    The lobby and dining area appears to be newly renovated and clean. No steps or ladder for the swimming pool. You must be fit and agile enough to climb out of the pool. Gym is under renovation.The room's internet is unreliable. Rooms are very old and worn out. Wallpaper torn off, wall exposed. A few mosquitos were buzzing around in the room for several days. Aircon is rather noisy. Some areas of the hotel are very dirty. Rubbish is left lying on the ground near the swimming pool area. Dirty extra matresses are crammed into stairwells. I checked out 11 minutes late (according to my wristwatch). I was charged about Rp 120,000.ooMy suggestion to hotel management: put a clock on the wall at the reception. That way, people can check out according to your time. Also, consider empowering your staff to waive the late checkout fee when your guest is late by just 18 minutes (according to your staff's wrist watch) To me, this reflects an unfriendly, inhospitable and inflexible attitude from the management. I'll never stay here again.

    Well, the title has said it all. The hotel is terrible. It is filthy, run down and just bad. The toilet is stained and dirty. There is a big hole on the wall covered by plank of wood. I can’t sleep as I was worried of my safety at night. Highly not recommended.

    this hotel is quite long standing, I've several times stay at this hotel, unfortunately there is not enough renewal in the room. The room is spacious enough, fun, only tv that has become LED TV, but almost all parts of the room has not changed since almost 8 years ago. but the hotel is quite comfortable, clean and close to traditional food vendors. overall a pretty comfortable hotel to live in ...

    1 night is too much!The hot water is not working (they told me that is because they starting maintenance for hot water.) but there is no discount for that. The bathroom are not clean enough. You can see the wall starts ‘yellowing’. Yuck.....No hairdryer for IDR 450k++The electricity was down 3 or 4 times at one night! Blackout happends.... First time for me! Bad.The breakfast food?BAD BAD BAD.

    First night there,the Card holder to get lights etc in the room didn't work. Got the Engineering Men up to fix it who couldn't. The Unit had to be replaced. They ended up short circuiting the board with Cardboard which we later found out was our Breakfast Voucher. In the morning, we tried to explain to the Reception what happened to the Voucher. Still not sure if they believed us. The Security Box had no Batteries. The Toilet wouldn't flush! Engineering Men back again. They pulled the Spring from the Button and you had to hold it down and just let the water run, hoping it flushed everything away? It didn't! We had to use the Rubbish Bin, filled it with water and flushed it. Second Day.The Shower drain was blocked! We asked to get these problems fixed,it never happened and we let them know every day!!!! There were other minor problems but we tolerated them because we knew that they wouldn't be fixed. I could detail every problem as well as the WIFI but it would take too long. We had to put up with this for the entire time we were there and that was for 4 days. Apparently, other guests were having problems with their rooms so we didn't shift as it would have taken too much time to repack everything. I am upset with AGODA. They take your money from your Visa as soon as you book, where as other Companies, eg, Booking.com, you pay the Hotel but not AGODA. I was hoping that AGODA would compensate us as we are going back to Surabaya next year and was hoping to get a Special Discount on accommodation. I haven't heard from them and don't expect to. My wife and I can not praise the Staff of Sun Hotel enough except the Engineering. My advice to anyone who is looking at staying at this Hotel, THINK AGAIN!!!! It is the worst room that we have ever been in and we wouldn't go back even if it was free. Very disappointing.
