  Nice clean hotel conveniently located in the heart of Songkhla City

  I stayed at their most basic Standard Single and it was still a pretty nice room with a comfortable queen size bed in a nice contemporary design room. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly although the outside of the hotel does look slightly dated.The location is good for Songkhla - probably a 5 minute drive from all the main attractions - Samila Beach, Tangkuan Hill or Old Town Songkhla.Breakfast is ok - not too many choices but does have good mix of Asian and Western Items. Food is tasty and after breakfast, the restaurant becomes an ala-carte outlet. Food is ok but slightly pricier than outside but you pay for convenience.Parking is at the back of the hotel and is secured so dont have to worry about curb side parking.

  Good location but noisy

  The hotel is well located (if you have a GPS) with secure off street parking. The room was acceptable for the price but the wifi was frustratingly weak. Also there was a lot of traffic noise during the night, not sure we would stay there again.

  This hotel is clean and well maintained. The room are comfortable and equipped with good furniture. Hotel’s people are very friendly and always respond with a big smile. The restaurant a la carte propose a good menu for Asian and Western people. Good food well served. Good hotel on a trip around.

  No frill hotel in a quaint seaside town

  The hotel is located in Songkhla, a small Thai seaside town which don't have many other large hotels. We chose this hotel because it is not too far away from relatives' house which we were visiting for the festive period.The hotel room itself is quite basic with twin beds, shower in the bathroom and other standard amenities. The room is quite clean and fit our need for a bed for the nights we were in town.The breakfast spread was nothing elaborate with the standard fare and a couple of local dishes thrown in. The location of the hotel is not too far from the port, specifically the fishing port. So in the morning you may get the scent of a fish market nearby when you are outside the hotel. However, the scent or odour will not get into the hotel so don't be too worried about this. Due to its location and based on my observation, a number of offshore oil & gas service provider uses this hotel to house their staff before they head off to the oil & gas field of the coast.

  Firstly, the illustration may depict a Viva hotel, but not the Viva Hotel in Songkhla. Secondly the staff are very helpful and friendly and make one welcome. The rooms seem a tad dated and are seriously short of electrical outlets. Nevertheless this is a reliable choice, but the breakfast is not worth the effort. The rooms are clean, the plumbing works ... there is nothing wrong with this hotel and the staff are superb in their intentions to be helpful.
