Disappointing experience and zero accountability for a pre-booked package

    rating26 May 2026

My wife booked the "Take it Easy" package as a special gift for me, which required us to travel 60km from mainland Phuket. Unfortunately, the execution of this service was highly unprofessional.Because I was not familiar with the full itinerary, the staff took advantage of this and completely skipped the welcome drink, the hot spring bath, and the cold water plunge. They were fully aware of what was included in the booking but chose to skip straight to the massage. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, their handling of the situation was unacceptable. They tried to rush me into the hot spring and cold plunge after my full-body massage, which completely defeats the purpose of a proper wellness sequence. They then blamed us for being "late," despite the fact that we had explicitly communicated our arrival time of 3:00 PM due to our travel distance.Their final "solution" was to tell us to return the next day—showing a total lack of empathy for the 60km journey we had just made. To make matters worse, the front desk promised a manager would call us within 24 hours. It has now passed that window, and we have heard nothing. This establishment lacks basic customer service protocols, communication, and an understanding of wellness. Truly a wasted journey.

A beautiful place, but nothing more.

    rating05 Apr 2026

Pros of the HotelThe beach is excellent and clean, the grounds are beautiful, and there are natural hot springs on the territory.Cons of the Hotel- Wrong room and poor hygiene: We booked a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor but were put on the ground floor. The room was dirty, with a stained sofa and curtains, and the balcony was uncleaned and covered in leaves and branches.- Poor room conditions: After we complained, they moved us to another building. The view was better, but the new room was just as old and dirty, infested with ants, and had a broken balcony latch. It was thoroughly unpleasant to be there.- Dining issues: It was impossible to eat at the hotel restaurant because every evening the staff told us the food would take over an hour to prepare. With no dining alternatives nearby except one empty convenience store, we (and other guests) had to survive on instant noodles from a vending machine.- Overcrowded hot springs: In the evenings, the hotel brings in large groups of tourists on buses. The hot springs become completely overcrowded, making it very uncomfortable for actual hotel guests who have no space to relax.- Security and service failures: In the middle of the night, strangers walked right into our room. It turned out the reception had mistakenly given them a key to our door. The staff treated this as completely normal and did not even apologize.- Faulty key cards: Our magnetic room keys stopped working every single day, forcing us to get them replaced constantly.SummaryI strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The nice grounds absolutely do not outweigh the terrible service, dirty rooms, noisy tourist crowds, and complete incompetence of the staff. The hotel needs to do a lot of work to improve its guest experience.

Perfect For A Quiet Get Away

    rating17 Mar 2026

Hot Springs is cut off from the main hustle & bustle of Phuket but is perfect for a quiet getaway with its own private beach, large pools and villas with their own private swim baths. The staff are helpful & professional, restaurant serves decent food & has a good bar with live music in the evenings. About half an hour from the Phuket International Airport. This resort is best if you’d like some peace. Magical Reset

    rating27 Feb 2026

I had a beautiful stay and truly enjoyed everything. In the morning, we woke up to the sound of birds. It felt calm and peaceful. I loved taking a quiet walk with my dogs before breakfast. The breakfast has many options and everything is fresh and tasty. After that, you can relax in the hot springs pool, cool down in the cold plunge, or swim in the saltwater pool. It makes you feel refreshed and relaxed. The beach is also wonderful. There are comfortable lounges and shaded areas, and it is not crowded. You can spend a quiet, peaceful day by the sea and really switch off.The resort is pet friendly, which was perfect for me. My dogs loved the space and the nature around. The rooms are big, very clean, and have everything you need. The food is great for both lunch and dinner, and the massages are very good quality. The prices are not high and align with other 4 star hotels. It’s a perfect place if you want peace and time to rest, relax, and reset your body and mind.I can't wait to go back next month. Thank you to all for making our short break unforgettable. Narongchai U-Thanang, General Manager at The Hotspring Beach Resort & Spa, responded to this review Sawasdee Krab Khun Cristnn2020,Thank you so much for your beautiful review and for choosing us for your 'Magical Reset.' We are beyond moved to hear that you had such a restorative stay.It is wonderful to know that you enjoyed the peaceful mornings with the birds and the walks with your dogs. We take great pride in being a pet-friendly resort, and nothing makes us happier than knowing our four-legged guests enjoyed the nature and space as much as you did! We are also glad that our hot springs, saltwater pool, and beach provided the perfect atmosphere for you to switch off and relax. Our team is also delighted by your kind words regarding the breakfast, the cleanliness of our rooms, and the quality of our massages. The fact that you are already planning to return next month is the greatest compliment we could receive. We look forward to welcoming you (and your dogs!) back for another unforgettable break very soon.Respectfully yours,Narongchai U-THANANGGeneral Manager

