OHHHHHH YEEEAAAHHH! LOVE THIS PLACE!...Turkemn Tree Houses AND Olympos!

    rating28 Dec 2021

i had an amazing peaceful and educational experience...i left feeling physically and spiritually recharged! firstly, Olympos IS a place not to be missed! breath taking views, beautiful white limestone Roman ruins nestled picturesquely between tall limestone mountains, pristine clean air, thick lush forest and rejuvenating turquoise beaches/water...much more than i expected! then add Turkmen Tree Houses. i pulled in late at night and couldnt see much from the road side, i entered the grounds to find a vast organic orange orchard, lots of sweet cats, a few chickens, and beautiful natural wood structures...clean and neat. i was immediately offered a meal, which was part of the per day price. the food was excellent! i had beef shish kabab, veggies, fresh bread, and amazing perfect textured rice...i knew i had found a gem! after dinner i was walked through the orange orchards and taken to my room by Derya one of the staff, she was polite and smiled alot. when she opened the door, a smile immediately rolled over my travel weary eyes. the room was well lit, spotless clean, natural stained wood floors, walls, and even ceiling, the bed coverings were bright white, fresh and not dusty from being left vacant for too long , the duvet was fluffy and welcoming, ...pillows too. Derya, checked to make sure i had everything i needed and that everything worked properly before leaving, without lingering for a tip, which she definitely received later. on the back wall by the bed was a large window and a door leading to a balcony with exquisite orchard and mountain views! needless to say,...i slept VERY WELL. " )...and i greatly needed it.the next day, i woke to a freshly prepared all organic turkish breakfast, also part of the per day cost! i went out for a stroll into the Roman ruins and then to the beach where i walked under a natural stone arch to find a perfect beach. after a short walk, i sat for a cup of coffee and a full recharge from the beautiful sound of the turquoise sea! upon my return to Turkmen tree houses, i was greeted not only by some very sweet cats but also by smiling staff and the owner Hamdi and his daughter. i was offered more food than i could eat, all of which was fresh, especially the chicken, right from their property! i love to eat and i know a good meal when i have one...this was well prepared and definitely FRESH, juicy and tasty! i hated to leave and cant wait to return. before catching a taxi back to the top of the mountain (bus stop) Hamdi and i talked about Turkish traditions and he excitedly shared with me many of the traditional plants and remedies he grew up with, he even gave me samples of the plants in case i ever needed them elsewhere...very kind and happy fellow. as i was leaving, Hamdi requested i take some ripe "Washington" oranges from his trees, they were as expected...DEEEELIIIICIOUUUSSS! " )THANK YOU GUYS FOR MY MEMORABLE VISIT! and see you again! oh and for you climbers and trekkers...challenging hikes and easy walks and a 2 min walk from Turkmen are a multitude of climbing routes and rappelling, caves and high mountains with Fresh clean air! Turkmen Tree Houses and Olympos...are a must visit! sincerely, plan for a few more days than you originally expected because likely, you will want to stay longer! i was a solo traveler but it is perfect for families and romantic get aways! i noticed a couple unhappy reviews after writing this...i am shocked really because as i said and experienced, everything was memorable and perfect. hey everyone has an off day,...staff and guests included! " ) and maybe? they shaped up due to these few reviews or maybe these are difficult guests? i travel 6 months a year and meet many travelers and sadly, there are plenty of miserable travelers who couldnt be pleased no matter what the circumstances...sad really...its supposed to be a holiday folks! Turkmen tree house

    rating28 Sept 2019

We went to this (hostel) in September this year with friends. To put it mildly this is a place for backpacking. We stayed for ten days around seven too many for our liking The staff were friendly and busy all the time. Turkmen treehouse is in the middle of nowhere but it does have spectacular views.(Food) Meals are served outside and providing you like bog standard bland local food then it’s okay with flys ( accommodation)We stayed in what was described as a luxury bungalow I would hate to think what a normal bungalow is like inside the high light of the room was the fact the air conditioning worked.(Accessibility )This place is definitely not disabled friendly in fact I didn’t see any flat ground in the whole place. There are some ruins locally on the way to the beach that is around half a mile away and there is a charge to get to it in short if you want to get away from it all don’t care about food accommodation and don’t mind being woken up by the local wildlife and are able bodied and under thirty then this might be okay for you if not don’t bother

One of 'tree house' concept hotel in area. Rooms are just ok. Foods are ok but not special. Staff is helpfull but management is like an amateur. Price is slighly cheaper when you compare with others. Other similar places have better atmosphere especially at night time. Good for families with children.

    Wasting time and money

    rating25 Sept 2018

We came here 2 couples with our friend recommendation and we are here at the moment and it is a big disappointment. We are staying in the "luxury room" at the moment not a tree house and I am still looking for the luxury part! I am not really looking for a luxury this is the way they call tbeir rooms, regular and luxury and for us it seems like there is no difference at all.In rooms: No mosquito nets on tbe windows so we can not open them and we don't like turning on the AC and the weather is little chilled and cool, very nice outside. No hangers at all in the room and tbat's all.I think we are in the B block and if you stay in the next most probably you will not be able to sleep because of water pump noise outside.Let me say there is nothing in tje room worth to room price except the air condition maybe but we don't need it at this season.Food was omay but not that good, it was a simple mom's kind of meal but still wasn't delicious, chicken and salad buffet was good.If you will come to Olympos stat in Bayram's Pension, I went there tonight and atmosphere is still good and at least they have a bar inside. We didn't like this place at all, it was a bad choice of recommendation.
