  Spectacular location with excellent hospitality in Mahdia and great potential.Title: Excellent hospitality and a very pleasant stay directly on the sea at Houria House Sable d'Or, with small details to enhance.I stayed at the Hotel Houria House Sable d'Or, and the overall experience was definitely positive. The absolute strength of the facility is its spectacular location, directly on the beach of Mahdia and at the same time very convenient for reaching the city center in just a few minutes. The staff proved to be exquisite, always kind and available, embodying the extraordinary and warm Tunisian hospitality. The cleanliness and general services were also absolutely up to expectations.Considering that this is a facility with excellent potential, I would like to leave some purely constructive suggestions aimed at further enhancing the comfort of the guests:• Comfort on the beach: The beach in front of the hotel is wonderful, but the stations should be enhanced, perhaps with loungers or deck chairs, improving the organization of the umbrellas to offer greater comfort.• Comfort in the room: It would be very useful to include a small refrigerator or minibar in the room, essential for keeping drinks cool given the warm temperatures of Africa.• Furniture and lighting management: The wardrobe would be more comfortable if it were organized in a more functional way with shelves, and a more effective window blackout system would ensure better rest upon waking. • Bathroom renovation: A closed shower stall instead of a curtain would prevent the floor from getting wet. Additionally, modern lighting directed at the mirror would be a great help for shaving or makeup. Just small logistical adjustments that would transform an already great stay into a truly perfect and unforgettable experience.   Lovely hotel on beachfront with easy access and parking.Nice big room with pleasant furnishings.Owners very helpful -my partner required after hours dental care and she came with us and arranged it The dentist also didnt charge us.Nice breakfast

  My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and I must say, it was our favourite hotel during our 24 day visit in Tunisia. Rooms a spacious, clean and bright and look out over the beach and ocean. It is a pleasant 25 minute stroll along the corniche to the medina. We loved the staff, especially the couple who run the place. The smile never left their faces and they are extremely kind people. The manager kept surprising us with little “gifts”. Once it was some bread and olive oil to dip it in when we sat outside and had something to eat (our own food), another time he brough us a mint tea when we sat and looked over the beach, another time coffee. We felt super relaxed, totally at home. We regretted having to leave and I find myself thinking back of this place. Just go – you will love it!

  When we arrived late in the evening at Hotel Houria we were welcomed with a big smile, and this didn't change during our stay. Staff is very friendly. The hotel has this coasy charm which is difficult to find in coastal areas of Tunesia, where you only find big hotel complexes. The rooms are big, very clean and beds are good. You can sleep on the sound of the waves. I recommend highly, price is very good as well!

  Friendly, welcoming staff, good attitude, rooms comfortable for such price, excellent localisation- few steps from the beach, which was great. Simple breakfast but good. All was clean and decent.Asked for eggs which they didnt have so they went to the nearest shop though I didn't insist. This was nice.
