    Nice start of our tour in Tunisia

    Spacious room….nice decors, walk in closet in bathroom, with both bathtub and separate shower (which is really handy….not everyone wants to climb into slippery bathtubs in unfamiliar rooms). lots of chargers provided (although no USB port)The whole resort was super spacious. Don’t miss the small path leading to the beach (which was a stunning surprise where we saw a very impressive ocean with various Colors AND some camels and horses near the waves! There was also a small beach front restaurant next to the camels (but only open for lunch). However, beware if you walking towards the right hand side of the cafe along the beach….within 1km…a pack of fierce dogs would come out and chase tourists wildly…the left hand side was much more peaceful.Besides the big outdoor pool, we also relaxed in the spa, with heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room etc, all perfectly decorated in their cultural theme and was super relaxing after a whole day out.Bugs in our room was one nuisance but they disappeared after the second day in our four night stay so it was ok.We had dinner and breakfast in the buffet restaurant (both indoor and outdoors). Heard the Chinese restaurant Li Bai was very very good but it was a pity we didn’t try.Front desk also arranged a taxi pick up around mid night which was very helpful when arriving in an unfamiliar country late at night. And it was only half the price of what we usually paid our agent!!!One funny thing we discovered: the issue of spoons…in the breakfast buffet, a lot times there’s no serving spoons for dry food (not even sesame seeds or other smaller seeds so we had to gently tilt the container so small amount will drop into our cup of yogurt….). While there was a spoon for food with liquid, no serving spoons were provided for the nearby dry food so some customers used the wet spoon to scoop dry food and made a mess. Inside our room there were two tea cup sets, but funny only one spoon was provided….to share I guess???     There are very few 5-star hotels in the world capable of achieving the level of hospitality and genuine care that I experienced at this majestic property.Having worked in the luxury hotel industry in London myself, I am very aware of what is right and what is not — and the standard here is truly exceptional.From Hussein, who welcomed me at the spa with dates and apricots, to the housekeeper who repaired my shorts in no time, every gesture reflected warmth, attentiveness, and sincere generosity. This property introduced me to a level of care and treatment that was previously unknown to me.A very special mention goes to Saoud, the Grand Dame of the hotel and second in command, who graciously allowed me to purchase an item from the room.     Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.Close to the Airport.The property is very well maintained, with beautiful green gardens and excellent facilities.The food is varied and enjoyable, offering a mix of Asian cuisine, including Chinese dishes, as well as traditional Tunisian options.Indoor and outdoor pools are available, along with a clean and well-kept beach area.WiFi performance was better than expected.Overall, a very pleasant stay. 100% recommend. From the amazing breakfast crew (Fysal, Anis, sorry so many I forgot their names) to the security team (Sabrina, Adel, and your associates), doormen (Wissem, Abdeljelil, Massinissa, Karim, and Aymen), to reception (Nizar, Wissem, Besma, Saida, Hamdi, Nawfel) to the amazing bar manager Mahdi, the bar crew (Ahmed, Aziz, Mahzed ) to the pool/sauna team.
