  I was on a school trip, and we stayed at this hotel. It was the worst hotel I have ever been to. There were bedbugs in some of the rooms. The sewage smell was so bad that it could be noticed throughout the entire room. It was very cold inside, and the radiator didn’t work. The walls were thin. The breakfast was okay, but there was very little variety. There were two floors of stairs and no elevator, and the staircase also smelled like sewage.

  If you are looking for a budget stay, this is it, but just beware.Great location.Super kind and helpful manager/owner.Very outdated.Not super clean feeling.Our AC leaked.You can hear everything due to being super thin walls.Our bathroom smelt pretty bad when you would use the sink.Pillows were basically flat.Our room was so small we could barely move around with our luggage in the room.TV didn't work.The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and we were sore after sleeping on it.It just needs a lot of updating, maintenance, and upgrades to furniture.

  1 step up from a hostel. Room was old and tired. Pillows and duvet needs to be replaced. Didn’t feel clean. Rusted everything in the extremely small bathroom. This “hotel” 🙄 is 4 flights up with no elevator. Breakfast is fine but breakfast room is very hot. No a/c in there. Positive. IT HAS A/C!

  So my family and I are in the midst of a whirlwind trip through Northern Italy and during our stay in Florence we attempted to stay at Hotel D'Azeglio, a hotel I had booked though my Expedia account. It had good reviews, was affordable, and allowed dogs which was all we really look for in choosing a hotel. However the reality of it once we got there was pretty awful. Starting with the smell of cigarette smoke when I walked into the dank stairwell that led up to the hotel (on the 3rd floor), to the broken AC unit in our room (in 90+ degree weather), to the guests that kept smoking cigarettes outside our door (keep in mind this place is listed as a smoke free property) and ending with the fact that there is barely any electrical outlets this was truly one of the worst hotel experiences we've had in a long time. And trust me we are far from hoity toity. We actually sacrificed a night that we had already paid for (and they wouldn't refund) in order to go stay elsewhere. The only saving grace of this place is the lady that runs it was very nice, relatively apologetic (although she kept saying that she already knew about the smokers and there was nothing she could do about it) and that the breakfast food she made for us was pretty good. Perhaps we just had bad luck with this place but I feel it is my responsibility to warn people that this place will most likely not look, smell or feel like it is purported to be.

  Sweetest owner/manager from my entire europe trip

  The rooms were nice + the breakfast was good. Just a heads up that the hotel is at the second floor of the building without lift but the manager/ owner was extremely kind enough to carry both our bags of 24 kgs each to the 2nd floor. Also, he offered us to take away some breakfast otherwise i would have missed my bus.
