Great hotel rude employee
05 Dec 2025
Rooms were clean n quiet. It was midnight when we rolled in. The late shift employee was a little rude and not really sympathetic of my situation all because the wyndhum or microtel fails to tell you about the 50 to 100.00 deposits required at checkin so we had to find the deposit after driving 6 hours to get here.

Don't inconvenience this hotel with your stay
30 Jul 2025
We had booked this hotel thru booking. I received both confirmation messages from booking and the hotel themselves. The hotel messaged to confirm that my check in time was correct. I arrived at the hotel at 10:50pm local time. I waited, rang the bell at the front desk, yelled for someone. I called not only the hotel but their care line who also called the hotel for OVER 40 MINUTES. We could hear the phone ringing in the employee lounge. Around 12AM yes MIDNIGHT, AN HOUR AND 10 MINUTES AFTER ARRIVAL I went looking for someone. There was no one anywhere including the room clearly marked employee area only. I did take a video to show this as I would be fighting the nonrefundable booking. We walked across the parking lot in the downpour and got a room with my place (I highly reccomend them). About 1230AM I receive a call from a private number. I awnsered it and it was the hotel calling. The guy asked me if I was ever going to show up to check in. I told him I had shown up and waited for over an hour to which his response was "no you didn't because I've been sitting here the whole time so I know you never did." I replied that I in fact did and even had video showing no one was at the desk or the employee area with the phone just sitting there ringing. He said he doubts that. I asked for a refund and to talk to a manager and he told me he would leave a note for the manager to maybe call me later about it. I checked out of my other hotel around 9 and walked over to this to talk to the front desk about a refund and manager. After I got there a guy vacuuming asked what I wanted (not needed). I told him part of the story when he interrupted me and said, "yes I already know, that was me last night and I told you he would eventually call you." I asked about the refund again and he said the manager said they might be able to but no one knew how to refund it and they would have to find someone who did before they could. I left and called booking who called the hotel. The hotel told booking not to refund it until the manager had time to call me at some point to discuss the issues. I assumed this ment he wanted to actually talk and FIX the issues. I was wrong. I got a call just before 1pm from another private number. This was a man who sounded like a child who just got yelled at by mommy and had to apologize. He was very quiet and mumbled and made it clear I WAS an inconvenience. I kept having to ask him to talk louder. Once I could finally hear him he confirmed I was the name on the booking and then said "I decided to give you a refund after last night I guess". I was irritated because this is no way for a manager to talk especially after you said YOU wanted to talk about it. That was the whole conversation. I said okay thanks. There was an odd silence he then mumbled sorry bye and hung up. After all this and me having to request a refund I expected a little more effort to make it right. I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before and I can tell you this is NOT how they treat people. Stay at your own risk.

I showed proof of an email from the hotel of the price I was supposed to pay for 2 nights and they charged me $350 more and told me if I didn’t pay it that they would cancel my room. This was a weekend with big events going on and all other hotels were fully booked.
