The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were friendly and professional such as Hedi and Yassin.The breakfast buffet also had a great selection to choose from.Overall I was satisfied and noticed that it was the same quality as other Ibis hotels internationally.

Very impressive hotel

We only stayed here for one night using Sfax as an overnight stop, but we were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. There is complimentary underground parking, a bonus where parking in the area can be quite difficult. Good reception on arrival. Standard rooms are a reasonable size and very well organised. Super comfortable bed provides a good night’s sleep although there is some road noise from the busy street below. A higher floor or room situated away from the road is of benefit.We had dinner in the hotel where there was a choice or a la carte or buffet. Our a la carte choice of salad and vegetarian risotto both excellent and was accompanied with complementary appetisers. Drinks are reasonably priced, and service is efficient. Breakfast the following morning equally good and five star quality with great choice of food options including eggs cooked to order. Overall, it was an excellent stay for a hotel in the budget choice category.

Smallest bed ever

The Ibis at Sfax is unlike any other Ibis I ever stayed at. It is a budget hotel, so the room is tiny, making it hard if you have a few pieces of luggage. The bathroom is even smaller and it has one of those horrible plastic-box-showers. The two single beds in our room were the narrowest, smallest beds I have ever slept in.But everything is clean, modern and practical. Especially the community areas are very pleasant, good spaces with friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor areas around the bar are lovely and inviting. An unexpected nice surprise was the breakfast : large buffet with a choice of fresh, good-quality food and a wonderful coffee machine.Overall, I would imagine this Ibis is the perfect business hotel ; if you carry little luggage and spend only time in the room to sleep. If not, try to upgrade to a larger room.
