  Our eighth visit, our second home

  This was our eighth visit to Labranda TMT in Bodrum, and having seen some of the negative reviews, I wanted to share our experience and offer a little reassurance.Having visited so many times, we have noticed a few areas that could do with some attention compared with previous years. However, that certainly doesn’t take away from what this hotel still offers. The location is fantastic, and it remains excellent value for money. There is a reason we have returned eight times!A very special mention must go to Recep, the restaurant manager, who has been there for nine years and has been such a wonderful part of our visits. He is genuinely incredible. He always goes the extra mile, nothing is ever too much trouble, and he makes you feel truly welcome and looked after. His kindness and dedication deserve recognition, and he is a huge credit to the hotel. And family to us xEvery review is someone’s personal experience, but ours is still a very positive one. Don’t let the negative comments put you off completely. For the money, the location and wonderful people like Recep, there is still so much to enjoy here.Five stars from us, and thank you, Recep, for making our visits so special!   Not A 5star .. we ended up eating out for all meals .. uncomfortable seating .. and sunbeds .. flat drinks .. restaurant reminded us off a canteen .. should not be rated has 5 star .. rooms where clean but basic .. we ended booking in another hotel for 3 nights .. just for a break so ended up be a very expensive holiday in all .. does have a good view from sun deck, sunbeds are uncomfortable.. overall I would not book this hotel again .. was disappointed..   Definitely Not 5-Star – Very Disappointing ExperienceI honestly don’t know what criteria this resort has met to be awarded a 5-star rating, but in my opinion, it falls a long way short of what you would expect from a 5-star establishment.We previously stayed at another hotel in the Labranda chain in Marmaris, which was very good, with exceptional food, service and accommodation. That experience set our expectations for this stay in Bodrum, but sadly, this resort is very, very far from offering the same standard.The accommodation is serviceable, but tired and in need of some serious updating. Even the towels are grey rather than the fresh, white towels you would expect from a resort of this supposed standard.The food is particularly disappointing, with a very poor selection and little variety. Finding cauliflower and broccoli being served at breakfast says it all! The fruit selection is limited to grapes and apples, with no melon, pineapple or other fruit you would normally expect to find at a resort claiming to be 5-star.The presentation of the food and condiments is equally disappointing. There are no individual portions of butter; instead, guests are expected to scrape butter from a communal plate. Ketchup is served in a large bowl with a spoon rather than in individual sachets. These may seem like small details, but they reflect a lack of attention to hygiene, presentation and the overall guest experience.The alcohol selection is very poor, with little choice for a resort claiming to offer a high standard of service and facilities.Overall, this resort is nowhere near the standard I would associate with a 5-star rating. While the accommodation is adequate, the tired surroundings, disappointing food, limited drinks selection and lack of attention to basic details make the overall experience extremely underwhelming.Five stars should mean quality, choice, presentation and attention to detail. Sadly, this resort delivers none of these to the standard I would expect. Having experienced the excellent food, service and accommodation at another Labranda hotel in Marmaris, the contrast with this Bodrum resort is particularly disappointing. I would certainly question how it has achieved its 5-star status and would not recommend it to anyone booking specifically for a genuine 5-star experience.I appreciate that 5star is different in different areas and having paid £650 each wasn’t expecting luxury, however feel the 5star is disingenuous. We are eating out and have bought alcohol at the local shops to try to get some enjoyment out of our week.   Wonderful Staff Who Made Our Holiday Special!

  Lovely staff who made our holiday special!We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights and overall had a lovely holiday.   Great value for money and good location!

  Great value for money. We stayed for a week as a group of 6 (3 couples). We worked out we were paying £40 per day for all inclusive and flights etc. The food is a great mixture. It is only buffet food with a snack bar during the day at certain times. There’s also a savoury crepe stall. The drinks aren’t branded but they are fine! Overall, we’ve been happy with our stay.
