  Great stay at the Barut Goia

  We really enjoyed our 13 night stay at the beginning of May. We were a party of 5, myself, daughter, her partner and their 4 and nearly 2 year old daughters. We were on the quiet side of the property and that definitely suited us. They shared a one bedroom poolside room which was great and I had a 1 bedroom garden suite that also happened to have a pool view too which was amazing to myself which was a real treat. I have stayed at the Barut Lara with my daughter several times when she was a teenager and I have also been to the Barut Hemera with friends a few years ago. Pricing both of these they were both outside of our price range and for just regular rooms. The rooms that were had at the Goia were definitely superior in size and were excellent value for money. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment and the whole family loved the entertainment manager (sorry can't remember his name) but he was 'super'. The shows were mainly touring dance / acrobatic shows, which were right up our street, so we were really happy. Most of them were excellent, the Colombian groups were exceptionally good. A couple of the shows were not quite as good, but still watchable and in general we were surprised and delighted just how good they were. There was also a mini disco every night before the show and we managed to make that most nights which my grandchildren loved. The older grandchild did a couple of activities at the kids club but preferred to spend most of her time in the pool. The 3 ladies that worked there were all lovely.If you have stayed at other Barut properties then the trade off for the cheaper price is definitely the food and the number of a la carte restaurants (just 2). The quality of the protein offerings meat and fish is definitely not as good in any of the restaurants, but I am giving my 5 star review based on the price paid and we definitely did not go hungry. The wine with meals and drinks in general were absolutely fine. We are all meat eaters, however I eat quite a lot of vegetarian food, and I would say if you were vegan there was a lack of protein options available. Plenty of lovely salads but apart from hummus that was available just about every lunchtime and dinner as part of the salad offerings, there was not always things like bean salads etc and the hot vegan offering would often just be vegetable based. A warning about the time the meals finish in the main restaurant, lunch finishes at 1430 and the staff are there clearing the dishes away immediately, the clock hits 1430, same for breakfast and dinner, so do not arrive at 1425 and expect to get 2 courses!The first week the pools were on the cool side but the eldest grandchild wasn't bothered and was in it every day, the rest of us didn't go in until the second week. We also spent a day on the beach and ate in the cafe there which was absolutely fine.A big shout out to the 2 young ladies that were working in the patisserie, we used to go for coffees and desert after lunch and they go to know our order very quickly.Another shout out to the two young ladies that work in the beauty salon, who were also lovely. My daughter and I both had manicures and pedicures and they were very good value for money. My daughter also had her hair trimmed and she was happy with that too and again a brilliant price.As it was the beginning of the season we never had any issues getting sun beds but the second week it was definitely busier. We were also able to get bookings for the restaurants via guest relations which also worked well for us but I expect it is much more difficult as the season get's busier. We preferred the ambiance and menu at the Fely Restaurant to that of the Olea Kitchen (the later open for lunch and during the afternoon too).All staff were lovely and helpful, including the ladies that cleaned the rooms. The property itself is very clean, only tiny negative, I felt the poolside toilets could have been serviced more often.To summarise, this holiday exceeded our expectations based on what we had paid and we would definitely book again.   Wonderful hotel and AMAZING staff

  We stayed at the Barut Goia during the first week in May. We booked the 2 bedroom penthouse apartment as I travel with my husband and my mother. What an amazing room, we had a lovely double bedroom with a normal balcony, there was a single room for my mother, a living area and a massive balcony with sunbeds and a whirlpool bath. Before arriving at the hotel I had emailed to ask if it would be possible to have 3 sunbeds on the terrace instead of the normal 2 and as you can see by my photos my request was accommodated. It was raining when we arrived but thankfully that was the only rain we saw. We spent most of our sunbathing time up on our balcony and was able to listen to the music at the pool. Regarding cleanliness, the hotel is spotless and the grounds are very well kept and everything is extremely tidy. The hotel has 2 a la carte restaurants which you can visit every 3rd day, we enjoyed the food in the main buffet restaurant so much we didn't actually visit either of them. There was a great level of choice at the main buffet restaurant but I was more impressed by the quality of the food. Now to the main asset of the Barut Goia........the staff. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel where pretty much every member of staff seems really happy at their work and provide top class service, to the extent that when trying to give a member of staff in the entertainment area a second tip one night she tried to give it back to me and I am devastated that I can't remember her name to give her a special thank you for ensuring the 3 of us were never without refreshments and nuts. The entertainment team are such a friendly group, even though we didn't partake in the many daily activities, we were still made to feel a part of things. Ozi from the entertainment team, sat with us during the professional shows, which were great, once they finished all the entertainment team got up on stage to do their team dance. Ozi was so kind and friendly and I really enjoyed our chats. Fantastic Hotel with amazing staff and fantastic all inclusive programme. Love the Barut concept and want to stay at them all.   Another lovely holiday at the Barut Goia

  Another great holiday at the Barut Goia, second visit and not disappointed, great size rooms and the hotel is super clean.A good selection of food at the buffet restaurant and excellent food at both the à la carte restaurants in the hotel. Our favourite was the Fely,and all the staff lead by Ferhat were absolutely great and very attentive, would recommend a few meals here during any stay.Also a big shout out to all the bar and waiting staff at the Ivy bar, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, and they all work so hard, remembered what drinks you have and you never had to wait long to get served, Gűnes was my favourite waitress, always smiling and never let my glass get empty 😀The entertainment team work very hard to keep the guests entertained day and night, and they have a pretty good range of shows and live singers every night in the Ivy bar Barut Goia, General Manager at Barut Goia, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a wonderful and detailed review of your second stay at Barut GOIA.We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday once again and that you were satisfied with the comfort of your room, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the variety of our culinary offerings.   Is a very nice place. The entertainment staff were very friendly and welcoming. Specially Vladimir, Ozlem, Lisa were amazing.The restaurant is really amazing, the food was really great.We are enjoyed waterpolo, tennis, football and darts! It is a beautiful resort!!!
