  Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting my son. Room 305. I would not use the word ‘resort’ to describe this hotel. Our room was fine, bed and pillows were comfortable. There was no hairdryer and the phone in the room wasn’t hooked up to anything. Housekeeping in the hallway gave me one from an empty room. The hot water handle in the bathroom was extremely hard to turn likely due to hard water build up. The tub drained very slowly so when showering we were standing in water. No exhaust fan in bathroom. In the morning we went to the sit down restaurant for breakfast and they only serve black coffee. There is a coffee shop but the line was quite long and why would I go stand in line to get a cappuccino when I’m eating at the restaurant down the hall? The pool has tons of small debris from the palm trees. At first we thought they were bugs. The whole place has a feeling of ‘meh, good enough’.   Beautiful Hotel with an amazing pool!

  ⸻Our stay at Margaritaville South Padre was overall okay, with both positive aspects and some disappointments.First, I want to highlight that the staff was very friendly, and the facility is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The atmosphere around the pool area was great, and we really enjoyed the vibe of the resort.A special shout-out to Tony and Veronica at the Salty Rim pool bar — they were fantastic, welcoming, and provided excellent service during our stay.Unfortunately, the room location was very disappointing, especially considering this was our first time staying at a Margaritaville property. We were placed on the 4th floor facing the trash containers and AC units, which were making noise 24/7. The balcony was dirty and had an unpleasant smell, which made it impossible to enjoy the outdoor space.To be fair, the room itself was nice, with a comfortable bed and attractive interior design. However, the view and location of the room significantly impacted our experience, as the hotel’s main trash area was essentially right below our balcony.We did raise this concern during our stay, but unfortunately nothing was done to address it.We were originally considering extending our stay, but due to this issue we decided to move to another hotel instead.Overall, the resort has great potential thanks to its staff and beautiful facilities, but the room assignment for our first visit was quite disappointing.   nice beach and pool

  Location/Views:Nice beach location. Two different levels of stays. There are condos which don't get cleaning or trash service regularly. The condos have a nice view of the pool, and if you sit in just the right place on the balcony, you can also see the beach. The hotel rooms mostly have a nice view of the pool. The east end of the pool keeps getting sun through the afternoon and the pool is heated (thankfully!) so kids enjoyed the pool a great deal even though it was December.There is a pool-side bar and restaurant server so it is possible to get drinks and lunch by the pool. Cleanliness/Service: Our condo was clean and all hotel rooms were clean and ready for us on check-in. Our condo was missing some basic items like a can opener. Requests for a can opener via phone and at the front desk did nothing so we went and bought one. The single bartender and waiter that were pool side were not enough staff to respond to volume of guests by the pool. The restaurant was also understaffed so we were unable to order and carry to the poolside ourselves. Not sure if it was poor management or if no staff wanted to work between Christmas and New Years. General Atmosphere: A parrot club was having a large weekend party. It was out of control multiple times over the weekend (people spilling drinks all over strangers, flashing on the dance floor,...) which disturbed several members of our family get together. Though we enjoy live music and dancing, we avoided this crowd of out-of-control drinkers.   Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the north. Not the most pleasant view on our balcony. If you looked down from our balcony it was dumpsters and just work zone kind of gross. The balcony it's self was gross, the screening on it was full of dust and yuck 🤮. I had hoped for a balcony I wanted to spend time on and I never did. Otherwise the room was very clean and housekeeping did great. The shower regulator in our room was not right and should be fixed. The pool area was amazing and the bar staff was great. Having beach access was a great amenity. Overall it was a great stay and if given the opportunity we would return.
