    Bed was rock hard, shower was freezing cold, reception staff didn’t really seem like they wanted anything to do with you, terrible service, 1 bog roll at a time go buy your own if u need more

    This place is dirty, shabby and the staff are unhelpful. Shower temperature doesn’t regulate, one second it’s freezing, the next it’s burning your skin off! The pool is disgusting, unfortunately my children went in before I had chance to pop down, they came out with algae all over their swimwear. When I went to have a look you can clearly see a green ring around the edge of the pool with green bits floating in the water. We didn’t enter to pool again! The loungers were also dirty. The bed was rock hard, accessories were hanging off the ceiling, the hallways stink of weed. Upon checkout they go and inspect your room, leaving you waiting like a criminal in the lobby waiting to get your £2000 bhat per room deposit back. Avoid if you can.

    I have been returning to the New Square hotel in Patong every year for the past 10Years. Should tell you all what you need to know. The staff are absolutely awesome, Nam and the team can't do enough to help you. Nothing is to much trouble. The maids are top class and keep everything tip top for you with a smile every day. And even the security staff at the entrance are so friendly. They make me feel so welcome every year. Feels more than just a hotel to them all, they very proud of the hotel. I love this. The hotel is in the best spot to miss the road noise in Patong. Set back a fair way from the roads... black out curtains are ace. Rooms spacious. It's a pool and gym, loads of off road parking... which rare in Patong. 2mins from the shopping mall. 20mins walk to beach.

    New Square Patong Hotel does not live up to its 4-star rating. The level of service and professionalism falls well below what is expected from a hotel in this category. Communication with the staff was consistently difficult due to language barriers, suggesting a need for improvement and training of staff to behave with customers and meet their needs, and the absence of basic services such as a bell boy or luggage assistance further highlights the gap between the hotel’s rating and the actual guest experience. Being a 4-star hotel and not being equipped with essentials, and the absence of 24/7 service and assistance.

    Trust me you don’t want to chose this hotel for upcoming stay in Patong! You will be utterly disappointed. Travelling 60+ countries this hotel takes award for being the worst!!!We booked 2 rooms and paid for 4 adults. However they charge you extra fee of 1000 to 500 Baht if you get an extra guest. Even though the total number of adults is only 2 per room.Before booking we had checked and they posted on Tripadvisor no joiner fee, if adults per room are not more than 2. They will lie on your face and deny the policy.They exhorted 500 Baht from my friend in middle of the night, fighting with him. We felt helpless and disgusted with their behaviour. While checking out 2000 deposit they took, they refunded only 1000. This was the same case with most of the customers. Every checkout we saw people were fighting. There are better hotels in vicinity, pay a little more and have peace of mind. You don’t want to ruin your holiday coming here.Other issues are as below:1. Rooms don’t have concrete walls. So if you talk in one room, you can clearly hear in next.2. When you come at 3pm to checkin (standard checkin time 2pm) they will tell room not available and give by 8pm. Checkout they will cut off your power at sharp 12noon.3. It is very far from important areas of Patong. Walking will leave your feet sore and 100-200 Baht you save staying here, will go in taking foot massages everyday 😊
