Location

The hotel is located just a few kilometres from the Carthage ruins, near to the beautiful village Sidi Bou Saïd, and next to the capital. The hotel is only 15 minutes away from Carthage Airport in Tunis.

Facility

121 rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     A great place just "somewhat less" in winter :)

    Except for the place being with "reduced amenities" in winter (all its common areas such as hallways & the main lobby area being "quite cold", both swimming pools having been emptied, and also the hotel beach all the way at the back not actually being dirty but looking kind of neglected), it was a pretty good 2-week stay here in my own "fairly spacious" room with a sizeable bed & a nice-sized ensuite bathroom and where there's also a small balcony with a table & some chairs overlooking the back side of the hotel grounds (a good view of the pools) and the sea beyond although it was too cold to sit there at the time. As for the food, I was quite happy with both breakfast & dinner buffets at the hotel restaurant (really "above average" ones I would say) which I had everyday of my stay here.Just on the downside is the location which is kind of "out of the way" not just from Tunis but also from like the center of Gammarth (with a "shopping center" & such at like a half-hour walk from this place and where the street is also without sidewalks) although yes all the places to get to are just within short taxi rides from here (the Airport, downtown Tunis, Carthage archaeological site, the "picturesque town" of Sidi Bou Said & the beach of La Marsa). And yes, my "many, many thanks" are to Ms. Hayad at the front desk & the staff (especially the lady who nicely took care of my room and the 2 gentlemen from the restaurant) for their very nice helpfulness & friendliness which made my stay here a "quite pleasant" one.

    Booked via booking site and confirmation received on arrival told they will not honour booking and wanted us to rebook direct at double the price. We advised that we had already paid via the booking site but they say not their problem and we should pay them and claim our precious payment back. Every argumentative and rude receptionist and the manager completely ineffective named sofien Mani avoid this hotel like the plague and do not pay money via any booking sites

    This hotel is not a hotel to be in when raining absolutely nothing to do. Not even background music day or night.6 channels on tv all fuzzy screen 1 English film channel but half screen was covered by a satellite upgrade announcement.Seemed like a skeleton staff some doubling up jobs.70 per cent of time found nobody on reception.70 per cent of staff could not speak English and those who could were basic.Food just below average.It seemed like a place that was on its last legs but I did visit during Ramadan so dont know how much busier when it's not.There were 2 cats roaming round the inside of the hotel 1 was in the restaurant every lunch and dinner.Chipped glasses and soup dishes.Room cleaned nice on my second day.I read some reviews before going and thought the bad ones were exaggerated but now understand where they are coming from.......

    This hotel has seen better days.It’s a short walk to the sea and the bay of Tunis which gave us great views from the room. Unfortunately there’s garbage all over the beach.The mattresses were old and horrible this was the same in the other two rooms of my friends.We paid for the breakfast buffet which was disappointing. They didn’t have enough coffee cups so often we when we went to the machine to get coffee we had to ask the staff to wash one of the cups for us. Halfway through breakfast service they ran out of pastries.The steam tables did not work properly so the food was often cold and the overall cleanliness of the buffet and tables was lacking to the point where I worried about the cleanliness of the kitchen.My husband and I will not be returning to the hotel.

    The scariest hotel ever. We only stayed for one night because it was close to the airport, for us to fly early in the morning. The rooms are so dirty, everything is broken, hair on the pillows. The staff is not helpful at all. Don’t ever stay here if u planning your trip to Tunisia.
