Don't waste your money. Hotel Woxxie should be renamed poxy.

    rating11 Oct 2022

Having spent 11 nights in this Hotel was the worst experience one could wish for. Trying to get through to reception from the start that we were more than unhappy with the whole situation. Filthy room we even bought our own bleach to try and clean as best we could. Fridge was dirty, broken, shower was disgusting, outside terrace chair broken. The bridge over swimming pool broken with screws hanging out. Slide was not available. Language was a barrier, no English hardly spoken oir complaints fell on deaf ears. After waiting for reply on letter sent waited 2 months for reply. Letter from Woxxie was in denial of what actually went on. I was told that on the beach had no knowledge of our complaint so the matter closed although our rep said Atik Travel operations knew about it as he had reported to them. Hopefully this hotel will not be sold to others as no one deserves to be treated the way we were.On the beach/love holidays should think very carefully about selling this hotel on their sites.

Reception Staff and Reception:Right from the start of our stay, the staff were unfriendly most of the time and we couln't even distinguish them from the guests as they had no uniforms or name badges. At first, we thought the bellboy was a stranger trying to steal our bags as he had no uniform and was wearing jeans and a stained t-shirt. The reception looked very antiquated and dirty, which set the scene for our stay. The receptionists are rude and discourteous and don't want to deal with any queries or complaints guests may have. When you ask something of them, they dismiss it and don't deal with it. They didn't provide us with towels during the dead of summer when it was very hot and people were swimming and showering daily. There were four of us in our room and they only gave us towels after asking for them 3 or 4 times. The receptionist said that we were asking too many times, but having towels is a basic necessity, especially in the weather we stayed in.Bar Staff: The bartenders were unpleasant and tried to discourage you from having alcohol. The bars themselves had very limited options given it was all inclusive and they were all clearly in need of a makeover; you could see loose wood falling apart, exposed barraels, and they were generally very unhygienic and dirty. They also serve drinks in tiny paper cups that hold barely any drink, unless you specify to them that you want a bigger cup. They advertise having 5 bars, but in reality there are only 3 as the pool bar doubles up as the restaurant bar and the beach bar is barely even a bar as they only serve wine, beer, and Pepsi and the bar is delapidated. The bars often run out of basic drinks such as Pepsi and vodka with no alternatives. There are also no cocktails, as was advertised.Breakfast and Restaurant Staff:The restaurant is very grubby and dirty and has tablecloths that haven't been changed for sometimes more than a day and if you move the trolleys storing food, you will see food that has been left on the floor for days and hasn't been cleaned. They deliberately set up tables for 4 people with cutlery for only 2 people, and sometimes they don't even set it up at all and expect you to set the table yourself. During breakfast, staff members can be seen eating what little food there is in front of guests on the same tables as guests and at the same time as guests. Breakfast is extremely limited and the only food there is is watery scrambled eggs; sliced tomato with melted cheese on top (which is normally cold); chips that are only hot if you're there immediately as breakfast starts; a poor selection of plasticy cheeses and hams; stale bread from the dinner before; hard boiled eggs which have green inners (meaning they are massively overcooked) and a limited selection of cereal. They don't even serve yoghurt, fruit salads, or basic pastries such as Danishes and croissants. There is coffee offered at breakfast, but the coffee machines never work as they haven't been cleaned in months, and the few times we did have it, it tasted repulsive.Lunch and Dinner: For lunch, there were 2 or 3 hot dishes available, but when you got them they were never actually hot as the dishes they were in weren't heated at all. They serve leftover salads from lunch at dinner and sometimes even leftover salads from dinner for breakfast the day after. There were seemingly randomly selected desserts which were cheap, tasteless, and brought in bulk and not actually made at the hotel. They also offered melon and watermelon every single day for dinner and lunch (but not even at breakfast) and they were usually brusied and tasted as if they were days old. At dinner, they did have a chef making kebabs some days, but they were very dry, had no sauces, and were made of chicken instead of lamb as lamb would supposedly be too expensive for them to buy and cook. Service/Room:Upon checking in, our room was not ready and we had to wait half an hour (we arrived at 15:30, multiple hours after check out had closed). When we were given our room key we found out that the pillows were stained and had no pillowcases on them and our room was clearly meant to sleep 2 but they squeezed the four of us in a small room. Someone had to sleep on a sofa bed that wasn't even made on our arrival and they couldn't sleep on an actual bed. There were no towels, and even after asking reception a few times, we still didn't get them until quite late in the day. They only properly serviced our room once during a 12 day stay, and even then we had to ask for it. Our bedsheets were also only changed once during our entire stay. The bathroom had certainly seen better days as the sink and taps were both stained and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned before. The room was visibly dirty as it had not been properly sweeped or mopped; the skirting board on one of the walls had completely broken off: the sink was constantly blocking throughout our stay and there were holes on both walls near the balcony. The balcony only had 2 chairs, further proving that our room was designed to accommodate 2 people and not 4. We payed extra to have a nice sea view, but the view was limited due to the room being set back from the beach as there was a roof terrace blocking the way.Public Areas: The swimming pool itself is actually pretty pleasant, especially if you are a family with kids, but in the afternoon it can get very overcrowded. The beach loungers are mostly broken and uncomfortable and the foam protectors that you put on top of them are old, stained, and unhygienic, and need throwing away and replacing. The poolside view was atrocious as there was old furniture (including toilet seats) that had been thrown into nearby bushes and the smell as you walked past them was repugnant. There must also be a sewage problem with the hotel as you can smell sewage walking down the steep hill on your way to the beach, which is actually a good 5 minute walk away, not 100m away as was advertised. The beach itself is very small, has black sand, and is worn out because people have walked over every bit of it due to it being so small. The private beach next door to us looks nice; is more spacious and has beach volleyball, however this. of course, doesn't belong to Woxxie and if you try to go there, a staff member from the hotel that owns it will hound you until you get off.False Advertisement:Multiple third parties show that the hotel has 5 bars, a TV lounge, currency exchange and a bike hire. These weren't at the hotel, and the so-called multilingual staff speak Turkish and very limited English which is hard to understand as Brits. They say there is free parking, and whilst this is true, it is very limited and you'll struggle to find parking.Lounge:We had a flight that left very late at night and so we checked out of the room at 12:30pm and had to wait in the main lounge for 7 hours. The lounge was very small and consisted of only 3 sofas and 3 tables. There were 2 charging ports available, but none of them worked with any devices. The staff only let us know that you could still drink in the bar after check-out 10 minutes before our shuttle was supposed to leave, which wasn't helpful at all. The WiFi at the lounge was actually good, however the WiFi in the room only worked intermittently. When it did work, the connection wasn't very strong. The WiFi also didn't work at all in the restaurant, although this is fine for most people.Lack of Preparation:During our stay, a thunderstorm came and went and lasted about an hour, knocking out all electrics and water for the rest of that day. Even when small neighbouring houses had power, this hotel had none. The hotel is running way above capacity and it can't handle the amount of people that stay there. The bar was often full, on many occasions there were no plates and not enough cutlery at the restaurant and every time a bus load of passengers arrrived, there would never be enough space in the restaurant or bar and people can be seen scrambling for seats. Conclusion:This is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. It can barely even be called all inclusive, there are no drinks, service is abysmal when it even takes place and the staff have no standards and just want to get their shift done. The staff also seem very overworked and we saw the same staff every day of our almost 2 week long trip. They don't even try and speak to you or be friendly to you. They seem to try and maximise profits by serving customers cheap, rubbish food, not doing kaundry and not even providing uniform for staff.

