Very impressive hotel
17 Apr 2025
We only stayed here for one night using Sfax as an overnight stop, but we were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. There is complimentary underground parking, a bonus where parking in the area can be quite difficult. Good reception on arrival. Standard rooms are a reasonable size and very well organised. Super comfortable bed provides a good night’s sleep although there is some road noise from the busy street below. A higher floor or room situated away from the road is of benefit. We had dinner in the hotel where there was a choice or a la carte or buffet. Our a la carte choice of salad and vegetarian risotto both excellent and was accompanied with complementary appetisers. Drinks are reasonably priced, and service is efficient. Breakfast the following morning equally good and five star quality with great choice of food options including eggs cooked to order. Overall, it was an excellent stay for a hotel in the budget choice category. Amine GUIZANI, General Manager at Ibis Sfax, responded to this review Dear T-SGlobetrotters,Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at ibis Sfax. We are delighted to hear that your overnight stay met your expectations and that you found many aspects of our hotel impressive. It is wonderful to know that you appreciated our complimentary underground parking, especially given the challenges of parking in the area. We strive to make our guests' arrival as seamless as possible, and it is gratifying to hear that our reception team provided you with a warm welcome. We are pleased that you found our standard rooms to be well-organized and comfortable, allowing for a restful night's sleep. Your feedback regarding the road noise has been noted, and we agree that opting for a higher floor or a room positioned away from the street can enhance the experience for our guests. We are thrilled you enjoyed your dining experience with us, particularly the a la carte options, and that our service met your expectations. Our culinary team works diligently to provide high-quality meals, and it brings us joy to know that both your dinner and breakfast lived up to your standards.Thank you once again for your kind words and for recognizing our efforts to provide an excellent stay at an affordable price. We look forward to welcoming you back to ibis Sfax in the future for another enjoyable experience.Best regards,Amine GUIZANI - General Manager

Smallest bed ever
21 May 2024
The Ibis at Sfax is unlike any other Ibis I ever stayed at. It is a budget hotel, so the room is tiny, making it hard if you have a few pieces of luggage. The bathroom is even smaller and it has one of those horrible plastic-box-showers. The two single beds in our room were the narrowest, smallest beds I have ever slept in.But everything is clean, modern and practical. Especially the community areas are very pleasant, good spaces with friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor areas around the bar are lovely and inviting. An unexpected nice surprise was the breakfast : large buffet with a choice of fresh, good-quality food and a wonderful coffee machine.Overall, I would imagine this Ibis is the perfect business hotel ; if you carry little luggage and spend only time in the room to sleep. If not, try to upgrade to a larger room. Amine GUIZANI, General Manager at Ibis Sfax, responded to this review Dear Dirk W, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your kind words regarding the cleanliness, modernity, and practicality of our hotel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our community areas, friendly staff, and the inviting bar spaces. It's great to know that you found our breakfast buffet with fresh, good-quality food and a wonderful coffee machine to be a nice surprise. We take note of your comments regarding the size of the room, the bathroom, and the beds. Please be advised that as a budget hotel, our rooms are designed to offer essential amenities while maintaining a practical and modern environment. For guests requiring more space, we recommend considering an upgrade to a larger room for added comfort. We hope to welcome you back and provide you with an even better experience. Warm regards, Amine GUIZANI
