  Amazing stay and really friendly and helpful staff!

  We stayed at Sunwing Kamala Beach for 7 nights in May as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children, ages 2 and 4) and had a wonderful experience.We arranged the airport transfer through the hotel, and everything went smoothly from arrival to check-in. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a small kitchenette, and complimentary bottled water was provided daily.The hotel is fantastic for families. The eight swimming pools offer something for everyone, from waterslides and activities to quieter areas for relaxation. Our children also loved the kids' club and activities, and the staff were incredibly kind and patient.Although we only booked breakfast, we often had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and children can eat free from the kids' menu when adults order a meal.Kamala Beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and a 7-Eleven within walking distance. The only thing to note is that many of Phuket's main attractions are a bit farther away, so excursions usually involve some travel time.A special thank you to Ms. Renelyn and the guest service team. I accidentally left my jacket, with my house keys inside, at the hotel and only realized it after leaving Thailand. The hotel quickly located my belongings and arranged to send them to my next destination. Ms. Renelyn kept me updated throughout the process and was incredibly helpful. Thanks to her assistance, I got my keys back quickly.We would highly recommend Sunwing Kamala Beach, especially for families with young children, and would happily stay here again.

  It is an amazing stay on Kamala Beach close to the beach and the swimming pools are beautiful every thing is fantastic the kids really enjoyed the stay and we will come back again for more fun time I would like to give a special thanks to staff (BANK,MONT,NOTT and JELA) if there is more stars I’ll give it to the stay .   Fantastic family holiday with outstanding guest serviceOur stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach Resort was excellent from start to finish, and it turned out to be one of our most enjoyable family holidays.The resort’s beachfront location at Kamala is ideal—peaceful, scenic, and family‑oriented, yet close enough to attractions and amenities. The resort itself is spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed for families with children.We stayed in a main poolside room, which was extremely convenient and well maintained. A highlight on arrival was the room welcome package, which included all minibar items along with a fruit basket, a very generous and welcoming gesture that immediately set the tone for our stay. Housekeeping was consistently excellent throughout.The facilities, especially the pools and kids’ areas, are very well planned, and despite being popular with families, the resort never felt noisy or overcrowded.Dining was a pleasant experience overall, and the birthday breakfast arrangement was a standout moment. The birthday pancake and cheerful birthday song were thoughtful touches that made the morning truly special.Another major highlight was the birthday celebration arranged at the inhouse Som’s Restaurant. The décor, including pastel balloons and a number “2” balloon, along with the cake, fruit platter, and birthday card, was beautifully coordinated. The ambience was calm, warm, and perfect for a family celebration with a young child.I would like to especially acknowledge Ms. Renelyn, Guest Service Manager, whose exceptional support made our stay seamless. From pre‑arrival coordination to on‑ground arrangements, she was professional, responsive, and genuinely caring.   Travelling with my parents and two young children (8 months and 4 years), we felt incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The service was consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — which makes all the difference when travelling with little ones.A very special thank you to Renelyn from the international guest relations team, who was absolutely amazing — kind, helpful, and always going above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable.We’d also love to mention the team at Som’s Kitchen staff who greeted us every morning with such lovely energy.   I liked this hotel, the pools were very warm though not refreshing at all but it was 38 degrees so not much you can do about that. We had a swim up room which was a game changer here and again not much more in price. Large terrace with 2 sun loungers. I found the prices at the bar and restaurant expensive so we ate and drank out, if they lowered their prices a bit, they would make more money. Our previous stay at the X10 in Khao Lak was really reasonable to eat and drink in the hotel.i only rated it 4 star due to the kids club for a 10 year old, all the programme said was chill room but she didn't want to chill, she wanted to do something. in previous Thai hotels, there was nail art, gel candles, pottery. Nothing like that here that we could see, i never saw a kids rep anywhere. Don't get me wrong we don't use the kids club much but would have been good to see some fun activities promoted for 10 year old age group. Kamala is a great town, lots of choice of restaurants, night markets etc. everything tended to die down around 11pm so a really good option for a family place.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again based purely on location and swim up rooms.
