  Better than expected… noisy at night but great location!

  Having read lots of reviews on here I was extremely skeptical about what our stay would be like. We were located in ST (superior room) and from reading previous reviews it is definitely better than their standard rooms. The room was a good location on the resort, with a smaller pool right outside our door and a beautiful view. We had chairs and a rack for wet towels etc which was useful. The bedding was clean and we were provided with fresh towels each day. However, like other reviews have mentioned the cleanliness is slightly lacking. The sinks are covered in limescale, shower walls slightly grubby from what looks like a build up of soap over time and there was little bits of dirt on the floor and dust behind bedside cabinets. Mirrors also have stains on them. It is a shame as it just needed a good clean and then it would look perfect.On our first night we had issues with the toilet flushing. My partner went and told them twice and they came to ‘fix it’ however it was not fixed. On the 3rd time of telling them they told us to move to another room nearby. This room was vile with mould on the walls (walls were also wet) and an extremely dirty shower and toilet. We said we were not sleeping in there and asked for our toilet to actually be fixed like we asked originally and to be fair to them 3rd time lucky it was. The breakfast had a lot of variation…. There was sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes, cereals, breads, juices, hot drinks, fruits, and cakes/pastries. We thought this was great! It was quite noisy at night due to the location but we accepted this given that it was not far at all to walk to anything (6 mins to viewpoint, 3 mins to a shop, 1 min to breakfast and the beach). When we originally checked in we got told to only pay for the 1st night in case we didn’t like it and this made me worry as I’ve never had this before but we stayed for 3 nights in total. Overall if I had the same room again I would stay.

  Please don't waste your time and money visiting this resort. From the moment we checked in for our three night stay the experience was unpleasant. The lady on reception even said just pay for one night out of your three nights to start with after most people leave after one night!! The room was basic, grubby and in need of some major tlc. Very uncomfortable bed and broken up pathways leading to the room too. Nighttime was the worst time! Incredibly loud music - think trying to sleep on a dance floor - went on until almost 4am. Breakfast was ok though once we found the restaurant! Very poor signage meant we did a couple of laps of the place. To summarise, I've stayed in better backpacker dorms that are cleaner, quieter and presented better. Save your money by avoiding this place like the plague and stay at one of the many other amazing places on Phi Phi island.

  Great place to stay for short and long stays in Phi Phi Don

  We stayed in the more modest part of the hotel (in a small room without a balcony), but nevertheless we had the opportunity to use all the benefits of the hotel and its territory: a wonderful infinity view pool with a bar, a chic secret pool, and we went to have breakfast in the common breakfast area with a million dollar view. Situated between the beach and a noisy street, the hotel is nevertheless quiet, cozy, green, with the opportunity to relax on its territory. Breakfasts are wonderful and varied, the staff is friendly, Internet is good. Shops, pharmacies, cafes, tattoo parlors and beach discos are all within walking distance.We would gladly return to this hotel again.

  This hotel is extremely grotty. We had to change rooms after night 1 (had to pay) as we could not stay in it. Walls were filthy, marks on the bedding, the shower head was black and there was no soap or hand towels. The beds were dreadful and shook/squeaked as soon as you sat on them.Moved room to a slightly better one (superior room), still not great but a bit better from the original. The aircon stopped working and was only blowing hot air, we got someone up to fix it but the same thing happened in the night making it incredibly hard to sleep. The shower head holder was broken to the only way it would stay up was if the water sprayed onto the wall. It can be loud at night so recommend you being earplugs. The main pool is nice but hard to get a spot at. The second pool is more grotty and the loungers look like they’ve never been cleaned. Breakfast is good with a nice view of the sea and the hotel is in a good location on PhiPhi.Would definitely not return!

  We stayed 2 nights in the PP Charlie Resort, not quite sure how! Think there are lots of different types of rooms/blocks in the hotel, we were put in D block. This block was extremely dated and run down. Our room was disgusting, bathroom was dirty, mould was everywhere, hairs all over the shower. Mattress had huge orange and red stains on it as did the walls. Pool is wonderful however, and the location is great. However, because of this the music and noise from being in such a good location is extremely loud. All we could hear was lads shouting and screaming till early hours of the morning. They were even still awake when we would be waking up which was entertaining to watch. Would not recommend if you are put in this block at all! But think there are much nicer rooms and blocks. Rooms are not advertised correctly on booking.com at all. Pictures attached are screenshots from the only videos I took.
