  Hotel could do better!

  The relaxing holiday that should have been! An honest & fair review, & some things need to be said! There are many fake untrue reviews on here!We were at the Azure by Yelken for two weeks in early October. A very unexpectedly busy period! The weather, was amazing, sunny & warm, a fantastic 24C most days. Just perfect. It has a nice location with views across to Kalymnos. The basics of the hotel are there. Rooms are nice, very comfortable beds, & have exceptional bathrooms. The WiFi is good. The common areas are comfortable & stylish. Pools are great to swim in. Staff are ok but speak very little English. The all inclusive drinks were nice. The Guest relations lady, Ozlem, was extremely pleasant to us, which was greatly appreciated.The downsides were mainly Noise & Behavior. We enjoy peace & quiet, so found the loud music at the main pool unacceptable (this affected our room also). Sorry but we don't want crap loud Europop stuffed constantly down our throats day after day thank you! The hotel accepts large groups from East Europe/Russia, some of whom were incredibly noisy, selfish, & foul mannered, throughout the hotel during our stay, which annoyed us intensely. They also accepted many guests from neighbouring hotels which decided to close early or had cash flow problems (My Ella). This didn't help things. Cleanliness could be improved particularly around the second pool.Having fun & enjoying yourself on holiday is a given, but rude obnoxious behaviour is not. I don't know whether any Code of Conduct exists for the hotel, but it should do & it needs to..!! The Restaurant was a big disappointment. Zero dress code, beach shorts & singlets acceptable at evening dinner. Loud drunk East Europeans shouting loudly at each other, cats everywhere, & jumping on dining tables, poor acoustics, food unappetising & cold, & waiters tipping food waste into waste trolleys right in front of guests trying to eat, that should never happen! Whenever I go to a Turkish market there are spice stalls selling every conceivable flavour known to man, yet food in these hotels is incredibly dull & flavourless! It doesn't make sense does it! There are not enough Coffee machines for the morning rush & they are so slow! Salads & fresh bread were good, but there was no ice cream available in the restaurant. Sorry but that is not the five star experience we were expecting!We had maintenance issues with the room, however most were rectified quickly & efficiently except the air conditioning which never ever worked, we could have moved rooms but wanted to keep the seaview which we had paid extra for! When you stay for two weeks, you notice these things! Fully appreciate that staff work hard & hopefully try their best, but we paid good money & had looked forward to a quiet high quality end of season break, but the noise & poor behaviour of other guests spoilt it for us. A great shame really as the hotel could do so much better. As experienced travellers we do take the good with the bad. Most of these issues fall on management. We can also do better, & as there are many other hotels out there, next year we'll be finding them & won't be visiting Turkey again for a while.

  End of season boredom

  Let me just say this hotel isn’t a bad hotel. it’s just October and everything was closed no entertainment whatsoever..food repetitive. Always cold.Best thing about this hotel was the staff.Erra always had a smile on her face. Wherever she worked.. Lobby bar was good and served good drinksBeach good. Get little fishes biting at your feet..Got bored after day three.Rooms good and cleaned wellWould probably come back, just not in low season

  Back after 20 years – a special holiday filled with memories ??

  A Special Return After 20 Years ??Returning to this hotel after 20 years was a very special experience for me. Just like the first time, I was here with my mother, which made this visit even more meaningful. It was lovely to return to a place that holds special memories for both of us and to create new ones together.Food and AccommodationThe food offered plenty of variety and a wide choice throughout our stay, with something to suit different tastes. It was nice to have so many options available.The rooms were comfortable and provided a pleasant place to relax after a day full of activities.Entertainment and RelaxationThere was plenty to enjoy during our stay, including karaoke, shows and live music. These activities added to the holiday atmosphere and gave us something different to look forward to in the evenings.We also enjoyed some relaxing treatments, including a massage and a facial mask, which gave us a chance to unwind and take some time for ourselves.We explored the surrounding area as well, including a boat trip and a visit to the Saturday market in Turgutreis. These outings were a lovely addition to our holiday and allowed us to experience more of the local area.Water Sports by the PierIf you enjoy water sports, it is worth checking out the activities offered right by the pier. There is a friendly water sports provider there offering various activities, including jet skiing.We had the pleasure of getting to know him during our stay, and he became one of the people who made our holiday more memorable. If you are looking for some fun on the water, why not stop by and see what he has to offer? We really enjoyed getting to know him and wish him all the best for the coming season. We hope to see him welcoming lots of happy guests when the water sports season starts again next year!The People Make the Difference ??Unfortunately, our holiday did not get off to the best start, as our originally booked hotel was closed and we unexpectedly had to stay elsewhere. This led to some confusion and inconvenience at the beginning of our trip.Despite this difficult start, there were people who made a genuinely positive impression on us. Their friendliness, enthusiasm and personal attention helped make our stay more enjoyable.Sometimes, it is the little moments and the people you meet that make the biggest difference. Certain encounters stay with you long after you have returned home, and that is something I will take away from this holiday.Returning to this hotel after 20 years, once again with my mother, made the experience particularly meaningful. We were able to revisit a place connected to our shared memories while making new ones along the way.A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our stay and made it special in their own way. ??Some places bring back memories, while the people you meet there help create new ones.

  Currently here. Hotel lovely . Clean and efficient. Staff are all helpful ,friendly and work hard .hotel is spotless ,pool and jetty area amazing ,pool bar and food area a big positive .Two things have let it down Food cold or just Luke warm at every meal ! Food should be kept hot ,it's a five star hotel , pride is in the staffs faces so the chefs need the same training ! Serve your food hot and ensure it stays hot! Second is I caught a member of the cleaning staff on their phone saying" oh these English and refering to them using the complimentary items in the rooms"! If you don't want them using why put them in the rooms. Our first time at yelken and would Definitely recommend but seriously ensure your food is served hot!The area is quiet , a shame no entertainment in the evenings ,a long walk to bars and restaurants and very dark and unlit once night falls. Been given mixed information on how safe it is to walk the coast road to the centre at night . Would return and hope to see changes.   Great hotel with beautiful views, staff were friendly bit of issues with language as not many staff understand English but still they will get someone who can help. Food is good but a bit repetitive when u staying longer, young man named Habib at the reception is very helpful and speaks good English. All in all it was a great stay.
