  Avoid like plague

  I stayed at Oba Star Hotel for 12 days and unfortunately I would not recommend staying here.There are some positives. The location is good and some of the staff working in the restaurant from breakfast until closing are genuinely hardworking and are the real stars of this hotel. You can clearly see they are overworked but still trying their best every day.However, the overall experience was disappointing.One thing I noticed very quickly was the difference in treatment depending on nationality. If you are Turkish, Polish, or German, you seem to receive much better service. Drinks are delivered to your table and requests are handled quickly. If you mainly speak English, expect a very different experience. I am not English myself, but I still felt ignored most of the time.There is a lady sitting near the restaurant entrance/reception area whose role I honestly could not understand. She never seemed to manage seating or help guests find tables. Several times I had to leave my food on the trolley because there were no available tables and nobody helped organise the restaurant properly.The drink service was also extremely poor. Most of the time it felt like one person was left to serve the entire restaurant and bar area while other staff stood around instead of helping. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink was normal, which is ridiculous for an all-inclusive hotel.The food was average at best and became repetitive very quickly. It felt like leftovers from Turkish night were reused the next day. After a few days the menu was basically the same every day.My room faced the small pool area where the air conditioning fans are located. The noise was terrible and made sleeping difficult. I asked to move rooms and was told the hotel was fully booked, yet I checked Booking.com and rooms were still available. The TV also had a bright standby light that stayed on all night and became very annoying.Another major issue was security. I left a small amount of money in the room and it disappeared. When I reported it, instead of taking the complaint seriously I was told, “next time don’t leave money in the room.”The bar service was also disappointing. Drinks were clearly watered down and if you asked for a double, you still received what looked like a small single measure. Mixers regularly ran out around 10pm, leaving guests with very limited choices.The entertainment team was poor and repetitive. It was basically the same activities every day: beer pong, gym sessions, and entertainment only a few times a week. Honestly, the hotel could save money by reducing this team and investing more into customer service and restaurant organisation.Overall, after only one day I already started seeing red flags. If I could have moved hotels, I would have done it immediately. It’s a shame because the hotel has potential, but the unequal treatment of guests, poor organisation, repetitive food, room issues, and weak customer service completely ruined the experience for me.

  This has got to be the best holiday I have ever had. Staff are very polite and friendly. Food was simple amazing and non stop. Round the clock food and drinks.   I’ll start with the Negatives: it is nearly 3.5 hour transfer from Antalya Airport as shuttle bus with pit stops as well as dropping other families off at other hotels. However - My partner and I enjoyed every single thing about this hotel. Entertainment was top notch from daily activities to entertainment in the evening. Not sure if his name was Azim but he was amazing. Good craic and my partner really enjoyed the darts and cocktail pong as well whilst I enjoyed laying in the sun. Your less than a 5 minute walk from the beach, staff very friendly and food was lovely (for an all inclusive In a bit weary of the food) but I can honestly say it really exceeded my expectations. Sun didn’t come out til around 9.30am by the pool as building was blocking it however people headed to the beach and came to the hotel in the afternoon so there were no sunbed wars. Although, I wish my boyfriend and I said something about the room as we had no balcony but it was okay as it was May and a bit chilly in the evening anyway. Room was spotless every day. We just had a fantastic time, and if you’re looking for a relaxing time in Türkiye defo book here.   This place is amazing it's a 4 star hotel the staff are very friendly and helpful especially memet the bar man ,Ali and yasut the entertainment man there is live music and entertainment every night and games during the day to play ,killer darts,ping-pong cocktail and table tennis there is also a gym,massage parlor which is very cheap I got a full body scrub,sauna,bubbles all over my body,turkish bath ,a face pack and massage only 45 euros, there are 3 swimming pools,a pool bar serving food if you don't want to eat in the big restaurant.   Very disappointing experience.

  Very disappointing experience.After returning home, I discovered that several personal belongings were missing from our hotel room. The items were left on the bedside cabinet next to the bed, inside a private room that was only accessed by me, my friend, and housekeeping staff during our stay.What disappointed me the most was the hotel’s response. Instead of seriously addressing the situation, I received a message suggesting that guests should use the safe box. Am I really expected to store clothes, a hat, and gifts for family members inside a hotel safe?I understand that hotels may not take responsibility for every situation, but I expected professionalism, empathy, and genuine interest in investigating the matter. Unfortunately, the response felt more focused on avoiding responsibility than helping a guest.Very upsetting experience and not the level of customer care I expected.
