This hotel did not having a working elevator forcing people to take stairs without any help with their luggage. Once I got to my room I found strands of hair on the bed, the sink, the toilet and shower. Then I found that the bathroom trash was never emptied from whomever stayed before me; the contents of the trash were nicotine chewing pouches. This hotel does NOT take housekeeping seriously.

Photos don't accurately represent this hotel.

    rating12 Jul 2025

This hotel looks very nice when you enter the lobby and in the online photos, but the guest rooms do not meet the same standard. I had a single queen. The bed was comfortable, and the room had enough space for just me, but I wouldn't want to have to share it. The entry into the room was a very tight squeeze. Furnishings were definitely dated. The room had some updates but noticeable wear and tear. I was on the third floor, and while the elevator was right outside my door, it didn't work - there was no out of order sign though. The stairwell was sweltering hot. The room was warm and humid, especially after using the shower. There also was no handicapped entry on the door they sent me to, and none of the doors from outside or in the common areas open all the way. If you weren't able-bodied, you would struggle staying here. Also, the Google listing notes a hot tub. It has been filled in, so just a pool. Breakfast was decent, standard for hotels like this one. As a single woman staying alone, I felt generally safe. I probably wouldn't choose this as my first choice, but if it were an only option I would reluctantly consider it. IHG Service, Owner at Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis - Fishers By IHG, responded to this review Dear Kelly S, Thank you for choosing our Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis - Fishers and providing feedback about your experience. It's a pleasure having you as our guest. I am truly sorry you did not experience an exemplary stay due to our room needing updates and the temperature in our room. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be certain that I have noted and forwarded your feedback for the management to improve. In the middle of your experience, I am glad our room's beds and the hotel's breakfast were still appreciated. Please grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again.Best Regards,Ben W.Case ManagerIHG Hotels and Resorts Service

Nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express

I wasn't sure what to expect. I am a tough customer, but was pleasantly surprised with the venue. My room was extremely clean, which is number one of importance on my list. Right when you walk in, there is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the free breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. I would definitely stay there again, or refer others!

    Ants! Bugs! Horrible Experience!

    rating14 Apr 2025

Do NOT stay at this Hotel unless you like Ants in your bed, towels, walls, floor, and a few to take home with you. Room 232! Ants!! Disgusting! Itchy! Creepy crawling bugs! Management is very aware of the problem and said they are changing to a different Pest control company. Not acceptable!! Room smelled musty as well! There are many other hotels within feet of this one. I would highly recommend staying at another Hotel! Bed Bugs and More!

    rating30 Mar 2025

BED BUGS My stay here was a nightmare, and nobody is taking responsibility. My room was on the top floor, and the elevator didn’t work the whole time. From what I could tell on their website, it hasn’t worked for awhile. My first night I went out to eat and put my leftovers in the fridge that night. The next day when I got back to my hotel, my room smelled terrible and my food was warm, aka, the fridge didnt work. The second day, I noticed someone scraped the side of my car, and when I talked to the feont desk to ask if they had cameras in the parking lot, they said they didn’t, so an unsafe environment. The curtains in my room were broken, as in they wouldnt close all the way. This wouldnt be so bad if there wasnt a super bright light outside that shined right ok the bed through the crack in the curtain. I fixed it myself with a hanger with clips from the closet. The worse part is I got bed bugs during my stay. I was covered literally head to to with bites. I recieved medical treatment for the bites, and had to have my car, house, apartment (was in the process of moving and items in the hotel ended up at both places) and items all cleaned. The cororate complaint line has been zero help, and the hotels GM, George Reed, will not return any phone calls from myself, or the corporate center. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, and this one is EASILY by far, the worst stay i’ve ever had. I’d recomend everyone to stay far away from this hotel, and IGH hotels in general. This is a pathetic excuse for a business.
