    It Truly Feels Like Home!

    rating29 May 2026

Home Away From Home – My 4th Stay at Samara Hotel and Definitely Not the Last!I have just returned from my fourth stay at Samara Hotel, this time with my family and friends, and once again it exceeded all expectations. This is one of those rare hotels where you truly feel at home from the moment you arrive. The entire team goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, cared for, and safe. Their genuine hospitality is something that keeps bringing me back year after year. The location is excellent – only 15 minutes from the airport and around 10 minutes from Bodrum city center, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a relaxing resort atmosphere. The hotel offers two swimming pools: one dedicated to adults who are looking for peace and relaxation, and a large family pool located right next to the beautiful private beach. Whether you prefer lounging by the sea or enjoying the pool area, there is something for everyone. The food deserves special praise. Every day there is an incredible variety of fresh and delicious dishes to choose from. The quality and selection are outstanding. The snack bar is particularly impressive and far better than those in many other hotels I have visited. I also loved the fact that there is a late-night restaurant open at 11 PM, perfect for a snack after an evening of entertainment. The drinks are another highlight. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts, Samara offers not only local alcoholic beverages but also a selection of well-known international brands. Having a 24-hour bar available is a fantastic bonus. The staff are simply amazing. Every member of the team is friendly, professional, helpful, and always smiling. Their positive attitude creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. The entertainment team deserves a special mention. They are absolutely fantastic! During the day there are pool games, competitions, activities, and a mini club for children. In the evening, families can enjoy the mini disco followed by professional shows and performances that change every night. For those looking for more nightlife, there is a hotel disco, or you can join trips into Bodrum’s clubs, where a member of the entertainment team accompanies guests and ensures everyone feels comfortable and safe. The rooms are modern, tastefully decorated, and cleaned daily to a very high standard. One detail I particularly appreciate is that guests do not have to wear wristbands. It may seem small, but it creates a feeling of freedom, trust, and comfort that adds to the overall experience. After four wonderful stays, I can confidently say that Samara Hotel continues to deliver exceptional service, excellent food, fantastic entertainment, and a warm family atmosphere. I highly recommend it to couples, families, and groups of friends.I will definitely be back many more times. Thank you, Samara Hotel, for another unforgettable holiday! Totally deserving of it's 5 star rating!

    rating24 May 2026

The hotel's location is beautiful, the grounds are fantastic and the staff are amazing!I've just come back from a week staying at the Samara and would highly recommend it. The room was a great size (garden deluxe) and really clean. Each day the cleaner came to tidy up and change towels if we wanted. The food is varied and well replenished. There's always an amazing salad and fruit bar. Each lunch and dinner there are a number of fish, lamb and beef options along side the usual pasta, chips and freshly baked varieties of bread. We didn't get to try the Turkish a la carte restaurant but the fish one was really special. The view from the terrace is stunning and the service was so good. The food was delicious and we couldn't belive it was included in the all inclusive. It's a must do! FYI I had chicken for my main as I'm not a huge fish fan! There are so many bars at this resort. They offer sea front views to indoor luxury on padded sofas. The pool side bar has music during the day and the entertainment people visit the pool throughout the day, gently inviting you to play darts, do yoga, aqua gym or just to check everything is going well with your stay. They aren't pushy! All the staff we met were friendly, polite and happy to help. There were plenty of loungers... pool side, on the private beach and in the garden. If you want to have a quieter day get one on the opposite side of the pool from the bar or use one of the other two locations. We loved the spa, which you can use whenever you like, free of charge. It is owned seperately from the hotel, but in the resort. It's beautifully maintained and we treated ourselves to a massage during our stay. The prices are in line with spa prices in the UK.There's a bus which runs from the hotel to Bodrum (and back) every 20 minutes from 8:30 until midnight. It costs a whopping £1 per person each way! Much cheaper than a taxi. I don't usually visit the same hotel/ area more than once, but for this hotel I definitely will!Thank you Samara for a truely wonderful holiday 🥰 Samara Hotel, Guest Services / Front Office at Samara Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for choosing Samara Hotel for your holiday and for allowing us to be a part of your memorable experiences.Including the Samara Hotel brand in your travel plans and sharing your valuable feedback with us are greatly appreciated and help us continuously improve our service quality. We would be delighted to welcome you again in the near future and provide you with another exceptional Samara Hotel experience.Kind regards,

