Facility

The resort has a lift and features 46 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the complex include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. WiFi (no extra charge) comes as standard in the rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a hairdryer.     Best place in Thailand in our opinion. ❤️We have stayed at Thanya 9 times during the last 14 years. It is our go to place for relaxing. We have been to a lot of other places in Thailand. Koh Kradan, Koh Lipe, Koh Libong Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phangan. But nothing beats Thanya. The place is very quiet. So if you are looking to party, this is not the place. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the wonderful beach and coralreef for snorkeling, this is perfect. The restaurant is the best on the island, and the service is extremely friendly and fast. The hotel is family run, and that family (and the rest of the staff) are the kindest people ever. The resort has a very nice and clean swimmingpool. The massage at the place is outstanding. We love this place.     Lovely beach, resort adequate but needs some TLC

    The resort is at the end of the beach and has a large beach at low tide, the sea comes right up to the wall at high tide. They’ve done a great job with deck chairs and sun loungers under trees and there are hammocks, it is very relaxing. The resort probably was once really beautiful - you could describe it as rustic now. It needs some TLC. The showers by the pool are weak and the heads need a good clean, paths are broken up and the resort needs a general clean and attention to the finer details and finishes. For example, there was litter wedged in flower beds and behind the huts. There is a large pond in the middle with monitor lizards in which was really cool. The huts themselves were really basic - they boil during the day so the a/c takes a while to cool them down. Uncomfortable chairs on your patio and the wood in the hut is uneven and moves when you walk. The bathroom was huge but had barely anything in it - the drying rack for towels was tiny and there were no hooks on the walls. Curtains only just covered the windows so light trickles in and I am a light sleeper! The pool is hot, which was strange. The restaurant serves amazing food but they need to invest in some fans as it was boiling in there - you just want to eat and go. Staff were friendly and food from menu at lunch and dinner really lovely, breakfast a bit basic. You can hire kayaks but beware of the current (and wind can pick up). Had a massage there but wouldn’t recommend it - they didn’t seem as happy and friendly as elsewhere and the massage was not at all relaxing - I’ve had plenty and this was one of the worst.

    Too beautiful to Believe

    The location is amazing! Feels secluded but just a long tail boat ride away from area amenities. The snorkeling off the resort is fantastic and the views just can’t be beat. The staff was so responsive and seems genuinely happy to be there.     Friendly personel but warn down facilities

    We stayed 3 nights at Thanya Resort. Very sweet and helpful personel both at the reception and restaurant. But their terms for doing a great job was a bit overruled by the very tired facilities around them. Furthermore a huge junkyard was to be found if you move just a bit up the pass through the jungle. Hotel deserves 2 stars - not the 4 they have. A bit disappointed. Fotos do a lot.

    Spacious bungalows even with 3 people as our daughter stayed with us. Quite dated, efficient air con and basic shower. Quiet, with nature around and even many monitor lizards in their mini lake. Breakfast ok, nice egg station where you can order your favourite.Nice bar on the beach side and really good massage in the hotel.Too few sun chairs but the advantage of being on the beach.A nice stay, very helpful staff at the reception who organised transfer and helped us find our way around.
