I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere

    rating02 May 2026

This hotel is a perfect example of how a beautiful location can’t compensate for completely unacceptable standards.Yes, the setting and landscaping are stunning — but that is where the positives end.The breakfast is a disgrace. Basic items like bread were not even available, and when I asked staff, the wait was so long that I gave up and left to eat elsewhere. This is not a one-off inconvenience — it reflects a complete lack of organization and care.Dinner is even worse. They charge €25 per person for a buffet that is frankly disgusting. Low-quality, poorly prepared food that is nowhere near worth the price. For the same money, you can eat fresh, high-quality meals in local restaurants — which I strongly recommend instead. The gym is absolutely shocking and should not be open to guests. Rusty, poorly maintained equipment that looks unsafe to use. It feels more like an abandoned facility than a hotel gym. This is a serious health and safety concern.Staff are unhelpful and clearly not trained. Reception didn’t even know where the gym was, and one staff member told me I needed my passport to access it — completely absurd and unprofessional.Overall, this place is severely mismanaged and not worth your time or money. Aside from the view, everything about this hotel is disappointing. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere

    Beautiful hotel

    rating18 Apr 2026

The hotel/resort was so lovely. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the room. The cleanest hotel i have ever stayed in abroad. We went low season so a lot closed on the resort, however, was still very welcoming and pools were lovely. The only downfall if you can call it that the only restaurant that was open wasn't that great, felt very school canteen and I didnt like the look of a lot of the food (personal preference no reflection on quality of food as husband enjoyed it) in terrasini there are some lovely restaurants and all reasonably priced. I would recommend hiring a car though which you can do via the hotel as much easier and cheaper to get around. Sara Spedicato, Marketing at CDSHotels Terrasini - Citta del Mare, responded to this review Dear Cheryl, thank you for sharing your lovely feedback following your stay at CDSHotels Terrasini – Città del Mare. We are truly pleased to read how much you appreciated the beauty of the resort and, above all, the high standards of cleanliness, which are a priority for us and something we are very proud of.We are also glad that you enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, even during the low season, as well as our pools and the overall setting. As communicated on our official channels and booking documentation, some services may be limited during this period. We appreciate your feedback regarding the restaurant and will share your comments with the team, while we are happy to know that your husband enjoyed the meals.Thank you for recommending our resort and for your helpful tips about exploring the area. We hope to welcome you again soon for another pleasant stay.Kind regards

Awful and expensive stay at CDS Hotels Citta del Mare, Terrasini

    rating28 Dec 2025

We were a family of 10 arriving 15.08.25. Feragusta. The resort was packed and understaffed. We had to queue to go into the dining areas which were filthy: stacks of uncleared used plates, food on the floors and what food there was poor. My Italian husband had told our family to expect wonderful food in Italy and it was shameful on a country known for great eating. As a result we ate lunch every day in a beach restaurant which was good, and each evening we took taxis into Terassini (the nearest place for restaurants) at a cost of approximately E150 each time to have diner. Although we paid for all inclusive this involved us in additional costs of approximately E3000. Also on enquiring of other guests in identical accommodation with the same number of occupants we were charged E1000 more than them.I have been unable to ascertain whether this was by the resort or Booking.com through whom we had booked. I also phoned the hotel and their reception confirmed that the lesser price was correct.I had two meetings with Gussy Vitale, the Client Facing Manager, and discussed the state of the dining areas and the resort generally, and she told me that I had to understand that many of the people using the resort were ‘mal educaato’ (badly educated) which I told her was an incredibly awful thing to say about the guests, who we found particularly nice. I have tried to get refunds from both the resort and Booking.com who sent me E200, which I grudgingly accepted as because I am elderly I found this whole matter highly stressful and unpleasant. And so I have put the matter behind me. However I would advise anyone not to use this resort, and I will not be using Booking.com again. It seems that to book directly with the resort is cheaper.

We are a group of retirees over 70, visited in Sicily, Italy. We've received a shocking hotel in Palermo - a youth hostel in our opinion, not suitable for our age to get to the room, we have to walk more than a kilometer, with luggage and climb stairs, we did not receive blankets and at night it was very cold, and the air conditioner did not work. The mattress is very hard and not suitable for sleeping, without any minimum equipment of even half a star. The food was terrible
