    It all evens out

    rating01 Oct 2024

Great: rate -$75.37 including tax. Bed was amazing, perfect mattress and coverlet, linens were fresh and while not luxurious, fine. 4 nice pillows on a king bed. Furniture was as shown in the picture - kind of a log cabin rustic theme. Very quiet. Morning front desk person very friendly. Nice warm water pressure in shower. Coffee downstairs was very good. Not so great: Mold in the grout in shower, something yucky in grout in bathroom floor tiles (the floor could use a good old-fashioned scrubbing instead of a damp mop or whatever they are doing), carpet is dark, with stripes of tan, brown and black, so you don't really see the stains unless it's light out and the curtains are drawn - but when they are drawn and the light hits, it's clear the carpet is not clean. Check in last night - young woman at front desk was not happy to be there - not rude, but clearly indifferent, and she was efficient. Breakfast buffet - skip it and eat at the Perkins nearby. It was basically inedible, and for me that is saying something. I got the last of the scrambled eggs from an unheated serving dish, along with diced potatoes (completely unseasoned) and sausage. I took bites of each, and threw out my plate (which I don't believe I've ever done before). No seasoning, cold, and the sausage was gross. I went back and had cold cereal (Raisin Bran - figured no kids would be eating it!), Plan B - cereal. I had just watched a little kid of about 8 put his hand on/under the fruit loops dispenser and crank out a handful with his hand up on the spout to make sure he caught it - figured Raisin Bran would be a better bet. This would actually be a great breakfast bar for kids who usually prefer unseasoned eggs and potatoes, love baby muffins (stale and tasteless - but cute), bagels and juice. All in all, the price was spectacular, I got a good night's sleep, a warm shower in the morning and coffee was good....so it all evened out and I would stay there again, just keep my Birkenstocks on in the room!

    Do Not Stay Here!

    rating09 Sept 2024

If you want to skip all the details below, at least take this away:"The GM is absolutely trash and will not assist in any fashion, the rooms are insecure and look like recent criminal activity has happened in them, the beds are dilapidated, hotel internet is horrendous, 5G T-Mobile data won't work in second floor room, druggies on the premises, the pool is NOT pristine and clean like in their photos, black mold in the shower areas of room. In general, this hotel doesn't look like it has been kept up at all."And I begin...Wyndham Customer Care #: 08029824Stay Date: August 22, 2024Room: 238My experience here was definitely a top-3 all time worst experience I have had staying at a hotel in my 44 years of life. Having traveled all 50 states as well as 43 countries in world to include third-world countries... let me explain why. From the time my six year old daughter and I arrived, there was an eerie feeling in the parking lot, with a few (maybe 3-4) random individuals just walking around the parking lot, looking a little "out of place". Meaning probably high. This was late afternoon/early evening when still daylight.Upon checking in, the process wasn't bad and the gentleman working the desk got the process done satisfactorily. Now let me mention that the reason we chose this hotel was both due to cost and the pictures of the nice pool setup. My daughter wanted a nice pool, so that is what we were going to get. After dropping our stuff off in the room, we chose to check the pool out. Let me just say that the level of green algae in that pool might've been " safe" according to the gentleman who does the checks, but did he actually see it? Did he actually feel it? It was bad.So after asking the front desk to cancel our reservations because their pool was unsatisfactory to say the least, he said they were unable to do that even though we had been there for maybe 12 minutes? Okay, so I contacted Wyndham support which after talking to them, sent me to a next tier support line. That is where things got contentious. The Wyndham support advisor was acting as if I was inconveniencing him, and refused to go off the checklist script that Wyndham gave him. Every time I would ask a question that he refused to answer, I would receive a huffy response and then a repeat of what he just said that answered NOTHING (roll back the tapes if you so like Wyndham, I'll wait). So he mentioned he would open an incident request with the GM of the Ramada Inn, and left it at that. Waste of time.About 30-40 minutes later, I received an email from the GM of Ramada Inn (not named in the email, go figure) that was a blanket "cover everything but the problem" template email that did not address the issue one bit. Two weeks later, that is all I have had. This GM has to be the most incompetent individual in terms of customer care, because you don't just copy/paste people's names into blanket statement emails, and expect good results. With that all being said, I only wanted to address the pool, but because of their poor customer support, let me list off, with photos... the other issues that we came across.1. Mold above the shower that had been painted over and mold growing through that (photo attached).2. Beds that were horribly sunk in as if two 650 lb individuals laid in those beds for 2 years straight (photo attached).3. 5G internet data does not work, and their WiFi was slow enough that you couldn't load up Google Maps to find a spot to eat. (photo attached)4. None of the TV channels worked.5. Most importantly, the latch to secure the room was snapped off and the door trim around it was broken in. As if there was some sort of domestic violence that went down, maybe cops were called for a suicidal standoff, maybe meth was being made here? I don't know, but the room was completely insecure. (photo attached)Spend $20 more and stay at the Fairfield Inn next door, it has been either recently built/remodeled, the rooms are excellent and the people working there are outstanding in my experience.

    rating12 Aug 2024

I have never in my life of all the years Ive traveled and stayed in hotels been so disturbed in my life! It stunk like poop. there was dog poop every where outside as well, along with garbage. shady looking drug addicts walking and lurking around there. even the staff looked like they were out of prison. very unclean room. there was even blood drops on the bedspread and the carpet that I took pictures of! could never get anyone to clean the room. I would have left if I could have found another hotel on short notice! disgusting and gross place! do not go there!!! its awful and the staff are rude too!

    Dirty unsafe experience

    rating09 Jul 2024

This hotel felt unsafe. They had sticks in the windows for security and there were multiple people in the hallways late into the evening who appeared to be doing what appeared to be a remodeling project that seemed shady. This hotel was dark and dreary with dark paint and filthy carpets. When we expressed any concerns to management we were told it was no refundable since it was less than 23 hours notice. We stayed the night but no one slept.Luckily we didn’t have any small children with us as I wouldn’t feel comfortable having them stay there.Definitely would not stay there again.

    Needs a lot of work.

    rating05 Jul 2024

We arrived at 11 pm on a Saturday night. The staff was very friendly but it doesn’t seem like they’ve been trained to manage a hotel. When we arrived there were many boxes piled up that were both opened and unopened. It was almost as if there were receiving new televisions and furniture. It was incredibly cluttered. I would say that hallways were in need of some serious vacuuming but what they really need is to have the severely stained carpet replaced. Our room was fairly clean other than the hair left in the bathtub drain. There was a small refrigerator in the room. It was turned all the way down so the freezer was frozen over and a piece of duct tape was used to hold the door closed. Which didn’t work. Normally when leaving a hotel you will notice housekeeping in the hallways working on rooms. There was not one person in sight. The doors to the utility rooms and laundry rooms were all hanging open so you could see how unorganized they were. The place desperately needs to be updated. Either they are short handed or they need to step up the standards.
