Nice hotel by the beach with good service for good price

I've spent one week with my boyfriend at the Kleopatra Gungor hotel. The greatest advantage is its location. The hotel is only 50 m away from the Kleopatra sand beach, close to the bazaar and it only takes a nice 1 hour long walk to the castle on the top of the hill. The food is average but you always have lots of fresh fruits, nice salad bar and some very sweet desserts for the end of your meal. For breakfast you can choose between different types of salamis, cheese, olives, jams, yoghurts, sweet pastries… At the dinner they always have something special like kebab, fish, paella, grilled meat and so on. The staff is friendly and they are really trying to give their best, although they’re not good at English. If you know how to “Deutsch sprachen” you’re good. The only thing we missed the most is music!Rooms are also nice, with big double bed, television, air conditioning, bathroom and balcony. They could be a little bit cleaner, especially the floor, but they do change your towels and bed linen. I would recommend this hotel for everyone that likes simple, small, family hotel and is not too choosy about food.

    Very average but good price

I spent 10 days in hotel Kleopatra Güngör in August/September 2014 with my boyfriend. The hotel is nearby the Kleopatra beach. It's close to the centre, there are many shops and restaurants around there. Across the street there is a pharmacy. We asked for a seaside room, we got one on the 1st floor but we only saw trees from our balcony. There is a restaurant Naboen next to the hotel with live music everyday till cca 24:00, so we managed to sleep after midnight.Room was ok, we were 2 ppl but we got a triple room, we used 3rd bed to put our clothes and things on as the wardrobe was too small.Bathroom with showerbath and wc was ok, clean. Not much spacious. Air-con. working ok, fridge not that much. But it's probably because when you leave the room and take the keys with you the electricity automatically stops working in the room.Reception was nice and small, one receptionist was really friendly, his name is Murat. Others didn't care that much as him.We had all inclusive, but we had to buy water in bottles everyday in the shops.Breakfasts overall were horrible, eggs you get only hard-boiled, further there was milk, cereals, jams, toasts and bread, some cheese and salami, yogurt. Really large selection of fruits but unfortunately there were always flies flying around it.One big problem was that the restaurant didn't have enough capacity. We had to wait for plates for like 5 minutes, then wait another queue for food, couldn't find place to sit so we had to share table with strange people.Choice of main courses was poor. There was always minced meat or chicken wings, one time in week grilled fish, one time french fries, otherwise rice or potatoes. Everyday tomato soup, for ex. for lunch fine tomato soup, for dinner they added spices and noodles to it.Desserts were good, mostly cakes with cream and some topping, sweet custards, and probably turkish sweets ( wet sweet balls). Desserts were everyday the same but we liked them.Staff of the restaurant seemed a bit impolite to me, they didn't even say hello.Cleaning of the room was performed everyday, signs tells that towels are changed every second day, that wasn't true.If you go to the beach, 2 sunbeds and beach umbrella will cost 6 eur/day, a lot of people boycott this and put their own umbrellas and towels on the sand close to the sea.( if you want to buy your own umbrella just visit the shop next to the hotel, one costs 8 eur, so you would save a lot of money).
