The worst Hospitality experience I have Ever had

    rating18 Jun 2023

Dear Management ,I didn’t want to write This In Expedia or here that I won’t Damage my Country Image Online in terms of Hospitality. (But Since You ignored my email, I have to)I am a Food and Beverage Director of one the International Airports In Canada .We had a Stay this weekend from June 16Th to June 18Th , we Got 3 Rooms one of Them was 475 .Today Morning During Our Breakfast my Dad had an incident with Restaurant Supervisor (if that was his Position), My Dad and I were in the line to grab an omelette and the Guy approches My dad and he Grabbed Him From His Hand Attempting To Re-organize the Line .PS: (My Dad was The Main Reason I came to Tunisia since he Just got an Open Heart Surgery, and we wanted to have Some Fun Time Together)My dad Told Him that he can’t Grab him from his Hand and he Refused that he Touch Him That way, because I believe we are the Guest. The Gentlemen Continue his Aggressive Action by even Fighting my Dad ! Wich is Crasy , and the funny Part was When He also Grabbed my Hand Attempting To continue Reorganizing The Omelette Line . And when I Told Him Please don’t touch me , he Told me ‘Smella Alik’ . And that made me Leave the Hotel immediately.I travelled To a lot of Countries for Holidays but This was the Worst Experience that I Ever Had .I Didint want to mention about the Dast in the Ceiling in Our Three Roms , because I know the Economic Situation of the country Can’t help For a Renovation, but I saw a Hard working Housekeeping Ladies that they Needed More training just To offer a Room with Not dast( Wich is the minimum I believe ).In Fact ,This email is Based on a 15 Years experience in the Hospitality Industry abroad. But at least when we come for a Holiday we don’t want to be Physically Agressed like This Time, because we are coming for Fun so we deserve to be Treated with a minimum of Respect as a Guest.Cheeers,Aladin Aouini (English/ French) / Food Service Retail Director/| Directeur des Services alimentaires Tim Hortons 5565 - Starbucks LS 24839Email/ Courriel : aleddine.aouini@compass-canada.comMobile /Portable : 306-280-6616Image

A hotel that is not worth satying at

    rating10 Sept 2019

i stayed there one night and could not bare it. the staff appear to be going through the motions and have very little enthusiasm for their job, we arrived late due to a flight delay and the massive travelers at the customs at the airport. no food for us even we have small children, we have asked even for fruits, nothing and no compassion.we have requested a baby cot from the reception and we waited hours, and at the end we did not get it. when claiming the bad service , the staff at the reception stated that they don't have baby cots.....after confirming they will deliver it at our room!!!! our baby slept between mu husband and I.Terrible smell in the room, very old furniture and the bathroom was terrible to use.... Terrible breakfast, very unpleasant staff, the hotel doesn't worth more than 2 stars!!Even though the beach is beautiful in there, it's not worthy in this one. I recommend booking another hotel in the region, you won't regret it...

    Poor hygiene

    rating14 Aug 2019

Already at the check-in our stay started kinda poorly. Everything was very unorganized and two people at the reception had a flu and were touching everything and sneezing everywhere.. Maybe taking a sick leave isnt as easy but cmon... The line wasnt even that long and we waited 40 minutes. Then I wanted to go to swim to the pool which was so tiny and lacked hygiene so bad. There were dirt and a plastic bottle??? The room was a bit dirty and poorly equipped. This hotel has so much potential because the beach is unbeliavable beautiful and the garden area aswell. Then the restaurant was also a bit dirty and there was no one cleaning the tables. Such a shame really because hygiene should be a normal thing in a 4 star hotel. Staff was friendly all the time.

It's really really really no where as bad as the reviews, thank you Gram Said.

    rating29 Aug 2018

I came here with exceptionally low expectations, my husband had booked it as a one night getaway whilst staying with family, after booking ,with a very leaden heart I read the reviews. I had experienced the same thing the year previously, and had an absolutely diabolical experience and had given it the most terrible review, that I have ever given, I can't tell you which hotel that was due to the fairness of Trip advisor, but you can search it under my reviews, it's not that I wish to continue to persecute an establishment, but to show that I am not an easy to please traveller, but I am fair. This Hotel was so far above what I was expecting due to the reviews, I almost wanted to go outside and check the name of where I was staying, how could I have such a completely different experience. Well Iam to be fair going to address the negatives first, many of the staff appear to be going through the motions and have very little enthusiasm for their job, you could say unsurprisingly really,as the hotel in August was massively under occupied possibly one twelfth of there capacity and that would be generous. Everyone knows the problems that Tunisia has had attracting tourism, and although things have eased slightly if you are not a top five star hotel which will always keep it's clientele, or affiliated to a commercial airline who has returned to the country you are really struggling. Things do need updating but there customer base is very limited, and if your not receiving money it's hard to put anything back, but now this begs the absolute question if your struggling and totally aware of that, your staff should be all singing and dancing, they should be providing incredible and attentive service to stand out and make a stay special they are not, there lethargic and in the most disinterested, But then along comes a wonderful young man called Grami Said, a total an absolute professional who made a significant difference to our stay, just a dream of customer service nothing was to much trouble and he worked tirelessly to ensure our stay was happy and as comfortable as possible. Management please use him as an example to retrain others in the art of customer service. I would have given a three star rating if not for him and that makes a large difference. So given the criticism why still a possible three without Grami Said, well the hotel was very clean ( an absolute must for me) I actually check pillows under pillow cases, and mattresses under sheets and protectors. The food was very tasty and more than sufficient, the fish was really fresh, and there was more than enough choice to satisfy, the breakfast was the weakest element, it's more of a continental display, so make sure that you order the omelette made freshly to order, the drinks for an all inclusive are much less restrictive than you find at many hotels, the wine is of a decent standard and the bottles are opened in front of you, and the draught beer, my husband said was really tasty, all served in glasses. The location is fantastic right on to a white sandy beach directly off the very pretty hotel gardens, and totally private to the hotel. My last point is also very relevant, having just returned back from a night at the intercontinental hotel in London Bed and breakfast ,would have paid for a week all inclusive in this hotel so measure your expectations, don't pay these prices and expet five star luxury, but equally give them a try I think that you will be very pleasantly surprised. Note to Mnagement, please, please work on your staff's customer services Guest R, La direction at El Mouradi Beach, responded to this review Chère cliente, Un grand merci pour vos commentaires élogieux, concernant notre hôtel El Mouradi Beach, qui nous touchent sensiblement.
