Peaceful
26 Apr 2016
This was booked as my first holiday as an 18 yr old with my friend. I quite like the hotel - it was small and basic but clean and that's what mattered and very cheap. We were all inclusive, there was always something to eat (even for my fussy eater friend although she did complain), chips are out every day. The drinks aren't strong but I still got drunk after a few lol... Easy to walk into the town for restaurants, bars etc, and just outside is an amazing little tourism shop with the day trips etc. My friend made us move because of an issue with staff (which to be honest she caused) and management were very helpful, upgrading us to the sister hotel (Rainbow) which was stunning.

Honest Review
10 Oct 2015
ok so after booking my holiday and getting the details from the agent ,my partner and myself decided to research the hotel and area we were staying in .we were pretty shocked at some of the reviews of the hotel on here and a bit worried to be honest !! When we arrived at the Elit Garden hotel at around 1130 pm, we were met by an older gentleman who spoke very little english .He was very helpful and even offered to order takeaway if we wanted food .We were shown a choice of rooms to choose from and he carried our fairly heavy suitcase up the stairs to the room we had selected .Once we had put out things in our room we wwent to the outside bar area for a drink as it had been a long day ,it was explained that drinks would be 'extra' as the all inclusive was between 10 am and 10 pm. this was fine .In the rest of our holiday i can sum up very simply ,the staff are great and as helpful as they can be with limited english .The rooms are clean and presentable ,with air con (although fairly small) .Also you might like to ask for extra pillows .As mentioned earlier the all inclusive is only from 10 am till 10 pm for drinks . The food is fairly poor to be honest ,you could live on it and the staff eat it so cant be that terrible .Also regarding the above comments about birds and flies etc.,the birds are tiny sparrows that hop around the floor looking for crumbs (we only saw 2-3 at any one time),The flies well it seems this is just normal for Turkey there are flies pretty well every where we went to eat in Turkey !!!.So all in all a great hotel if you dont expect the ritz !! .You should not think of it as all inc ,more like a room with free drinks and a pool !! we ate out almost every day ,but when a main meal and drinks for 2 comes in at around 12-15 quid its not bad .One last thing ,there is a Mosque closeby ,the first day or so it will suprise you with loud singing/chanting every 4 hours starting at about 6 am ,this is a muslim country !!!

Does what it says on the tin

For a cheap week away, this place was good. Great location for the beach and exploring the area. Room was small, basic but clean, the free air con was a great addition. Be aware, it is very close to a mosque which if you are a light sleeper may impact on your stay but we found this not to be a problem. But.....the food was awful and repetitive. We never want to see chicken and rice again!!!! Spent most days eating out. Staff were good and worked very hard but didn't speak much English and customer service skills were poor. Not really suitable for children as there is not much to do at the hotel itself. The hotel offers free wifi but, you can only access this in the reception area.

Some good some bad.
26 Jul 2015
Where to start, we have just returned after a two week stay. On arrival at midnight, the rooms were not ready despite the hotel not being full. We wanted 2 rooms, for 2 adults and 1 child in each. On the first night we ended up with 3 rooms, two of which had no keys. They wanted to put us all in a family room on the third floor. It took nearly 2 hours to check in and sort out rooms. They eventually found 1 key but we had to spend the first night with our case behind the door as our lock. The room and key problem was sorted out the next day by Anur the manager. The food was in the main, typical Turkish food you would find in most Turkish hotels, if you you have been to Turkey before the food will not surprise you but the quality and quantity was poor. The food was brought into the hotel from another hotel and sometimes there was not enough food if you went for lunch or dinner a little later. The breakfast was basic, hard boiled eggs, hot dog type sausage usually in a tomato sauce, bread and jam, and some sliced processed meats and cheese and some very sugary cerreals. It was the same everyday. No yogurt as other reviewers have said. The quality of the meats was something that needs looking into, I have never been to a hotel and had what seemed to be chicken carcasses served up, all skin and bone, very little meat. This happened several times, all bone and little meat. Other meats seemed to be variations of burgers in various shapes and with different spicing. The children quite like chicken and rice, but not twice a day every day. Lunch and dinner was also accompanied by soup which was nice most of the time although at times it was very greasy. Lunch and dinner was also accompanied by salads, fruit and deserts. We were all inclusive and were dissapointed that we had to eat out so much, other guests did the same. The kitchen staff were changed in the second week and the presentation of the food improved but the low quality meats and lack of variety remained the same. The food was our biggest disappointment. You eat outside at this hotel and the food is left uncovered so is often covered in flies if you leave eating until later. The bead is also left uncovered and the local sparrows take advantage of this. The owners wife was seen chasing the birds away once but she did not remove the bread that the birds had been eating, she just put a cloth over it for someone else to eat. We always discarded any bread with holes in it.We tried the kebab shop at the bottom of the road but we all ended up with upset tummies. The Red Lion bar/restaurant is close by and serves reasonable food. There are Pizza shops and bars and a Burger King within easy walking distance. The hotel is reasonably clean but it depends on the floor you are on as to the level of service provided. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels and toilet paper supplied. On the floor above this was not the case, cleaning very superficial if done at all, towels not changed unless you went to the cupboard where they were stored and got them yourself, same with toilet paper. The pool area was not cleaned properly and there were armies of ants along the external front wall. The pool looked unclean and cloudy on several days, another guest suggested it looked like raki and water. The pool is very small and there are not that many sunbeds. Most people went to the beach. As others have said, there is a free bus to the beach and the sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach are free, the beach bar food is nice and reasonably priced. The beach is sandy and does not get deep too quickly. The barman who others talked about in their reviews no longer works there, he was as bad as the other reviewers had said. He was replaced by Anil who is a very nice young man.The staff are all very nice but many do not speak any English, Anur the manager, Anil the barman and Fethi who runs the night time reception desk all speak varying levels. Fethi (sorry if my spelling of names is wrong) is the best speaker of English. He is a credit to the hotel, he communicates well with adults and children. The owner of the hotel was staying there, he seemed to rule with a rod of iron and as I said earlier the kitchen and bar staff were replaced. The staff seem afraid of him and cower in his presence. As others have mentioned, the hotel is close to the local mosque and the call to prayer at daylight about 4am is very loud and will wake you as it sounds as if it is in your room. We were able to turn over and go back to sleep. If you are a poor sleeper you need to invest in some ear plugs. The safe costs 2Euros a day but it was not fixed to the wall in both the rooms we had, it was not heavy and could easily been taken from the room.We met lots of new friends and had a very good holiday at this hotel but the poor quality and lack of variation of the food means that we would not return or recommend this hotel. Sorry the review is so long, just trying to give an honest opinion.
