  Very disappointing stay, no improvement even after room change

  We booked an Executive Room at Aro Palace Hotel and were extremely disappointed from the very beginning.Upon arrival, our first room had a temperature of over 27°C, which could not be regulated despite reporting it multiple times to reception. A technician was promised but never showed up. It was also not possible to open the window, making the situation even more uncomfortable. Even more concerning was the visible mold in both the bathroom and the bedroom.After several complaints, we were finally offered a junior suite – unfortunately, there was no real improvement.In the second room, we found: • Broken curtains, allowing light to enter the room during the night • A lot of dust, indicating poor cleaning standards • Again, hygiene issues, which are unacceptable for a hotel of this categoryOverall, it felt like the staff acknowledged the problems but failed to resolve them properly.We cannot recommend this hotel and strongly suggest that these serious issues are addressed urgently

  Could be better, has a lot of positive aspects but looks like is a lake of interest. Definitely not a 5 star hotel

  The location of the hotel well positioned in the city center with a great view to the mountain. The room was disappointed, with dirty old carpets and chairs‘s covers with fated colors and broken.On the other side, the spa is well maintained and clean and the top floor restaurant has a great view and excellent food

  The good name of the hotel Aro Palace don't be valid of this party. Staff very slow, food medium for the value they ask for. Music was old and very poor and sonor very loud. I am sorry for the effort of staff but the party doesn't reflect that.

  Living Large … for Romania

  The Aro Palace is rated a 5-star accommodation. Not quite by Western standards … but it was very spacious: Both the lobby and the rooms are large; the Hallways on floors wide and luxury evoking. The dining area with included breakfast is also large, and the food is good. The lighting in hotel is nice. Whatever room you get, there is either a view of the park, which was decorated for Christmas when we were there, or the Old Town Square. The entrance is spare and not so inviting (you have to drop off and immediately move the vehicle). There were no tables for sitting outside (nor the space) nor smoking (not even a smoker pole). Smoking is big in Romania, like Paris, so this was surprising.Others in my group reported a funky smell in their rooms. I thought I got a whiff of the room having once been smoking allowed. Then it went away. Ahhh… the 70s. The hotel was built in the 70s and renovated in the 90s. It sort of feels like that. Lots of wood in the rooms. Plenty of space to hang clothes and coats, and there are drawers (which is rapidly becoming rare in newer hotels). There’s a nice sitting area, too. As for the shower, I needed to go to the front desk to request a colleague make the rain shower head work. He made it so water came out the shower head, but in the act of showing, I lightly hit something when making temperature hotter … and rain shower head stopped again. I needed to finish by getting under the faucet. The shower dispensers were also a mystery to me. Couldn’t get the stuff out (shower gel and shampoo, which were nothing special, not a brand name). Turns out I had to squeeze the bottle. Everyone else in my party figured it out, but the whole experience of showering left me verklempt. I would just say to lower your expectations a bit, and you’ll have a nice stay. There’s just something a little off but perfectly satisfactory hotel. Very near Old Town. Two nights are really required in Brasov.

  Great Location, Large Rooms

  We stayed here for 2 nights on a group tour after disembarking our River Cruise.We really have NO complaints , yes it doesn’t look great from the outside , but once inside very surprising for Romania. Large foyer, staff friendly , large room overlooking Citadel , breakfast adequate, everything very clean . What more could you ask for? You are barely in the hotel, we holiday to see the sights of Braşov,Great location, around the corner, many great restaurants and shopping , all very affordable compared to many countries in Europe . We wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again.
