    Never Mend That Fence!

    My gf and me stayed here during our JB trip recently. Our room is spacious with ample furniture but some amenities are not up to par. The fridge was missing its temperature knob so we couldn’t use it at first. The ‘bidet’ was reduced to just a hose, with low water pressure to boot, and the bathtub shower with a sloping base at it’s entry was inconvenient to climb into. On the positive side, the shower had good water pressure, the room had a master control system that was sort of nifty and the smart TV had Netflix as well as Youtube installed. In addition, our window views were pretty nice and the room was quiet, something I appreciate a lot during my travels.The concierge and staff were polite and helpful to our needs, which saves this review from being a 3-star. Our request to fix the fridge temperature knob was attended to rather late that first day, but at least we were able to use the fridge after that since my gf tends to buy a lot of fruits. The price was reasonable and the location wasn’t not too bad. Walking to KSL mall by the main road would have you walking around the whole neighbourhood. However, on the second day, we discovered a hole in the fence at the hotel’s parking area that allowed us to reach the back alleyways and a shortcut to the mall. Seeing as the mall is a popular attraction for tourists, the hotel should have a proper exit to it or at least inform its guests of this shortcut without us having to discover it ourselves.

    The room felt a bit stuffy, and none of the windows could be opened. The property seems quite old, though they do appear to be trying their best to keep things in good condition. That said, the common areas like the lift lobbies and corridors had a musty, old smell.They do provide baby cots if needed, which is a plus. However, the room service was not great — during our stay, they never emptied the garbage bins in the room.We had breakfast at the property on two mornings. The spread was pretty much the same on both days, mostly featuring local Malay cuisine.The staff were average — nothing to complain about. There’s also a small convenience store located just beside the reception, which was handy.

    Serious Security Incident

    Serious safety issue at this hotel. During my stay, a man pretending to be housekeeping stood outside my room with towels and attempted to enter after taking my room key. I was shocked to later see him return to collect his phone — which had been charging at the reception. I reported the incident immediately, but the hotel failed to follow up all day and eventually rejected my request to change rooms. I was also told the man had loitered overnight in the lobby. The manager offered RM20 as compensation, which was offensive and unprofessional. Thankfully, booking platform helped resolve part of the issue. I felt completely unsafe and disappointed by how the hotel handled this serious situation.

    World Class Selfish Monster family staying at the room next to us

    Firstly check in was very manual and very slow, wasted almost half an hour of our precious time. Secondly we were given a room on the 19th floor, next to a monster selfish crazy family. The babies/children in the room directly next to us, had babies crying and screaming the whole time while also banging and storming the walls directly to our room!!! After the children have quiet down, the adults decided to switch on the TV so loudly that we can hear every single sound coming from them!!! This is really ridiculous as although this is not the hotel's fault, but they should at least build better sound quality walls, because we came here for a holiday, not to experience something that is WORLD CLASS MONSTER NIGHTMARE! Will NEVER come back again.