    What's Samara with you!

    rating10 May 2026

We stayed at the Samara Hotel for 10 days from 30th April. While the hotel is advertised as 5-star, in reality it falls well short of that standard in several key areas. To start with the positives, the hotel itself was spotless throughout our stay. Our room was exceptionally spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. I travel with my own pillow due to neck issues, but even so, the bed quality was excellent. The minibar was stocked with water, Pepsi, and Fanta, and all of the cleaning staff were genuinely lovely. Most of the general hotel staff were polite and efficient.Unfortunately, that is where much of the “5-star” experience ended. The spa representative — a man with a ponytail who guests had nicknamed “Gok Wan” — was relentlessly pushy and honestly became a nuisance. We regularly watched guests physically change direction to avoid him. A good spa team should make guests feel relaxed, not harassed. The entertainment and animation team were equally disappointing. Unless you were a young woman, you were virtually invisible to them. We repeatedly watched them ignore older guests while focusing all their attention on younger females, encouraging them to go clubbing in town. The atmosphere felt cliquey and unwelcoming rather than inclusive or professional. The food was by far the biggest let-down of the entire holiday. Calling this 5-star dining is an outrage. Meals were repetitive, bland, lukewarm at times but thankfully they had a Microwave so I was able to heat everything up, there were a couple nights I resorted to a bag of crisps. It really lacked both variety and quality. After several days it became painfully predictable. Ironically, the food on the boat trip we booked from the water sports team was vastly superior to anything served in the hotel restaurant. We always judge hotel food by how soon we start eating french-fries and pasta which was most days from the get go. Even the days & nights that the chef would do a giant wok of something there was never a veggie version which was a mare as neither of us eat prawns. The boat trip itself was one of the highlights of the holiday. The organisers were friendly, professional, and punctual. It ran from 11am–4pm exactly and cost £50 per person. While the scenery and swim stops weren’t particularly impressive, the freshly prepared food onboard was excellent.Another issue was that the hotel clearly was not fully operating despite accepting guests. We arrived before the season properly started and the place felt half-open and lifeless. Many areas appeared closed off, there was very little atmosphere, and evenings were incredibly dull. The entertainment was just quizzes always in the same room. Then suddenly, on our final night, additional sections opened up, lighting appeared everywhere, and the hotel finally resembled the resort advertised online. It felt unfair that earlier guests paid full price for a noticeably reduced experience. The restaurant staff worked hard but were almost aggressively efficient. Plates were often removed while people were still eating their last bites of food, to the point where it became uncomfortable. Also super fast to bring you water or a drink but awful at refilling. One genuine standout was the evening lobby bar manager, who was charismatic, welcoming, and one of the few people who really added personality to the hotel. There were very few British guests staying during our visit, which was absolutely not an issue for us. However, Bodrum itself was disappointing. The market traders were some of the most aggressive and least friendly we’ve encountered in Turkey. Bartering felt uncomfortable rather than enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere in town simply wasn’t pleasant. One man shouted at my husband that he was not a good man because he didn't buy the item he looked at.Overall, while the hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable, this is not a true 5-star experience. The food quality, lack of atmosphere, poor entertainment approach, and obvious pre-season limitations made the holiday underwhelming. Sadly, we would not return to Bodrum and would certainly not recommend the Samara Hotel. Girls Trip: Off-season edition!

    rating05 May 2026

We had an amazing stay at Samara Hotel from 28 April to 5 May. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, and the hotel itself is beautiful—perfect for a relaxing off-season getaway. It’s also conveniently close to the city centre if you want to explore or enjoy the nightlife. There was also a great selection of food and drinks available, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We treated ourselves to a 60-minute massage at the on-site spa, which was fantastic. A special thank you to Grace for such a wonderful experience and also to the spa employee (with glasses) who helped us to book - I cannot remember his name but he was so helpful! The only minor issue we noticed was that there was occasionally a slight smell in the room after housekeeping had cleaned, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience.Overall, we would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to return one day. A big thank you as well to Merve for making our stay so memorable!
