  Friendly welcome from hotel staff upon arrival with help with forms required fill out. Hotel looked and kept to a high cleanliness standard at all times throughout our stay. If you have young children under 2 years old and are uncomfortable with staff asking for high 5's or taking a friendly approach to children then best stay away. Room was OK, kept cool with air con. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Shower/ bath utilities were poor and floor flooded as a result. Our bathroom appeared to be cleaned with bleach which ruined a top and body sponge before we used the shower or bath,especially with a toddler. Dining hall was simple food repeated for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No juice or hot drink available after breakfast unless you go to the bar area first. Plenty of fizzy juice, wine or water. Fresh food like pizza, pasta or grill station became crowded very fast and not enough staff or equipment to help the demand. The dessert section was limited and the English naming meals was limited or non existent. The indoor restaurant you have to book but is a set menu with no menu available till your seated. The outside resteraunt, view was beautiful, service was rushed, no drinks offered and side orders missing from the order.Activities were plentiful from kids club, pool options, slides, or pool side activities to keep adults and children entertained throughout the day into the evening. Again, the staff were amazing with our group with 2 young boys and an elderly lady. Language didn't appear to be a problem for those within the entertainment sections. Music was a little loud from the activities pool for people just wanting quiet time or babies trying to sleep.

  French hotel not catering for the english

  Just a quick review on thr hotel...reception staff and check in fabulous very friendly and caring, professional too .. bar staff and waiters excellent couldn't do enough for you , animation team excellent but hotel needs professional entertainment too not just animation games .. food in restaurant was just ok not tasty, meat stuff and no good choices for the English unfortunately caters for the French.. the lunch time restaurant was excellent highly recommend it ..waiters and food, location was excellent.. al la carte restaurant was terrible, no choice of courses just had to eat what was put in front of you very disappointed as it was our wedding anniversary but table was decorated beautifully thsnk you...menu all in French not good for English customers...overall we wouldn't come back as we've experienced better food elsewhere ...glad to be back home Safouaine Bouafia, Marketing at Hotel Khayam Garden Beach Resort and Spa, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay.We are pleased to read that you appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of our reception team, as well as the service provided by our bar, restaurant, and animation teams.   great stay, recommend

  my boyfriend and i stayed at the hotel khayam garden beach resort and spa from the 28th may to the 4 june and we had an exceptional holiday. the location of the hotel is brilliant in terms of being directly on the beach front. the hotel has its own private beach area and whilst we were there, they were setting up umbrellas for the summer season. there were a variety of water spots on the private beach also - paddle boat, paddle boarding, kayaking, jet skiing. most of these come free with all inclusive but jet skiing costs a small fee. we also did quad biking while we stayed here, we booked this through the easyjet reps at the hotel and the activity was 10 minutes away from the hotel. you can only exchange cash for tunisian dinars at the hotel reception, they cannot do this with card. there is multiple ATMS less than 5 mins away by taxi who are happy to wait while you get cash out, typically 20 dinar to do this. all taxi drivers were friendly and gave recommendations. there are always taxis waiting outside of the hotel. the atmosphere of the hotel is made by the staff. from the animators to the waiters and bartenders, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. as you come into the hotel there is a pleasant scent which only highlights how clean the hotel as a whole is. the orchid bar is relaxed with live music on certain nights, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor seats with views of the pool and sea. the buffet restaurant also had plenty of seats at all times, and staff were quick to accommodate any needs. there’s more than enough loungers around the pool along with multiple areas to choose from. there are 2 main pools each split into a further 2 sections. there are pool loungers, private patio lounger areas, the beach area and decks that look out onto the sea. we had a standard double room with a garden view and it was very spacious. there was 2 beds, a spare bed, a large vanity area along with 2 mirrors, 2 bedside tables, a rack, a large wardrobe with 2 sections and spare bedding. the room was meticulous in terms of cleanliness. the bathroom was slightly dated but did the job. there was a bath with a shower head which had good pressure, along with a large sink and large mirror area. the bathroom is also very spacious. the balcony is a decent size and private. there is a rack to dry clothes along with table, chairs and an ashtray if you smoke. we personally got very good value for money here. we booked through easyjet and feel we got more than what we paid for. the price or the overall area was very affordable meaning you can leave a larger tip, which ensures an above and beyond service. we typically left 10-15 tunisian dinar for transport, for restaurant and bars we left around 20, and for the cleaners we left 40. after tipping the waiter on the first day, we experienced exceptional service, there was a table set up for us everyday and we were served promptly. noise level was never an issue for us. there was different entertainment each night but noise level was never even noticeable depending on your area of the hotel. there were 3 main restaurants when we went, the buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner, the a la carte restaurant for dinner on certain nights (must be booked, 1 free visit per stay) and the beachfront bbq grill restaurant (must be booked, 1 free visit per stay). there was a snack bar also that was open from 3-6 then 10-12 which served crepes and baguettes made in front of you. the orchid bar also serves food but this comes at a cost. overall we had a really good experience here and would recommend to couples and families. have a lovely holiday!!   Lovely hotel - an honest review!

  We arrived late on Saturday evening (we are still there, we fly back to Manchester tomorrow!). We arrived late and showed straight to the snack bar serving pancakes and panninis. The weather this week has been amazing, lovely and warm with clear blue skys.We came for a break and that’s what we got!The positives:The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them.The hotel is spotless A slight negative is that the rooms are dated, clean and tidy but could do with a facelift, we are in block 2 which is fine but the carpet in the corridors could do with replacing and the rooms upgrading. The pillows are hard and the bathroom although functional could do with updating.The biggest negative is the food. Definitely cooked around Tunisian guests (seems like a great place for weekends away!) and French guests (we were the only English here for 2 days! ). The food got a little better after the weekend but still not great. The soups were good but most of the other dishes were questionable to say the least. One day we had amazing scrambled eggs at breakfast, probably the best I’ve ever had, the next time we had them they were grainy and tasteless. There is a chef cooking omelettes and fried eggs, but not much to go with them unless you like sprouts for breakfast. I usually have yogurt and fruit for breakfast but the only fruit were dates and Tunisian fruits, no melon or even tinned fruit. Lovely to sit down for dinner and a bottle of wine and one of water on the table, unfortunately the offerings didn’t match up to the service!Had a lovely time but probably wouldn’t return to this hotel.
