Very good hotel. Location is great, beach very close. Rooms are good. Atmosphere in hotel is very friendly. Food in this hotel are very good and tasty. The cook Mohamed deserves special mention for their excellent dishes. This man was very friendly always cheerful. His dishes were always tasty (pizza, kebab etc)! Warm regards for Mohamed from Polish family !!! Yaatik el-saha.

Warm sea, warm staff, but room for improvement. A Solo Traveller's Honest View from Day 9

    rating22 May 2026

Overall impressionI am currently on day 9 of a two-week stay and wanted to share my experience while it is still fresh, as I believe honest reviews are a genuine service to fellow travellers. What works well ✅The hotel is notably welcoming to solo female travellers, with no excessive single supplements — something genuinely rare and much appreciated. The food is varied and generally good, and the waiting staff are well-presented, polite and friendly.Suggestions for improvement Food & breakfast:Clearer labelling for vegetarian and vegan options would be very helpful. Some breakfast vegetables appeared to contain processed meat, which was disappointing. Adding nuts, seeds and extra fruit alongside yoghurt would elevate breakfast considerably.Mosquitoes:This has been my most significant issue. For nine consecutive nights I have barely slept three to four hours due to mosquitoes. Installing sheer net curtains or screens on windows and balcony doors would make an enormous difference to guest comfort.Hotel layout:Curiously, the tennis courts and aqua park (which was closed during my stay) enjoy sea views — yet none of the guest rooms do. This seems like a missed opportunity in the design.Beach safety:The sea here is wonderfully warm, which I adore. However, water sports activities — jet skis and paragliding boats in particular — operate dangerously close to swimmers. On several occasions I nearly came to harm. Better zoning between water sports and swimming areas is urgently needed.Towels:Many are visibly worn and could do with replacing.Tax charges at check-in — important note for management:On arrival I was quoted approximately £78 in tourist tax. Having visited Tunisia and Djerba several times, I know the city tax is capped at 120 Tunisian dinars per person for a maximum of 10 nights — equivalent to just over £30. After querying this, I was charged £35, which still appears slightly over the correct figure. Other guests I spoke to reported similar overcharging. I would strongly encourage management to audit this practice, as it casts an unnecessary shadow over what is otherwise a warm and pleasant hotel.Final thoughtsThis review is written in the spirit of constructive feedback, in the hope that management will act on these points. The staff are genuinely lovely, the sea is magnificent, and with a few improvements this could be an outstanding property.

Could be better, ok for the price

    rating22 May 2026

I travelled alone for a week and had an amazing time overall, mainly because of the people I met during my stay.Check-in was quick and easy, although I did overhear one guest complaining about being overcharged for tourist tax. As the week went on, I heard several similar complaints involving the same receptionist. The room was acceptable but I would personally rate it closer to a 3-star standard. It looked quite tired and in need of modernisation. Thankfully I had no issues with the safe or shower, but many other guests did and struggled to get problems resolved. Apparently there is only one maintenance worker covering both hotels. The hotel is clearly investing in renovations and new rooms, so I do think more focus should be placed on maintaining the rooms currently in use.The food was tasty with plenty of choice for adults, although it often wasn’t hot enough and very little was labelled. Anyone with allergies may struggle because of this. There was also limited choice for children. There were several pools. The main pool was busy and lively, and the animation team were excellent — probably the best staff in the hotel. I also visited the sister hotel for evening entertainment, but most shows were in French, so unless it involved dancing or music it was difficult to follow. The beach itself was lovely, although there were constant camel and horse rides passing through, which sometimes caused smells and mess. I also noticed quite a bit of litter on the beach, although I’m unsure whether that responsibility falls directly to the hotel. There is a beach bar, but alcoholic drinks are chargeable and only soft drinks and water are included. There isn't an emphasis on diet drinks and the cocktails were very sweet and made with syrup. They did do fresh juice and smoothies in the morning though. My main disappointment was that several staff members appeared noticeably less welcoming towards English guests. The majority of guests were French, which is absolutely fine, but on more than one occasion I felt ignored or treated differently compared to other nationalities. For example, I was left without cutlery while another guest was served immediately beside me, and at times I ended up serving my own drinks. Not all staff were like this — some were lovely, especially the maids who worked incredibly hard and were always kind and helpful and were tipped accordingly. For the price I paid (£450 for 7 days), the hotel was adequate value for money, but unfortunately I wouldn’t personally return because of some of the attitudes I experienced.I think the hotel could improve significantly with:clearer information provided on arrival, entertainment schedules available in English, better food temperature and replenishment, improved room maintenance, and more consistent customer service for all guests regardless of nationalityconsider making one pool adults only With a few changes, this hotel could be a really great place to stay.