Probably OK for a night or two but definitely not more

    rating13 Jan 2026

Second time staying here in two years, so this review is specifically related to the second stay in December 2025.When in this part of Thailand, we usually have a few places that we are regulars at, and this was another place we were considering making a regular stay and hence a decision to stay again this year in order to truly assess if this will make the cut.....and after spending an extended period here, sadly this is one of those places I wouldn't really recommend for many reasons and here is why:Beach & Location : Although the pictures will make you believe it is a beach front property (true on a technicality) the beach itself is connected via a long decaying foot bridge (which was being re-painted [not repaired] ) as of December 2025, and like most of the property a lot of the changes seem very cosmetic in nature, and the facade will quickly reveal itself once you have spent more than a couple of nights here. Once on the beach, there are a 3 functioning umbrellas and sun beds) on a very barren beach (a massive reduction from the 10 we counted last year)..and there is absolutely nothing on the beach while there, no shops or anything...so beware and take some water with you. Housekeeping and Maintenance : - After spending more than 10 days here, I have come to the conclusion when it comes to housekeeping and maintenance - Either they are incompetent, or they are deliberately trying to sabotage the management (or both) - we have had to call housekeeping and ,maintenance EVERY SINGLE DAY of our stay. Most of the issues were not severe issues, but issues non the less and many of these issues (e.g hotspring not working in the villas) were repeated issues, and we stopped complaining about many things since neither management nor the staff deemed it fit to actually do something major about it.(They offered to move us, but then couldnt guarantee the new villa wont have similar or worse problems)General State of Facilities : 1. Very poor state of things all over the place, there were cob webs, dust and dirt around the restaurant area for breakfast (which seemed to lack any sort of management and constantly crowded). 2. The gym (if you will call it that) was tiny, smelly and all facilities and machines in poor state and present a danger to most normal users. 3. The Hotspring villa which was supposed to be their highest grade property was really not worth the money paid for it, since the hotspring rarely worked defeating the entire purpose of calling it a Hotspring villa) 4. Day visitors are constantly overcrowding the general Hotspring area, which means even if you are a paying guest (both overnight stayer or not), you are not really relaxingOverall it was a very disappointing stay and would have checked out earlier were it not for a minor back injury that made moving to a proper place that tad bit more dangerous, so took it easy....and couldn't wait to get out and move to one of our regular places after this failed experimentIf despite this review you are still considering this place, I would advise:1. Booking the cheapest room available and don't pay for any premium rooms, as I promise you the standard will be the same (and many people got free upgrades to Villas when they complained about the poor standards - we were the suckers for paying full price)2. Don't stay for more than 2 nights as you are likely to get a very false impression of the place, it is all smoke and mirrors and it will wear out after the 2nd night3. If you are not mobile, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for basic "Thai Food", just think London prices in a supposedly cheap country.4.If you are offered a free upgrade to one of the villas, of course take it...they are nice for a couple of days, but don't expect things to work but definitely worth it if it's freeOn the positive side, the Manager (Narongchai - called "Nhoom") seem like a genuinely nice guy who is probably just doing his best. Also, some staff are very friendly and helpful - There's Jip and Cream at Reception, Boy at Breakfast who always remembers how you like your eggs, as well as Shogun one of the attendants who never fails to smile and say hello. Narongchai U-Thanang, ผู้จัดการทั่วไป at The Hotspring Beach Resort & Spa, responded to this review Sawasdee Krab Khun Mouktar,Thank you for your feedback following your second stay with us. We are saddened to learn that we have likely lost you as a regular guest due to the issues experienced this December. We apologize unreservedly for the state of the Grand Hotspring Pool Villa. The recurring maintenance issues and the failure of the hot spring itself are unacceptable, as is the lack of a definitive solution offered by our team at the time. We are also taking immediate steps to address the cleanliness of the outlet and the safety of the gym equipment mentioned.Regarding the beach and bridge, we acknowledge that cosmetic touches are not enough, and we are reviewing our capital expenditure plans to ensure structural repairs are prioritized over painting. On a positive note, we are grateful for your mentions of Jip, Cream, Boy, Shogun, and me. We are glad their service remained high-quality even when our facilities let you down.We wish to have a chance in welcome you back again in the future.Best regards,Narongchai U-THANANGGeneral Manager
