    hotel with a park view

We stayed here for three weeks, Overall, my stay at the hotel was good. The staffs were attentive, my room was comfortable, and the amenities were great. However, the breakfast variety was a bit lacking. While the quality was good, there weren't as many options as I would have liked. Despite this, I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to others. Direzione Staff, Marketing at Hotel Rex Milano, responded to this review Good morning and thank you for being our welcome guest and for your valuable review. obviously it will be a pleasure to host you again whenever you want. Reception staff was rude and non-cooperative. There were no changes in the breakfast buffet. TV in the room was poor quality CRT. Housekeeping forgot re-stocking towels and soaps, when informed, they asked to come down to the reception to collect it.

Nice stay - would recommend it

We spent two nights at this hotel. The location was very convenient. Metro station called Corvetto is not far away, about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. You could take a public bus to metro station if you prefer. Ask for the map on reception and they will give you great tips for public transport with the map. From Corvetto you take yellow line M3 that will take you directly to Duomo (six stops). Also, there's a supermarket nearby (5min walk in direction of metro station) and few smaller shops and a couple of restaurants (all on the same street as the hotel). It gets a big PLUS from us for location. The hotel used to be an apartment building that is now converted into a hotel. Hotel is average looking but rooms and bathrooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious, with high ceilings. For us, that was a pleasant surprise. Iven bed was big and comfy and we got a good night sleep. But expect sharing covers and blanket or ask for separate. I guess it would not be a problem for them to give you. Some rooms have a balcony and some don’t. There is tv, a fridge and a safe in the room if you need one. The bathroom is equipt with a hairdryer but it is very weak. The receptionist was very polite as were the staff that organized the breakfast and served coffee and tee. Breakfast was average. Continental breakfast with the Italian twist - almost everything is sweet. You must try croissants cause they are the best and they disappear fast. ;) The breakfast was a bit too early for us - from 7 AM to 8 AM considering we are on holiday. All in all, we liked this hotel and would recommend it.

The best place in town for a traveller

Its in a correct distance to catch the metro and restaurants. Mostly I like the hotel and the staff. I like them. Most of all the elderly gentleman. I travelled with a group of my friends and he intelligently placed the guests in correct placings of the rooms. Segregated bachelors with family and knew what to speak and welcome us, great. Wonderful gentleman.

    Nothing special

    rating25 Sept 2016

We booked last-minute a double room and were given the last available room which was a family room with single beds. Fortunately, we were able to put the beds together. The room was very basic but for the price paid, OK. I would rather give it a 2 stars. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was basic and not very nice. The coffee and fresh made chocolate milk were good though.
