  We didn’t choose stay here TUI used it as a holding hotel for repatriation guests. A Job lot of grey paint ! Every where grey ! Rooms clean enough air con fittings need a good clean in bedrooms. Not enough sun-beds ones that are there are grubby. No umbrellas for shade Stunning view across from pool to sea Place looked tired Nice long pool Beach (not their fault) needs a good clean Food offered was Buffet breakfast Same old.   We were stuck in Thailand due to the war in the middle east and like many others, couldn't fly home. Tui used this hotel for the stranded holiday makers. Obviously we were thankfull to have somewhere to stay but so, so thankfull we weren't paying guests at this hotel. I can't imagine how we'd feel like, if we had booked and paid to stay here for a holiday. A budget IBIS hotel come to mind, mostly painted in black. Rooms in one half of the hotel were awful, no balconly and a large window that didn't open and smelt of damp. It was like being in a goldfish bowl. Luckily we were able to upgrade to the other half of the hotel and got a room with a balcony, which made our stay more bearable.The restaurant was like a school canteen and the food at the buffet wasn't at all edible, they should have been ashamed to serve it. Loungers were more or less non exsistence - some people were placing their towels directly onto the wooden decking, towels in the bathroom were dirty, beach flithy and the sea was a dirty brown colour and didn't look safe to swim in. I could go on and on but I'm sure you've got the picture!Cannot blame Tui at all, they had to find 100's of places for people to stay at very short notice. The reps were excellent and worked very hard.   This hotel is suited to younger guests who enjoy live DJ music playing at the pool from early on in the morning. There are insufficient sun loungers for the no of guests. One of the pools is dirty and had broken steps which were a danger. We did not have a massage in the hotel as this service is facilitated beside the lower pool with guests wandering through the area as an access route. However, the sea view room we had booked was very comfortable with a lovely balcony, good shower, efficient A/C and comfortable bed. We did not eat at the hotel so can’ t comment on the food other than to say it was expensive. We ate at the Green Bar, a restaurant opposite the hotel which was excellent. We also ate at one of the beach restaurants close by which was fabulous.The beach is quite dirty and sea not good for swimming.Staff were excellent, as was the travel kiosk in the hotel.   This hotel is not worthy of four stars!!!

  The Tide Hotel is located in a very remote and isolated area, far from any services. The nearest convenience store is over a kilometer away and finding a taxi in that area was imposible.The hotel’s beach is practically non-existent and poorly maintained (full of plastic garbages. The water was murky and the sea view was disappointing spoiled by old, abandoned boat wrecks. Despite temperatures exceeding 30°C, no one was swimming in the area.The hotel photos did not reflect reality and the customer service was rude and unwelcoming. Our overall experience with both the hotel and its surroundings was extremely disappointing.Since there were no other dining options nearby, we ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was mediocre, overpriced and unfortunately caused food poisoning.We were so dissatisfied with every aspect of our stay that we decided to change accommodations before our reservation had even ended.Overall, this hotel does not offer good value for money. I cannot recommend it to travelers who want to enjoy their holiday, see the beautiful side of Phuket and experience the island’s true atmosphere.
