  Royal Garden Beach Hotel – Mixed Experience, Great for Families

  Royal Garden Beach is a beautiful hotel with a nice private beach and good all-inclusive facilities. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, the spa sales representatives were overly aggressive when trying to sell treatments, which became a bit uncomfortable at times.Unfortunately, we experienced several problems with our original room (Premium Room 2314), which eventually resulted in a room change after three nights. I reported a strong moldy smell in the room already on the first evening, but nothing was done about it. The hairdryer in the room also literally overheated and started melting in my hand. Even that issue was only addressed after I reported it to reception four separate times.After three nights, the wallpaper started peeling off the walls, revealing a significant amount of mold underneath. My child had a runny nose from the very first night, which disappeared after we moved to another room. Once we were relocated, all of the problems disappeared immediately. The new room smelled fresh, and we had no further issues during the rest of our stay.What was particularly disappointing was that during our stay, the hotel simply glued the wallpaper back onto the walls in Room 2314, but the underlying mold problem itself did not appear to be addressed. For that reason, I would strongly recommend avoiding Room 2314.Despite the serious issues with our first room and the lack of response from the staff regarding those concerns, the hotel itself has many positive qualities. The beach is excellent, the food selection is good, and there are plenty of activities for children.If the room issue had been handled properly from the beginning, this review would have been much more positive.   Good hotel overall, but some disappointing experiences

  We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of May. We were a group of three staying in a family room in the main building. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was done thoroughly every day. The air conditioning worked very well, and the minibar was refilled daily. Unfortunately, the shower cabin doors did not close properly and leaked water, which caused quite a lot of water to collect on the bathroom floor. The hotel area itself is not very large, but it is very well maintained and beautiful, with a direct path leading to the beach.The food during breakfast, lunch, and dinner was varied and tasty. Every day we would find at least a few new dishes, although many meals started repeating throughout the stay. The food at the pool bar was almost the same every day and lacked variety. The fruit selection was also somewhat limited. Ice cream at the pool bar was given out randomly for about half an hour during the day, with no information about the exact time, and afterward the freezer would simply be locked and moved away. In the evenings, there was no snack bar open at all.The quality of the cocktails depended heavily on the bartender. Some bartenders really put effort into making them, while others seemed less interested. For example, cocktails at the pool bar felt much more rushed compared to the lobby bar, for reasons that were unclear. Speed seemed to be prioritized over quality, even when there were not many people waiting. Overall, the service was pleasant, the bartenders were friendly, and one of them even spoke Lithuanian!Unfortunately, the season had not fully started yet when we visited the hotel, so there were not many guests. In one way this was a positive thing, because it was always easy to find free sunbeds and the hotel never felt overcrowded. However, this was probably also the reason why the evening entertainment was very weak or sometimes nonexistent - usually there was just music playing and nothing else.There were very few activities available: darts, shooting, and dance sessions. There was also beach volleyball, but nobody organized any games. Communication was lacking overall. It would have been much better if there had been a clear schedule somewhere saying things like “shooting at this time” or “dance session at that time,” because if you were not near the pool or pool bar at the exact moment they invited people, you would completely miss the activities.The biggest negative experience was with an employee who offered us a free ride to a leather clothing store in Alanya. When we asked whether we would also be able to visit other shops and not only the one he recommended, he assured us that we would have as much free time as we wanted and that the driver would wait for us. He also said the driver would speak English. In reality, the driver spoke neither English nor Russian. We agreed to go, and in the evening we were taken to a store with outrageously high prices, where the sellers became irritated when we tried negotiating for a reasonable price - but that is another story. After buying something, we asked if we could now visit other shops, but we were told very strictly: “No, your driver is waiting, go back to the hotel.” Maybe it was partly our fault for agreeing to go, but lying just to make a sale left a very bad impression. For example, you can get fresh ice cream in our patisserie from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. Ice cream bars are available at the pool bar from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our staff, the room and the cleaning. Regarding the leaking water from the shower, you could have informed our guest services or reception at any time.   the hotel is amazing, the food is delicious, the drinks are nice. there's fun avtivities like pools, a waterpark, a game room, etc. the environment is overall great, very fun and very clean. the staff and service are very nice. definitely recommended.
