  Great hotel, lovely staff and affordable

  All the flights at Corfu airport got cancelled because of the storm, we couldn’t find any accommodation until we found this place. Even though we were well past the check in, they went above and beyond to make sure we got somewhere to stay. They made the room ready for us and turned the lights on. The room was very clean and had everything you need. The people running this hotel are so lovely and do everything they can to make sure you have a good experience. They even got us a taxi back to the airport for our flight the next day. They completely saved us from 20 hours stuck in the airport. Thank you!!

  We had a great holiday.Well equipped apartment with all usual facilities plus television, microwave and aircon all included. Views across the sea to Albania from our patio.Excellent maid service. Everything scrupulously clean.Close to Benitses, about 15 minutes gentle walk along the coast , yet far enough from the main road not to hear the traffic. We enjoyed peaceful nights in a very comfortable double bed.If you don't fancy venturing out during the day there is a very nice pool and surrounding area, with plenty of comfy sun beds with areas of sun and shade.Tasty breakfast choices available up to 11.30 and good choice of light (and slightly heavier) meals afterwards. A well stocked bar too.Above all the owners were super nice people and very helpful , happy to share theiir local knowledge and advice when called upon. 6 packs of spring water thoughtfully stocked, along with big cartons of milk, orange juice etc. which would be a real pain to buy in the village and carry back!We plan to return!

  Liked · This hotel has exceeded my expectations, frankly speaking. It was very well located, quiet and relaxing. The location is perfect, not too close to the main road, boasting sea view from almost all points, nice pool and close to a very nice, even luxurious private beach. The bus stop is also very near, and if you walked 10 min along the sea you could get to Benitses, a village where the shops and restaurants are located.The hosts are super friendly and helpful, over 10 days of our stay they felt like family, Catherine, Phaedon and Alexis, thank you very much you have made our stay so pleasant and carefree.   We where 3 adults and one kid visiting Corfu at first time. We arrived earlier in the morning to the Andromaches hotel apartment 7am and where super tired. The owner of hotel great us and said that we arrived very early, and allowed us to use pool facilities to wait for a check in until afternoon 😢 After breakfast lovely German lady, the wife of owner, complimentary checked us in. Room was clean, they give us information about beaches, markets and restaurants around. During our 7 days stay, rooms was cleaned only 2 times, and they change a bed sheet as well. The owner all hotel is good enough for it money, just need some refresh, it’s a family business but looks like only two people are running for it! We will definitely come back, thanks for your hospitality!   Fair price, nice apartments, no warmth

  What’s good? We had two rooms, both were nice enough, clean walls, sufficient furniture and equipment. The place seems well maintained, it’s generally clean with planting and a nice pool, although it is shaded by about 5pm, The professional couple in charge will organise excursions, car hire etc. Reasonable use of air conditioning is included and in the second room we also had a whirlybird ceiling blade which moved air around at night, quieter than the air con.What’s not good …. From the moment we arrived we didn’t feel welcome. We had pre-arranged a late arrival. We found our way in to bar/reception. They seemed reluctant to greet us - they were eating supper in the otherwise deserted bar. We were then informed that we were in different (better) room for the first two nights but not to worry about anything they would move us. No, “welcome, how was your journey, would you like a drink, something to eat?”. Just “water is 3€”. We went to the room, then back up to the bar for a nightcap - still no friendliness, no offer to start a tab, just very transactional, cool.I think they need to consider their guests more. The only information in the rooms is a list of rules, nothing about what you might like to do during your stay.Superficially the rooms are clean but OH found a clump of hair stuck to his foot after 5 minutes in room 1 and there was a huge cobweb in the bathroom and 2 dirty cups in the cupboard. In room 2 we had to move the sofa when a ring rolled underneath - clearly that hadn’t seen a broom for months, nor had under the bed, and we found make-up and other items left by a previous resident. Linens/towels are supposed to be changed every 3 days and bins emptied every other - this was not our experience. In 8 days we had in our correct room, only one linen change.There was a safe in our room but no information about how to use it, it appeared to be locked shut and in need of a battery,so of no use.There was a huge thunderstorm one afternoon with torrential rain and no drainage off from our end of the terrace. When the water reached the lip of our apartment door and was about to come in, we set to it with brushes and swept it away onto the path - took us half an hour but the terrace was lovely and clean afterwards. No enquiries were made to see if any guests had problems during/after the downpour.The bar area is …. tired. It feels like the owners personal space. Are guests welcome to sit there too? To watch the the TV, DVDs, take a book, play with the games??The walls are covered with faded, torn flags, posters for trips that no longer happen, and information leaflets about things that closed down some years ago, such as the shell museum. Needs updating and a good tidy up. There’s no promotion of the bar, what food is available and when. Alex Politzi’s touch is needed.When it came to moving rooms, I went into Benitses for an 8am appointment and my OH packed our cases. A note came through the door at 8.45 to say our next room was ready. OH said just leaving to fetch me and get breakfast and we’d be back at 10am. “That’s too late!” was the brusque response, “you move now!” Then the poor thing had to move everything by himself. He was livid and after that he refused to have anything to do with the man. When I later tried to arrange a late check-out for our final day until 19:00 at 50% room rate as stated in the informations they initially refused, then said maybe another room, but couldn’t confirm until the day prior. Then said they’d had a cancellation they could move someone else so we could stay in our room but we would have to be out by 18.00 and it would be 40€!! We advised them we would just check out by 10am as required.The room is on trip advisor again tonight for less than 80€. So we spent 10€ on a taxi into Benitses and gave our day’s business to Argo instead. The final straw was the cleaner chasing us from the room at 9.50 - we were ready - but checkout is 10am!In summary - acceptable accommodation a 20-30 minute walk North from Benitses.
