Not up to the usual Turkish standards this end of the country, as expected

    rating14 Oct 2025

Having read the reports prior about this hotel I find them true.. Also never been to a hotel thats so anti British before but if you don't like your country folk its no good trying to befriend a Turk or Russian. However I found German, Swedish, Fin, Ukranian all fine. What has not been mentioned are the new managers of this hotel. They are new, having managed this hotel I am told for some 2 yeras I feeel they should have got it right by now, my opinion none profesional so good usable training has not begun yet. Experience poor. The subject of Tips has not been bought up. I certainly gave out to most of the restaurant and bar staff plenty. Made not a jot of difference. Please don't think I have an axe to grind I have not, as I have been to may Turkish hotels that have been fabulous. Could go og and on, but make your own minds up unless they scrub this feedback off.

Disappointing, definitely no more than 2*, felt unwelcome as British guests, beds VERY uncomfortable. Basic at best.

My friend and I arrived at the Hotel Havana at 4am, having had to make our own way from the airport after Love Holidays failed to provide the transport which we had booked and paid for in advance. We were tired, hungry and thirsty, nothing available to drink as the tea/coffe/water etc come from machines which are turned off after 10pm. Our room was very small, one of us had to sit on the bed so the other could pass to use the bathroom. The beds are extremely hard, a wood box base with a very thin, lumpy mattress, I literally have bruising on my hips and woke with terrible backache. Hot water to shower was hit and miss, the room was only cleaned once during our 2 week stay and you have to ask at reception for toilet roll. The tv is very old and the channels are all Turkish apart from one German, the signal was also poor so we didnt use it. The young men who waited on and manged the bar were friendly enough, but do not speak English. The female receptionist is beyond rude and unwelcoming, I'm not sure what she hates most, her job or the British! Wifi is 2 euro per day and is unreliable. The pool area itself is very pretty and the pool is cold but lovely. The sun loungers are filthy and have old, musty, hard mattresses on (rather like the beds) The floor around the pool was sticky , though otherwise it was quite a clean area. However, the issue was the music, which consisted mainly of Turkish 'dance' and 'electro' at full volume, with the same songs repeated over and over until your ears rung. The incessant 'boom boom boom' of the bass literally vibrated the tables. It only stopped briefly to allow for the call to prayer to be blasted out 5 times a day starting at 5am ish. This was enough to wake the dead, so if you like to sleep in forget it! There is coffee available from a machine until 10pm, after that there are no drinks available as the bar also closes. There is no sweetener or diet drinks available. The drinks available at the bar are limited and it closes at 10pm regardless of whether there are guests trying to enjoy their evening. There is no entertainment, except for a 'disco' one evening. The variety of food was disappointing and limited, though the salads were very fresh. Breakfast was continental with omelette once or twice as a cooked option. Lunch and dinner was usually chicken, rice, salad and pickled veg, dessert was melon, a vile synthetic cream cake and or dry tasteless biscuits coated in syrup. We always found something to eat, and it was ok. We found that the majority of guests were German and Dutch, the menu reflected this. We genuinely felt rather unwelcome compared to guests of other nationalities, though we did feel safe in the hotel. The shopping centre is a mere 5 minutes walk away and buses are available. It is worth bartering with taxi drivers as they make the price up and then drop it when you decide against, same in the shops. We travelled with Love Holidays, huge mistake!! we paid for airport transfers which they claimed to have no record of initially, then claimed that we had been wrongly sold as they no longer do transfers to Havana Hotel. However other guests at the hotel had transfers, so this was clearly untrue. The rep was beyond useless and claimed that he is not there to help with anything other than giving out information on tours etc and that any issues had to be directed to Love Holidays! This company did not want to know once we had paid for the holiday and there is no support whatsoever once you are there! Because of the layout of the hotel, if any guests are being loud, then the whole hotel gets woken up, this happened to us several times in the early hours. We did not pay a huge amount, so did not have high expections, but we did expect the basics such as a comfortable bed, friendly staff and the ability to access a drink of water after 10pm. There is no way this is a 4* and I would barely give it a 2*. If you want a cheap, reasonably clean place to stay close to the nightlife and shops then ok. If you are looking for comfort, hotel entertainment and atmosphere, forget it.

Not 4 star but value for money

We arrived about 8pm quickly checked in, had rooms close to each other, but we were 2 ladies with big suitcases and had to lug them to the 3rd floor ourselves! We went for food before unpacking.Following morning opening the curtains to an amazing view of the mountains. My room was clean and basic, the shower was hot and miss but I managed to shower at least once a day ( sometimes in a cold shower)I could have done with a thicker bed cover but I'm sure had I asked they would have given me one.The hotel was clean and the gardens well maintained. There was something I liked at every meal, not a vast choice of food but enough for every taste, always plenty of salad and vegetables, different potatoes and lovely soups. The hotel is well situated for the marine and the shops of Kemer. The downside is not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, however when we were there 4 people put towels on beds left them there 24/7 and used them for 20 mins. If I hadn't got a bed I promise I would have moved them. However we had to get up early to get a bed. By 7.30am they had all gone.I do think the hotel staff should remove any towels after 10pm, but they didn't.I would stay at the hotel again if it were cheap enough. I would say it is more like a 3 star than a 4. If you want luxury this isn't for you, if you want cheap and cheerful then this is the place. As all inclusive finished at 10pm there wasn't much noise, except from our Geordie neighbours who didn't know how to use indoor voices, even when they weren't arguing! Again not the fault if the hotel I had a Turkish bath and it was cheap and good

Extremely Concerning Experience – Please Be CautiousI stayed at the Havana Hotel with my 19-year-old niece, and our experience was extremely distressing. On our first morning, we discovered a condom left on one of the sunbeds. On our second night, after having a drink at the hotel and then going out to Leon Bar around 10 pm, I have no memory of the night until about 3 am, when my niece told me she had been raped. We believe our drinks may have been spiked, though we are unsure whether this happened at Leon Bar or involved someone from the hotel.I immediately asked hotel staff to call the police. They claimed they had done so but said the police would not attend because my niece was over 18. I insisted they call again and was assured they had, but when I went to the police station, there was no record of any call being made. This has been a deeply traumatic experience for us both. I want to share our story to urge others to be extremely careful if staying here.

Hotel is ok as is the pool area (far from 4 star though) but the food is awful and all inc drinks are practically non existent as choice is very poor! Staff aren’t very friendly especially lady at reception but have to say our cleaning lady was lovely! Kemer is really lovely but don’t stay here!
