Location

Phuket, also know as ‘the pearl of the Andaman Sea’, is one of the most famous holiday spots in the world. The hotel lies by the white sand of Karon beach, surrounded by gardens and close to Patong beach, as well as the nearby leisure centres.

Facility

87 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Sun loungers and parasols the sun terrace complete the holiday. Leisure options at the resort include a gym, a spa and a sauna. For a fee, guests can also enjoy golf, billiards and massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board.     Fantastic Hotel close to the beach

    This hotel has everything we looking for when choosing our accommodation. The hotel has a great location close to the beach and the Karon centre that offers lots of shopping, restaurants and bars. The hotel has very spacious rooms, nice pool area and a fantastic staff that always greets you with a smile and are ready to assist whenever needed. For us this is the first choice of hotel wherever we visit Phuket.

    Hotel’s Server Hacked — Zero Transparency, Zero Responsibility

    The scam I experienced was only possible because the hotel’s official email info@karonseasand.com was hacked. The messages I received came directly from their real address — not a fake one — which means the breach happened on the hotel’s server, not on mine.Despite this, the hotel never filed a police report about their server being hacked, even though this is a serious security incident involving guest communication. Instead, they focused only on the payment itself and shifted responsibility onto me, rather than acknowledging that their own system had been compromised.My email was also blocked on their server for days after the incident, which strongly suggests the breach was ongoing. The hotel has provided no technical explanation, no investigation results, and no confirmation that their system is now secure.A hotel that cannot protect its official communication channels — and refuses to take responsibility when they are hacked — puts every guest at risk. Until they properly secure their systems and acknowledge the breach, I cannot recommend staying here. Jaspal Singh, General Manager at Karon Sea Sands Resort, responded to this review Dear guests,Pls note you have been scammed to transfer a deposit to a fake account. It was not our business account, nor it was the resort account. That should already have set warning bells ringing.We made a police report here in Phuket, but the police insisted that you must file the report yourselves.When you arrived, we took you to the police to file a scam report. The police needed all details in Thai.We then translated all the email discussions into Thai on our own expenses and made an appointment with you to go and file a police report.Since you were not staying in our resort at that time, you were not available to make the appointment.We still have all the details, but according to the police you must file a report yourself. We have tried to file it for you but cannot.Pls note that our email address is till in use. We have suggested you to clean and delete the email address and re-type it in.We have not profited from your loss.     Recently did a 4 day stay Karon Sea Sands Resort in Phuket. We are a family of 4 from the US. The location of the resort is centrally located right across from Karon Beach with everything you could want within walking distance (7-11, good restaurants, souvenirs, etc.). It's about a 45-1 hr. drive from the Phuket airport. The resort is actually slightly off the main road and therefore more quiet than being directly on Karin Beach. Front desk people spoke English (ish). Water was provided in rooms. Rooms were clean with good daily maid service. Breakfast was included and was a big spread with a traditional breakfast items including a fresh omelette / pancake / waffle service. The resort included a full sized gym, which was great given the amount of very reasonably priced Thai food we consumed. The kids enjoyed the pool and pool bar, which was open all day. As a picky hotel guest, Karon Sea Sands was a good place to stay.