    Avoid Avoid Avoid

This is quite simply the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed This is the worst hotel we’ve every stayed at, do not book this hotel. We booked through Love Holidays for 10 nights all inclusive. Advertised as a 4* but don’t feel this Hotel should be operating at all.Firstly the rooms are so dirty. We upgraded to a superior room with sea view. Our first room had broken air conditioning and broken fridge and only after arguing and creating a scene were we moved to another. The air con and fridge worked however the room was filthy dirty with dust and bathroom grime. Broken flooring, damp walls and stains all over. The shower should of had an air vent but instead was covered by a plastic bag. If removed you can be seen from rooms across the road! The shower door looked like it had never been cleaned and was covered in limescale. The cleaner only appeared to make the beds and we witnessed rubbish, plates and glasses left throughout the corridors for days. The food at this hotel is very very bad, I’m willing to give most things a try but honestly couldn’t even tell you what was being served, nothing is labelled and flies everywhere. The grill used to cook to order is black with grime and soot from previous meals and is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything served is covered with the chard remains of previous meals. No ice cream was available and the all inclusive drinks are basic, beer, bad wine, vodka and soft drinks. Water is provided in small plastic cartons like we’re 5yrs old.The hygiene throughout the hotel is honestly shocking. The staff covered in sweat, no gloves or hairnets in the kitchen and clothes so dirty. The table clothes are filthy and not changed between diners, just swept with a mini dust pan and brush. We we horrified to witness the cleaners cupboard looking like a scene from a horror film! We witness a boy being ill across the restaurant floor and the cleaner just slosh it around with a dirty mop and walking away :(The pool and slides were good fun, my son had a blast here and made friends, however be careful. The area around the pool is very slippery and we saw many people slip and fall. The lifeguard at the top of the slides is more interested in his mobile phone than the safety of the children hurling themselves down the slides.A large number of sun beds were broken, not enough seating on the terrace and lounge area chairs look ready to fall apart held together with glue and random screws. The private beach area is shocking, dirty beach, not enough beds and the ones that are available are rusted and ready for the bin, broken sunshades and very dirty bar area. The last straw for us was when we visited the spa area. We were shocked to find crumbling walls and floors full of broken plaster, a huge pile of bird droppings below a nest left for ages, broken lights, soaking wet slimy floor and the worst smell of urine ever.At this point we checked ourselves out of the hotel and moved elsewhere. We ending up spending more than the original cost of the holiday to get away from this absolute shocking hell hole.DO NOT book this hotel, you will regret it if you do.
