  This was my third year in a row staying in this hotel. Previously I'd considered it to be very good value. That may still be true, but this year I left disappointed. Its best asset is its proximity to the Loch Palm golf course with discounted costs for the golf. But this year there were too many downsides. For example, I had no hot water in my room for the duration of the trip, despite 3 attempts to fix it. After the last failure they offered a room change but by then it was too close to my departure to warrant it. Further, the room came with breakfast. Previously this was a la carte, but now a buffet is provided on several days. The so-called hot food was left in trays that were not heated. Consequently, all the food was cold, even the fried eggs, sausages etc. Yuck.   More signing are needed

  I like the location. We had very good time by the pool. The staffs are friendly. The view towards the pond was relaxing. What I don’t like there is that some guests used that area to smoke weed. There should be some signing that its prohibited as some people may have allergy towards to the smell. My honest comment would be about the set breakfast menu. We were offered 3 limited choices of breakfast set. In which, if you wish to have more slices of bread or one extra glass of orange juice it will be charged at the end of the breakfast. We understand it is the hotel’s policy. But it sad to see the staffs are often encountered with other guests daily at the breakfast hall. Often the case when the guests were angry, the hotel waived the charged and kind of force the staffs to say sorry for the misunderstanding. I just wish that there should be more sign for guests to read upon to prevent this incident. Because we can see it was not really fun for the staffs when it occurred. Besides that, I wish the hotel have more pillow choice and the bed mattress was a bit too old topper.   Only go here to play golf!

  Golf course good, easier than some in Phuket. Compulsory caddies, Joy and Kook were competent and fun. The welcome at the accommodation was good. The exterior of the whole resort needs more investment in maintenance, but the room was clean and recently decorated.The driving range has no protection from the very hot sun in Phuket. The reception for golf urgently needs training. They have no concept of customer service. There is no bar at the resort.The limited menu at the restaurant was OK. But it is more akin to a worker's canteen than a resort restaurant. It also closed with last orders at 18.30.The pool had limited opening hours and needed a good clean.The gym had good equipment but shut early and in the morning opened too late to take advantage of.So this has the appearance of an owner reducing costs and if they have been to golf resorts,even in Phuket, let alone in other countries, they will be aware that this is not a resort.
