  Relaxing stay at beach resort

  We had a great stay at Amora Beach Resort. It has great rooms with pool views and relaxing beach to get away from the busy city life. Receptionist Milk was very helpful in settling us down and suggesting sites and places to view and making bookings for us. Resort also has its own activities catered for kids and adults. Has a great swimming pool for kids and adults and kids room filled with activities for kids of all ages. All staff were very polite and friendly. A great variety of food for breakfast at ISLA restaurant. They even catered to our special request of vegetarian food daily. A great place to stay for families to relax and recharge.

  Unfortunately, our stay at Amora was completely overshadowed by the fact that we — along with several other guests we spoke to — became very sick. Our package included drinks, but after just one drink on the first night we fell extremely ill. We had severe headaches, stomach cramps, and I ended up sleeping for 36 hours.We informed the hotel at the time that we were sick, but when we mentioned that other guests had experienced the same symptoms, we were told that because their doctor hadn’t examined us, there was “no proof” it was caused by the hotel. The illness itself was bad enough, but the hotel’s response made the situation even more disappointing.The combination of the poisoning and the lack of accountability from Amora completely ruined our stay. I would strongly recommend choosing alternative accommodation. During the period of your stay, we hosted many guests from different countries, with various booking arrangements and packages. Only one group of guests from the same country and nationality who book with the same package, including you and your wife reported feeling unwell. No guests from other nationalities, or guests who booked different packages during the same dates, reported similar symptoms. Because there can be many possible causes of illness, it is not possible for any hotel to confirm that symptoms are related to food or drink without a medical diagnosis. In line with international 5 star hotel food safety standards, only a doctor can determine the cause of an illness. Unfortunately, none of the guests who reported being sick requested a doctor’s visit or provided a medical certificate. Our team is always ready to assist with arranging medical care, and we strongly encourage guests to seek a doctor’s evaluation whenever they feel seriously unwell. Even without medical confirmation, we treated your report with the utmost seriousness. We immediately rechecked all hygiene and food safety procedures and maintained close communication with the travel agent regarding the situation. As a gesture of goodwill, we also offered internal compensation, despite the absence of any evidence linking the illness to the hotel. Other affected guests accepted this gesture; we respect that it did not meet your expectations. We sincerely regret that you were unwell during your holiday and that this impacted your impression of our resort.   Very disappointing stay

  Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this hotel, even though the staff overall was very friendly.The room has definitely seen better days; the flooring was peeling off in many places, and the cleanliness was not up to standard. As for the breakfast buffet, it was mediocre at best. The only highlight was the freshly prepared omelet, but the overall selection was very limited.What bothered me the most was the housekeeping schedule, which apparently only takes place between 3 PM and 6 PM. Since it was the rainy season and the weather wasn't great outside, I wanted to head back to my room. Because the cleaning staff was already working on my floor, I decided to wait in the restaurant, but I was told I had to purchase something to sit there. Consequently, I sat in the lobby to get some work done. An hour and a half later, my room was still not cleaned. When I inquired at 4 PM, they apologized for the inconvenience and promised it would be done soon. When someone finally showed up at 5 PM, I had to wait in the lobby yet again. This might sound petty, but I don't feel like I should have to stress about room cleaning while on vacation. To make matters worse, I was later blamed for not explicitly requesting an earlier cleaning slot.Additionally, the gym has a lot of room for improvement. It only features a few cardio machines, free weights up to 25 kg, and a single back-training machine.
