    Great quiet location easy access to beach and old town

    This is my 2nd time in Antalya and first at Suites Laguna. I picked the location as I was having eye surgery at Era Goz a couple blocks away and im glad I did. Location is nice being only a couple blocks up from the ocean and an easy 20 minute walk to old town. Hotel has a number of resturants within walking distance and was very save anytime of day. Location also has a number of markets within minutes for supplies. Hotel was going through some off season updates and was not very busy but that also made it quiet. You can Uber in Antalya and there is a taxi rank outside the hotel. Airport is around 20 minutes away and between $12 and $15 dollars in Uber. Value 5/5 Quality 4/5 Breakfast 4/5 Room 4/5

    Fab hotel for the price . Big room with all facilities you need . Towels changed regularly and fresh water bottles in room. Breakfast was good too . You can also book for lunch and / or dinner which all looked lovely . Pool and sunbeds were an added bonus and were never busy. The room wasn’t the cleanest I’ve been in but for the price the hotel was great valueIt’s close to lots of lovely local restaurants and shops and 10 minutes to the beach

    Came here as I saw it had a good rating on Booking.com.Positives -On arrival, a very helpful and nice man was on reception, unfortunately we have not seen him since.Nice room.Comfortable bed.Nice shower.Room tidied every day.Friendly staff in Breakfast room.10 minute walk to the sea front.Excellent cafe/restaurant at the end of the road near the sea.The taxi service from the airport was excellent.30 minutes walk to Hadrians Gate and into the old town, very picturesque.Negatives-The lady on reception needs some customer service training and learn how to smile, does not make any effort to say please or thank you.Some options on booking.com site unavailable, no bicycle hire as advertised and pool was empty as in, no water.Breakfast is very basic and a very limited choice, usually scrambled eggs and bread. No fruit this morning, yesterday 3 tangerines all that were well past their best so could only eat 1 of them.Have had to go out and buy fruit to keep in our room.Call to prayer just next to the hotel, which wakes you up every morning before sunrise so very early.Dogs barking outside at night, which might wake you up if a light sleeper.Place is a little dated, things hanging off wall like the card holder for your room to operate the electric supply. Fridge does not work that well, don't rely on.Some shops overcharge, the price can change dramatically from one shop to another just for bananas.Cheap and cheerful, will probably stay somewhere different next time.

    Having arrived in Antalya we have experienced the warmth and helpfulness of the Turkish people. The Corner Coffeehouse where two young girls and a mature gentleman made us feel welcome, the Tourist office gent who not only guided us how to use the Antalya kart machine but followed us to ensure we got our pass and the elderly gent who made us laugh while he served our lunch at a market stall.Unfortunately at the Laguna Hotel our experience has been awful. My wife chose chicken and rice for her evening meal on Monday night and suffered a great deal of discomfort when something lodged in her throat. I asked the waiter for a glass of water to help relieve her problem. He refused a glass and insisted I buy a bottle of water. At no time did he show any concern for my 75 year old great grandmother and wife. With that I took an empty glass, went up to our room on the 7th floor, filled the glass from the bathroom sink and returned to my wife to help her wash down whatever was stuck. Later the waiter could not understand why I was annoyed with him, I told him I would make a complaint to which he said "it's not my problem"At reception I asked to make a complaint, which resulted in the receptionist rushing to the waiter and after a brief conversation he thrust a bottle of water into her hand. She passed it to me but I did not accept it as the need had passed. She then offered a cup of water which I also refused and reaffirmed that I wanted to raise a complaint. In response she advised me she was German and did not speak English and turned her back on me and walked off.Now I believe that employees reflect the wishes of their employers so I conclude that - the waiter had been told to sell water and not give it away - and the receptionist had been told to ensure no one made a complaint.Heaven help the poor sole who gets into difficulty in their swimming pool and gets offered a life belt at a price.
