    What a place. This was the 107th country we visited and we have never had such a warm, inviting welcome anywhere else! The front desk staff could not do enough for us. Got an upgrade. Extra bed. The GM greeted me on the phone and then came out in person. All hotel staff interactions were phenomenal right down to the doorman who grabbed a cab for us within a minute by making a call. The Assistant GM gave us a fond farewell. We liked the hotel's Tunisian restaurant Walima (I did separate review) too. The hammam/spa area was a bit difficult to navigate, as in to figure out where to go to get robes, slippers, etc. But we managed. Breakfast was very delicious and had plentiful selections. A few names that helped were Mehdi, Ichrak, and Najmeddine. I highly recommend this property on a hill with nice view all around of Tunis (see my pic). In fact, it was hands down the BEST and most comfortable and spacious hotel in the country, and I stayed at 4 other places in the Tunisian south.

    I'm writing to express my disappointment with my stay. Receptionist Naeem verbally abused me. Another receptionist misled me on the exchange rate (0.78 dirhams to dinars) and gave me a lower rate. A staff member entered my mother's room without permission. When I asked the duty manager to file a complaint and involve tourist police, it was refused and ignored.
