Thailand)I am a regular guest at XANADU Beach Resort, Coral Island (Koh Larn Island, Thailand), and I continue to return because of the beautiful location, kind staff, and natural beauty of the property.This visit, I did not see the regular General Manager, but Ms. Ramita took excellent care of me. She personally recognized me and remembered my reservation, which she had handled through Facebook booking — a very professional and personal touch. On arrival, I met Ms. Ramita and her front office team, who were polite and welcoming.However, I only received my room key at 2:00 PM, which meant almost a two-hour wait, with no flexibility for early check-in. That was disappointing.I received a good room price as requested — end building, upstairs room # F 12 with breakfast.The island is truly beautiful 🏝️, the beach is lovely 🏖️, and the surroundings are peaceful.The roads from the ferry port to the hotel have improved a lot since my last visit — bigger and newer roads now, which is a big plus.The hotel truck kindly picked me up near the ferry port at the Lord Buddhist Temple.✅ Positive Points • Very kind and friendly staff throughout the hotel • Excellent housekeeping service • Beautiful island and beachfront location • Friendly restaurant staff • Management clearly tries to maintain the property well⚠️ Areas That Need Improvement📺 TV Channels IssueThe hotel lists 30 TV channels, but only about 20 work.Important international channels like BBC, CNN, and FOX TV do not work, which is disappointing for international guests.🏖️ Beach FacilitiesThere is a shortage of beach towels, sun beds, and umbrellas.The beach is long and spacious — there is plenty of room to add more sunbeds and umbrellas for guest comfort.☕ Room SuppliesHousekeeping is excellent, but there should be more sugar, tea, and coffee packets in the room. I had to go downstairs to the restaurant to get them.🍽️ Food OptionsThe restaurant menu is the same for lunch and dinner. Many guests leave the property to eat dinner elsewhere, which shows the need for menu improvement and more variety.🐕 🚨🚨🚨 Serious Safety Concern 🏨❌💊🚨🚨🛞 Wild DogsThis is a major issue at the property: • Wild dogs chase guests • Destroy hotel property • Bite and tear plastic water bottles • Take items left on beach beds or outside roomsIf anything is left outside, it gets destroyed by 🐕 DOGS 🚨🚨🚨.This is unsafe, and it is only a matter of time before a guest gets hurt.Hotel management and local municipal authorities must urgently control the wild dog population before someone gets bitten. ❌💊🚨🙈🐕There are warning signs about wild dogs, but warnings alone are not enough ❌🙈🐕🚨 real action is needed.Some of my own family members are allergic to dogs and cats, which makes this even more concerning.🌱 Environmental Concern (Eco-Friendly Request)In the morning, I noticed a lot of garbage floating in the sea, including plastic bottles.Places like Boracay Island and Hanoi Lakes in Vietnam have banned plastic bottles entirely.I strongly recommend XANADU Beach Resort consider: • Reusable water bottles • Water refill stations • Eliminating single-use plastic bottlesThis would protect the environment and improve the resort’s long-term sustainability and image.🌟 Final ThoughtsXANADU Beach Resort – Coral Island (Koh Larn Island, Thailand) is a good beachfront property with kind staff, a beautiful natural setting, and strong potential.♥️⛴️❤️ I will continue to return, but:⚠️ Wild dog problem must be handled urgently📺 TV channel services must be fixed🏖️ Beach facilities need improvement🍽️ Food variety needs upgrades🌱 Eco-friendly policies should be introducedPlease take care of the wild 🐕🙈💊🚨❌ dog population before someone gets hurt.Prevention is better than tragedy.Thank you very much.

Fantastic location, a great clean quiet beach with watersports, food and drinks. Crystal waters too. The staff were all super friendly from reception to the F&B people. Breakfast is the same as you get in a million hotels across Thailand, perfectly respectable. Room was fine, clean, good Aircon and a seating area outside. Value for money? Absolutely! I am sure we will be back.

Xanada is the best on Koh Lan

I have visited other places on Koh Lan but Xanadu is just the best. Some beaches and hotels on the island are just overrated by Europeans who already get excited when they can see a beach. Im living in Pattaya and a beach alone is not even half of what you can expect. In Xanada everything is perfect, -the location, the food, the service. The beach is not swamped by other tourists but as a guest of Xanadu you enjoy a private beach where you can sit in peace and silence. The services of the staff are very good and at this point I just would like to point out the friendlyness of Tap and Nook from F&B. If you go to Koh Lan and dont know where to go try Xanadu. You will not regret it.

Beautiful island and hotel clean and comfortable

The room i had was lovely and clean, the private beach a 30 second walk away. Staff were polite and helpful always. Shuttle bus runs regularly to the pier area which is busier. Local restaurants near by offer a variety of food. Beautiful area, beach and clear blue sea, the sunsets alone are worth the trip!

If your looking for a calm and clean beach in koh larn , then this is your destination. Very clean rooms on a beach front resort , a very friendly staff with great service. Rating this resort with my rtips around the island will be 5/5.Samae beach is wonderful and calm compared to others, and this resort specially is the best resort you can stay in koh larn.Booked in 18 with a late arriving flight to BKK so i couldn't reach the island after 6pm The staff shifted my booking for one extra night in order not to loose the first night ,and it was very considerat and generous. A true great service in a wonderful place in koh larn .Thank you for a great experience.
