    Post-Soviet Paradise

    rating22 Sept 2021

For the money we paid, it didn't feel like the best deal. WIFI was very bad, Our room was nice, but it had chipping paint. The smells from the bathroom and drain in the balcony were truly disgusting and we had to keep the bathroom door closed throughout the stay after we experienced what leaving it open for a few hours did to the room. It stank. The service of the staff was always friendly. The all inclusive breakfast was the worst I've ever seen. It was chopped up hot dogs posing as sausages, like some dystopian post-Soviet cafe. As it turns out most of the client are actually from post-Soviet villages and cities, and it reflects in the food they offer. The only thing Turkish we ever saw was tea and baklava. Lunch and Dinner were better, with lots of basic foods to eat, if nothing great. Pool was nice, location across from beach was good.

Great location for gym rats. Do you even lift bro?

The view is just amazing, and you can’t get any closer to the beach than this place. We had breakfast the first day, and were very unimpressed. We started eating out at other places but we gave the breakfast a second chance and it wasn’t bad. They must have been having an off day the first day. The best breakfast is a few doors down at The Grill House though. Come hungry, trust me. If I were you though, I wouldn’t pay 7 Euros for the other meals there. There are countless restaurants near there with amazing food. But we ate breakfast here about 50% of the time. It’s the same thing every day though. The rooms have a safe, but mine didn’t work. Also the room’s power turns off with your key. So the mini fridge shuts off when you leave the room; therefore you can’t leave anything in there and expect it to be cold when you get back. Which also means coming back to a hot room since the A/C will be off while you’re out. The A/C also has a tendency to drip on the wall. Once is started pouring water it had built up (from condensation I guess) on the bedside table near it. See photoThe gym is both awesome and horrible. Awesome because there are a ton of barbells and plates. If you’re a powerlifter, olympic weightlifter or crossfitter you’ll love it. Terrible because the equipment is all old, like ancient, and the cardio equipment consists of one cheap exercise bike and a stair stepper so old (the type with hydraulics) that you might find being thrown away by a dumpster (see picture). So if you’re expecting a treadmill or an elliptical, think again. There are two gyms too; one room has machines like leg press, chest fly, smith machine, leg extensions, and lots of benches. The other room is mainly squat racks and Olympic platforms, with one bench and pullup/dip bars. They only show a small portion of it on their booking.com, but it’s actually 6 times bigger than it looks. Some people don’t care about that, but me and my girl chose this place simply so we could keep doing the big four lifts while on vacation. I only remembered to take pictures of one of the two gyms; the other one is mainly benches, pullup bars and machines.I’ve heard complaints about the staff, but I cannot really say the same. The massage lady was kinda pushy (I get it, they’re all hurting for business right now) and she started following us trying to get a sale until the manager yelled at her in Turkish and she backed off. But besides that no issue. The cleaning lady comes in every day and changes the sheets and straightens up. As for laundry, there are washing machines outside in the bathrooms by the pool (seriously) and no dryers. You have wires to hang stuff on your balcony, but no clothespins. Bring your own I guess. I lost a sock. I’ve read complaints about the pool but I had no issues with it. It seemed okay to me.The WiFi sucks. There’s no nice way to put it. It’s there, but works as effectively as an American congressmen. All in all, understand what you’re getting. This ain’t a 5 star resort. It’s a budget hotel 50 meters from the beach. It’s safe and fairly clean. There’s an truly amazing view of the beach and mountains. I don’t regret my booking, but I knew kinda what to expect. If you’re looking for luxury look elsewhere. I’ll give it three out of five for having a real (despite being old and ghetto) gym where I could actually lift real weights.I don’t regret my stay.

    unfriendly staff and awfull internet

    rating07 Sept 2018

we stayed for a week there. The two good things about this hotel was the size of the room and breakfast. The staff were unfriendly. The pool was in the entrance of the hotel without any privacy and so crowded! The internet didnt work at rooms at all! The beach in front of the hotel was for public without good services and full of rocks!

Worst hotel ever! Don't even think about booking!

    rating19 Aug 2018

This was hotel hell! We didn't even finish our stay,we only stayed a night because we arrived at midnight and we couldn't find another hotel! The pics on the internet are deceiving! The sheets were stained, the walls were also dirty and needed painting, the bathroom was disgusting, the faucets were rusty, the tv had just a few channels and the image was bad. Also, don't expect to receive an invoice as they charge you much more than they should. If you don't have turkish lira they will charge you much more so be sure to check the exchange rates because the receptionist will keep the rest !

    Recomended

    rating19 Aug 2018

We were moved to this hotel from the terrible Orange Park, after which everything seemed like Paradise )near the beach with umbrellas, very decent food for a 3 star hotel, there is a Hammam and massage, friendly and helpful Russian-speaking staff, air conditioning works great, near a large shopping complex, an Oceanarium and a Dolphinarium.at prices it is commensurate with the terrible 4 star hotels, but the quality is much better. if we go to Antalya again, we will definitely go to it.
