Great, clean hotel and friendly/helpful staff

    rating27 Aug 2022

I have recently come back from staying a week at this hotel. Absolutely amazing! The staff were friendly. The service was great. We had booked large room to deliver training and they always went above and beyond during my stay. The WiFi was great during the day, but then could be intermittent in the evening but was nothing to worry about as the pool side was busy and there was a great atmosphere. The staff speak little English, but always tried to help where ever they could and would always greet me when in passing. The food, well what can I say? It was amazing! The breakfast, lunch and evening meals were absolutely amazing and don't understand why some people have said it needs improving. Rooms are always made and the hotel was clean. The pool was crystal clear and would always be cleaned every morning when I would go out on my balcony for a smoke. My room size was great and the bathroom was emaculate. Although the poolside does get bust at night, the noise was tolerable and did not go on for longer than necessary. The conference room that we had book did get a little warm even though the AC was on max, but that added to the experience. We always have fresh water bottles in the conference room in the morning and replenished in the afternoon. They reception staff were always friendly & help me on my check out when I could not locate my wallet (my fault as forgot where I had placed it). After such a great week, I was reluctant to come back to England. This overall was a great first visit to Tunisia and my overall experience of the country was enhanced by the lovely hotel staff and amazing food. If I had to give a CON it would be that the larger fish needed to be in a bigger tank. Thank you for a great experience and I wish you all the best. I will definitely be booking this hotel in the future.

Friendly staff and overall a pleasant experience.

    rating26 Aug 2022

Rooms were very nice and the entire hotel is well-cleaned.My only complaints are that the toilet paper was not restocked without me having to ask for it, and that the WiFi quality is poor: you often cannot even connect to it if there are too many people around. The staff were always so helpful and friendly though. I had trouble with my taxi when trying to check out and Ibrahim Ben Said (the IT manager) drove me to the airport.

Large rooms, nice bar but poor breakfast and bad WLAN

    rating06 Feb 2022

Positive: Rooms are big with balcony. Well for smoker. It's one of two hotels in tunisa we found, where you can get a beer or vine for dinner. In all other hotels you don't get any alcohol. They have a very nice bar where you can drink a beer to the dinner. Many locals visitor came to the bar because it's one of the rare places in Tunis where you can have alcohol for the dinner. Negative: Internet works badly. Many times not at all. WiFi available but no connection to the internet.Shower: The shower bends down and the water only hits the wall.Breakfast: Poor instant coffee. Buffet but doesn't look appetizing at all.The question at breakfast whether the baguettes from yesterday were answered with yes.

Don’t allow us to get in because of the way I wear “ps: i’m wearing a hat”.

    rating14 Sept 2021

Actually it was the worst experience i’ve ever had,I went to many places before but i didn’t see such kind of disrespectful behavior before.today, i called “grand hotrl” to see if i need a reservation to get into “the terace” and they said that there’s no need to. I checked the website before i go and i found that they do not ask for any dress code “ps : when i called after what happened to check if they have a dress code, the person who picked up didn’t even understand the word”dresscode””, anyway, when i got there the security guard told me that i’m not allowed to get into the hotel cause i was wearing a HAT, i told him what’s wrong with that, he said that i can’t get in and i should leave in a meaning way. I called the hotel to check with them, i told them what’s wrong with a hat, it’s summer and everyone is wearing hat, he said that i’m not allowed and they need to keep the faces clear, but at the same time, he told us to wear a mask before getting inside, when i asked them, how come u still can identify a person while he’s wearing a mask, and u cannot with a hat.He just hang up on me and didn’t pick up again.I don’t understand how people are still judging others by there look.

Dirty hotel bar, so much for Covid hygiene measures

    rating03 Oct 2020

There is no way this hotel is a 5 star hotel.I came to the hotel for a business meeting and sat in the bar which had a rather dirty looking carpet. An employee was adjusting the curtains near my table and saw all the crumbs and food on the floor and just walked off. In these times of Coronavirus the hotel is obviously not paying attention to cleanliness.I had to go looking for the waiter to come and serve us then had to look for him again to pay.I had a look outside at the pool area which seemed quite nice but the pool was a bit small and not suitable for swimming laps.Seeing how dirty the public areas were, I definitely wouldn't take the risk of staying here. The following day I had another meeting and we went to a different hotel. Tunis Grand Hotel Tunis, Autre at Tunis Grand Hotel, responded to this review Dear Madam / Sir,First of all, thank you for choosing to host your business meetings at our hotel and then filing a review. We pay great attention to all opinions issued by our customers. We are obviously sorry that your experience was not perfect and will do everything to ensure that it does not happen again. We will promptly investigate what happened to ensure an immediate resolution and we will be very grateful if you give us more details (the day and time). Please know, Madam/Sir, that we have a hygiene and quality department and that we are uncompromising on the cleanliness of our premises.Best regards,
