I certainly won't be coming back. I paid for all inclusive but if you want a beer it's only allowed in the smallest of plastic cups, if you want a bottle of beer it must be paid for. The food is some of the worst I've ever encountered. The staff and the rooms are fine. But apart from that I would give it a miss. And I think I'm being reasonable. I certainly will not be coming back, and if you want a bottle of water in this heat forget it.

    its the worst experience ever

    rating26 Sept 2015

made a very early reservation for two rooms in that hotel , and called the hotel one month to inform them that me and wife and two sons are there and that we are 4 persons ,,,, after i reach the hotel , was recieved with a person who insist that nobody vall before and ask his manager about the sitiation ,, the manager insist that the two rooms was reserved by single occupacy and i need to pay extra 400 dollars for the two boys ,,,, and he said that the one i called is not the owner and he is the owner !!!!!! He was very rude and i said i will use the same rooms with 400 dollars more ,, that was not logic and seems like this manager dont want to understand and need to hunt ,,,,, finally i booked for my children in another hotel after he refused to accept that i booked two rooms and that i spoke with the reception and not with the owner !!!!!! Honestly it is the worst experience i ever met in my reservations history and the most strange manager i ever met,,, it was the worst management i ever seen

    Not Impressed

    rating23 May 2015

This hotel was lacking luster. It was close to a bus stop and cab station, but the hotel was not amazing. We asked for a sea view and basically get a room where you had to crane around on the balcony to see the water. The breakfast had a horrible selection and was not very filling. Not to mention they need to buy a new coffee heater because there is a horrible high pitched squeal that goes off every 30 seconds. The front desk gentlemen barley spoke English, and were not overly helpful. If you are looking for cheap and are buy yourself, then this place can work. Just go a block up to get food. SelgeAntalya, Manager at Selge Hotel Lara, responded to this review We are sorry to hear that our guest was not satisfied with her stay at our hotel. We hope she will accept our apologies and consider our excuses. Our guests were given a 3rd floor room at the front side of our hotel facing Mediterranean Sea and Taurus Mountains. On the other side of the street, there are some buildings which are lower than our building. They do not block the sea view starting from 3rd floor.Regarding the breakfast, in our hotel continental breakfast is served with 3 kinds of cheese, 2 types of olives, butter, honey, jams, salami, eggs, tomatoes & cucumber, bread, tea & coffee. Our guests may order breakfast snacks from the menu at extra cost too. Regarding the front office employees, we admit that English skills are not very good, as they mainly speak Russian as second language. We hope to meet our guest again at Selge Hotel to show our best service and improvements in our service.

    don't ever stay there !!

    rating16 Nov 2013

my husband and I stayed at Selge Hotel only couple days ago. The room was very dirty, (our drawer was full of rubbish, probably hasn't been checked for ages !!) dusty, old fashioned. And small but bearable. Bathroom was alright, but hardly no hot water. And I must have say pillow and bed were comfy so we managed to have a good sleep. Staff were friendly but service was awful !!! in our first breakfast we had one of that cheap turkish ready breakfast plates. My husband is allergic to cherry jam so we kindly asked to have different flavour jam and they offered us another butter instead ! The next day my husband had strawberry jam on his plate and they were so proud of it !! and the next day I was quite ill and wasn't feel like to go out for dinner or anything, so asked their cafe to eat something in there, they said they don't do anything , they are only "room and breakfast concept" then we asked to order something from out and just eat there, they said no if we want dinner we have to go out !!!! So hospitality was really poor, no good morning, no hello or anything, we weren't happy at all, so you better to avoid it ! SelgeAntalya, Manager at Selge Hotel Lara, responded to this review We are sorry to hear that our guest was dissatisfied with her stay at our hotel. We hope she will accept our apologies and consider our excuses. Daily housekeeping and cleaning service is given to our rooms. If we were informed about the problems in the room, we would change the room and compensate her dissatisfaction. Regarding the breakfast, in our hotel continental breakfast is served with a variety of cheese, olives, butter, honey, jams, salami, eggs, tomatoes & cucumber, bread, tea & coffee. Our guests may order breakfast snacks from the menu at extra cost too. Lastly, food and drinks are not allowed to our hotel from outside due to health and hygiene concerns. This is a widely accepted , international hotel room. We hope to meet our guest again at Selge Hotel to show our best service and improvements in our service.

Not an ideal hotel.. Far away from city center, and small rooms

    rating16 Jun 2011

While we were booking this hotel, we just thought that we will enjoy the sea, because it is located in lara, however you should walk at least 5 minutes. Beside that you are 30 min far away from the city center, to where there is no tram line, just busses, for whihc it is hard to catch the schedule. The rooms were also smaller than expected, and old fashioned. The only amazing thing here is staff, but I dont recommend this hotel to anyone who is going o spend his holiday in antalya. SelgeAntalya, Manager at Selge Hotel Lara, responded to this review We are sorry how our guest perceived the location of our hotel. Our hotel is located at Eski Lara Road which lies next to Mediterranean Sea. However, coastal line in front of our hotel is not a sandy beach but a a rocky waterside. Most of our guests enjoy this seaside and quality of water. It takes 5mins to access to the seaside through stairs. To our guests who prefer a sandy beach, we recommend Lara Beach which is 8km far from the hotel. If our guest asked for transportation, we could arrange free transfer to Lara Beach. Our hotel is located at Sirinyali area which is a fashionable neighbourhood. Bus and taxi are the only means of transportation to city centre. It takes around 25mins to Kalekapisi which is regarded as the very center of Antalya. There are frequent buses to Kalekapisi, every 10 mins. Unfortunately, network of urban tramway is very limited. Tram line doesn't access to our area. There are 3 different types of rooms in our hotel. Our smallest room is 20 sqm which is not below the standard size of a hotel room. If our guest asked for a larger room, we would happily upgrade his room. Regarding the decoration of our rooms, our hotel was renovated 2 years ago. We tried to show Turkish taste of decoration while keeping functions of the room modern and comfortable. With that respect we put best of quality beds, pillows and lines. We understand comments of our guest and will consider improvement areas. Our management is handling every review with special care. Regards,Selin Ergen, Manager & Owner
